It is with profound sadness that the family of George Kirkland announces his passing after prolonged illness, at the age of 89. Mr. Kirkland is survived by his five children and loving wife.
The funeral service will be held at South London Crematorium, Rowan Road at 12pm on Sunday 25th March. All are welcome to attend. Please make any charitable donations to The British Heart Foundation.
The kids fell asleep half-way through the animated movie, but Gabriel was too tired, too loose-limbed, too comfortable to move. He looked at Arthur beside him, Leon nestled right above his chest falling and rising with every one of Arthur’s breaths, face scrunched and pressed into Arthur’s shirt, and he smiled. He wouldn’t have thought any of this would have been possible eight years ago, when they started the adoption process.

A little bit of Piratalia! This is an scene part of the fifth (yeah, fifth) version of an AU I roleplayed with @greengreekeyes25 this year. This version was the best and the finest, which has the more consistent ending and a lot of real research about matelotage and stuff. It took us like 6 months, I think.
Day 7 (May 14th) ~ You made it possible @engportevents
This one requires a lot of explanation: in my headcanon, Nations has humanoid side as the main one, but not the only one. They're multidimensional creatures and all of them were created in Pangea, the First Mother, through a dimension I call The Dream World (little of Sandman's idea); then they took several forms and sides while the countries, kingdoms and regions were built or rebuilt. Finally, they took human form as their population and they "were born".
But as historical beings they've got multiple sides which are all working at the same time. They belong to each significant change, revolution of modification of the identity of the country (child, pirates, revolution wars, etc). So the older they are, the more sides they have. Are this sides crossing that dimension and come here? yes, when something happen they took the main continent and personality, gender or circumstance requires it.
The most ancient sides are primitive: animals, concepts or ideologies. For me, Portugal is a sea blue dragon because he was born in the ocean and the dragon was the first symbolical creature that portuguese has as a kingdom. England is a tiger; full of thunder and celtic magic - that's why the color and the weird stripes. Tiger and not lion, because the lion is Spain. But in time, he took the final primitive shape with Pirate Era. A tiger is a powerful, ambitious, majestic, selfish and some lonely creature. Misunderstood, too.
This scene is a special place: England reshaped some dreams and he did a nest for his dragon, as a gift of eternal love. The tree there is called Saint Hawthorn and, as a curios thing, it's the last sparkle of the existence of Templar, who offered himself to do that instead of being totally extincted. So he became the purest tree that takes care of Portugal. And it's a place any nation can use to heal his sides or their "souls".
