Almost forgot to post the mini Biwa Hayahide I also made as the third and final mini for my bff(he likes the grey horses)
I did have to adjust the pattern to make the head bigger(as Biwa had a reputation of having a large head)
I've been in a bit of an art funk lately, so I decided to do a little redraw of this piece from 2021.
Okay, we've got some little ladies to be made into jewelry! It's been a long time since I've used china paints and porcelain, and they're very small (pictured in a butter dish), but I think they're cute so far!
Also available in today's shop update (May 31st at 4pm EST) will be these little goose earrings!
been getting into embroidery recently, part of my bag that i want to cover in flowers
Another update to this project! In the last update I said I would transition the red pattern into orange towards the top, so here are the pics!
I decided on a slightly gradual transition by adding some more red horizontal lines before switching to orange entirely.
Next step is going to be finishing the grid lines on the other leg, and then covering it with green and (orange, yellow or red?) rice stitch.

been making sooooo many impkins lately!!!
this messed up vintage cat sewing pattern has tormented me since i saw it & like some other folks have done in that post - i tried my hand at tweaking the pattern to resemble the illustration (and my personal tastes) a little more. i've ended up with this, which i have only tested at a small scale and not this final version exactly (where i have done such things as further widening the cheeks and finalizing the leg shapes.) i bestow it upon you nice folks now đ
go forth and make weird little beanbag kittens! pls show me if you do!
woah this got big!! and after another try i have another untested tweak for yall. this should help the weird pinchy side seams out. yey
My first attempt! I made the pattern a bit smaller as I wanted it to be able to fit in a pocket, but then (accidentally but perhaps unavoidably) sewed it with a wider seam allowance than the resized pattern indicated, so the face is proportionally a bit too big and I lost some detail in the ear shape. I'm pleased with it though! It was fun to make something and to do some handsewing.
SOO CUTE AND TINIE đ
I tried this pattern a while back to try out some minky and I get no points for making the pattern well but looook at my boyyy
His name is Tofu. Thank you for sharing the pattern I will love him forever
I just finished this medieval style tunic today for one of my Paola Reina dolls. I recreated a pattern I found on Pinterest to the doll's measurements, and made it in two colours of linen (natural and mustard) with full embroidered neckline and sleeves.
The pattern includes front and back inserts, and underarm gussets, to allow for more freedom of movement - yes, the doll does not need them, but it was really fun to try a completely new idea, and I really enjoyed taking my time with the details.
Now I want to make one for each of my dolls, she looks so cute, and this is exactly the kind of style I was looking for!
The finished purple satin gown!
I love how it turned out, the color is fantastic but it wonât be staying on this cat, I want to make a different animal to wear it. What animal should I make? Iâm thinking maybe a fox but I havenât made up my mind yet
did some sashiko-styled reinforcement on my happi coat.
A lil Capybara for a friendâs daughter.
The RED corduroy trousers... FINISHED
they are finally complete, my index finger has grown a callous from hand sewing so solid that if I where to poke someone they would think I threw a rock at them, I fear it will never return to normal, I may start to consider a thimble. I HATE thimble's. I don't understand them, I fear them.
anyway, again the process of taking photos was a nightmare, I had the genius idea of just filming myself posing in the trousers and them trying to grab freeze frames of the video, HOWEVER it terns out if you are constantly moving the freeze-frames will in fact show that movement... so please be gentle withe the photo quality lol.
also I ended up hand sewing a red cotton lining into the pants to protect the embroidery backing.
if you have any questions about the project, or advice/recourses on how to do things like this feel free to comment or message, I'm always happy to talk embroidery and up cycling fashion.
