Yeah, but itâs Taylor SwiftâŠ
âŠis that REALLY something women want to be proud of???
What are you saying?? An achievement for all women in music shouldnât be seen as what it is because itâs Taylor Swift and you may not like her music or personality as portrayed in the media?
Iâm saying I wish it had been someone far more talented and worthy of such an honor. Sheâs a stuck up little brat whoâs made what loosely can be defined as a music career. Just because itâs popular doesnât mean itâs good.
I donât much look forward to having to explain to my daughter that someone like Taylor Swift was a musical âtrail blazerâ for women. There are about a dozen other better candidates, but sadly, people seem to keep subscribing to the idea that as long as a song has a beat and is written by a cute girl that sings about how boys are booger faces.
So yeahâŠ
You should probably educate yourself so you donât embarrass yourself further, considering this song that was what lead this achievement to be made is about the common misconception that she is a man-eater, or like you said, âhow she sings about how boys are booger faces.â I can see you not liking her music, thatâs fine, but you donât mock her career. This career, that sheâs built completely herself, without the help of some producers who found her on a TV-talent show or youtube is far much more than âwhat loosely can be defined as a music career.â She is a billionaire, and even with a whole team of people who could very easily make every decision for her, she continues to make all of them herself. If you donât look forward to explaining to your daughter what Taylor Swift has done for the music industry and specifically for women in the industry, then donât have a daughter. But she couldnât have gotten this far without talent, and even if you disagree, the 5 million people who went out and bought her album in the last 2 months and made it the best selling album of 2014, seem to disagree.
reblogging for that last comment. people need to start realising that taylor swiftâs music is much better than media portrays it to be and if a man writes songs about his break ups he is not treated the same way as Taylor and many other equally as good female singers
look , i literally canât stress how cute this deleted parks and rec scene is and im about to lose my fucking shit.

Intense photos put Mexicoâs growing crisis into vivid perspective
Tens of thousands of demonstrators flooded the streets of Mexico City on Thursday in one of the largest shows to date of public indignation over government corruption and the disappearance of 43 college students from the southern city of Iguala.
Demonstrators marched towards President Enrique Peña Nietoâs National Palace to protest his handling of the probable massacre. Hundreds of police in riot gear blocked access to the palace, where thousands of protesters gathered to demand justice for the students who disappeared on Sept. 26.Â

donât do anything with the KKK credit card info. You risk getting yourself into a lot of legal trouble. Prank call them, spam the fuck out of their fax machines, order 20 pizzas and send them to their house, but seriously donât risk getting arrested over credit card theft unless you know what youâre doing and u can cover ur tracks

I didnât want to reblog this because itâs hard to look at, but people SHOULD see it.
We SHOULD see a father mourning his teenage son.
We SHOULD see how a killing like Mikeâs can take a toll on not only a community, but a family.
Itâs as easy for young black men to become martyrs as it is for them to become victims. They can never just be humans.Â
We can never just be.
