I’ve learned the basics of this method from Sintiklia’s tutorial, but I was made aware, that her blog is no longer accessible… and since I’m doing a few things different anyway, I’ve decided to write a new one. This is only for ingame screenshots and in my opinion this is the better method if you’re using alpha hair, just because it looks way smoother. But I might try to write a tutorial for CAS as well, when I find the time and the motivation.

So I’ve been thinking a lot about this Oasis Springs save (a.k.a. Maristella), and I think I have a fairly good idea of the direction in which I want to go. I’ve come up with a rough outline of the neighborhoods and lots (which is, of course, all subject to change depending on inspiration, my mood, the weather, etc.). I had a bunch of my own ideas and tried to incorporate some of yours as well. So even though this world will have a definite theme (or a few themes tied together), I hope there will be something for everyone! If the save itself is not your cup of tea, perhaps some of the individual lots will be.

Here’s the preliminary plan (the lot names are the current Maxis lot names as seen in the Oasis Springs map by @roastingbeetles):
