Crystal Reed’s character being sidelined for 99.99999% of the season, PARTICULARLY as Jeff Davis KNEW this would be her final one and so should have given her a season-long sendoff worthy of the most badass of vikings

Allison’s death being dangled over our heads all season as a FUN marketing gimmick - I’ve not seen a more gross display of disrespect for a character, not to mention the fans who loved her

Allison’s DEATH. I agree that Allison would have cut off her own arm rather than voluntarily leave her friends, but there are plenty of ways she could have been forced to leave Beacon Hills without her dying. The show is just a) not creative enough to come up with an alternative and b) needed to add another misogynistic, man-pain notch to it’s bedpost

So please don’t tag every response to crit with “but it was Crystal’s decision”. Yes, it was. Quite frankly, I think it was a good one given the writing she’s been dealt and the fan feedback she’s received. That woman deserves so much better and I hope she finds it. But her leaving under her own steam does not negate the bullshit way her character was written off.

THAT’S what I’m pissed about. And that’s why my “jeff davis is not a gift” tag is getting a workout right now.
