ā¾ ā± Shadowās ear twitched in acknowledgement but he said nothing else, simply leading her through the forest confidently. It was as though he was apart of the trees and earth, expertly weaving his way down paths and over uneven ground without a single thought. His palm ran over the bark of trees as he passed by, almost as though he was greeting them.
It wasnāt long before they arrived in a clearing in which a decently sized cabin sat cozily in the center. Flowers and vegetation seemed to burst from the small garden by the porch, vines wrapping around the house and climbing up the sides. A large lilac bush stood directly besides the front door, itās sweet, strong scent filling the air.
The ebony hedgehog hopped up the steps of the porch and to the door, unlocking it once, then locking it, then unlocking it once more before swinging it open and gesturing the other in. He followed after, closing and locking the door eight times behind him.
Finally he turned to face Tempest, a frown tugging at his lips. āStay.ā He ordered and then left the living room, disappearing into the kitchen for a moment. The living room was small but very homey. There wasnāt much furniture, simply a worn red sofa sitting in front of an old TV and a grand piano sitting in the corner. However, there was almost no empty space at all. Every inch of the house seemed to be overflowing with wind chimes, herbs, succulents and various other greenery and plantlife.
Finally he returned, a large bowl of cat food in his hands as he headed for a room down the hall. As he passed by, he gave her a quick glance. āYou can have a seat. Iāll be back.ā And then he disappeared once more into the mysterious room.
Tempest quieted as Shadow vanished to go about whatever he needed to do. It was definitely going to be a long night... She remained still as Shadow walked off to some room, not even daring to step forward per his command. It wasn't so much out of fear, panic, or anything of the sort... Just trying to be a decent houseguest, or at least as much of one as she could be.
The place was rather.... Nature-driven, based on the coating of plants that was nearly everywhere. The scents did little to Tempest outside of slightly tickle her nose. She breathed in. Another way to distract herself from going haywire, if such a thing was possible out here. She blinked when Shadow returned, and immediately left. Well.. At least she could sit down?... The hedgehog definitely had little to no social skills, but that scarcely mattered to her. Having to deal with those who knew social techniques like the back of their hand was often more disconcerting than dealing with those who did not.
Tempest moved cautiously to the couch. She sat down quietly, pulling her pack to her front and opening it to examine the contents. She hadn't any need for the energy bar at present, the emotion-inhibiting swabs were useless in this dimension, and the personal bandages wouldn't be used at all if she could avoid it. She closed the pack back up and silently looked straight ahead, allowing her thoughts to overtake her conscious body. The flame was numb, drawn back heavily by the Chaos Emerald she had. The blood in her veins felt nonexistent, so that was good... And she had less than a day before she could return home... Soon enough, she would be doing just that, and getting out of the hedgehog's quills.
