madison nodded, not entirely believing what he said. “i’m sure you do.” she wasn’t sure why she expected more from amir, but for whatever reason, she did. the girl scoffed at him, rolling her eyes. “i’m not mad. it’s frustrating. because it’s not like this was the first time it happened. hey – i’m busy too. news flash, but you’re not the only who has a job.”
amir narrowed his eyes, becoming increasingly upset as madison was obviously not convinced of his emotions. “then why am i here if i don’t care? why would i use the only hour i have free during my entire day to hang out?” he asked, his voice filling the room and his vocals becoming more gruff. not wanting to yell anymore or cause much more of a scene, he relaxed into his chair, crossing his arms like an upset child. “clearly you are mad. and i know you have a job, but it’s not that easy, madison.” the name was unfamiliar to him and he felt like he wasn’t even talking to the same person. “what do you want me to say?”
