Welcome to my online Art & Research Journal...
This space is dedicated to 'open enquiry', ongoing research + reflections related to my work, art practice - I hold an MA & BA in Fine Art from Wimbledon School Of Art, London, UK - plus my interest in consciousness, Sacred Geometry and how we 'create' in the broadest sense.
It's also a space related to the influence my father - Keith Critchlow (1933-2020) - had on me, my work and the path my life has taken.
Keith was not only my father (and an amazing one), he was my first spiritual teacher and my first art teacher and I was given an education at home I never received at School. The one at home was far better.
I choose to share my research, my reflections and the teaching principles that my father taught me here with you.
I worked closely with him from a young age, right up until he passed away, as research Assistant at the Art Department he founded; originally called Visual Islamic & Traditional Arts - now called The Kings Foundation For Traditional Arts - and as his research and publications assistant on many of his book publications, talks and more.
I've spent the last decade working and training as an Energy Healer & Human Potential Coach - as the desire to create art led me onto an exploration about how we create with consciousness - I always knew at some point I'd love to bring my interest in both together.
Since my father passed away I've taken up the practice of Sacred Geometry learning from those who taught him.
People have asked me why I didn't do this when he was alive. When he was alive, it was his area and domain and when he passed away it struck me how much of a hole he'd left for many - I read the messages people sent and the posts people put up and noted how many people attributed their own paths and life works and interest in Sacred Geometry to him.
I knew how many lives he'd touched and how very blessed I was to be a child (one of 3 daughters and one son), and what a rare and precious position to be in to have always been in such close proximity to such a wise, generous, insightful, kind and unusual human being.
I had ongoing access to ask him questions (always), to learn from him, to be surrounded by Sacred Geometry - I've been steeped in it and surrounded by it since birth, before I could even speak I saw patterns!
I knew (know) I want to continue this legacy, and continue my own research and practice too. It's good to make a distinction that there is a body of work that he has left that I hope will be preserved forever in his books, in places he founded when he was alive, the few videos online + there is the ongoing work, research and practice that he's inspired in many through his work - I am one of those.
When he passed away I helped co-found a Keith Critchlow legacy CIC to hold and share artefacts and unpublished works from his London, garden studio and yet as time has passed, it's become clear to me that his legacy is more than museum archives - the power of his work lies in being kept alive, embodied, practiced - with research continuing and lives being changed and inspired. That is the aim of this space.
I will list places where you can access his archival works + resources and you join me here in a living practice of his principles related to art, life and Sacred Geometry.
See the Keith Critchlow resources tab for specific resources related to him and his work including online + book publications.
I am a qualified Teacher in both Fine Art & The Healing Arts (energy healing) with a deep love love teaching. Watch this space for arts educational workshops and experiences, study and practice including Sacred Geometry.
