A few photos from the battle of york anniversary at fort york on the 27th of April.
Attended a very cool WWI event in Newville Pennsylvania and got these shots. This was an incredibly detailed event with a lot going on. It would be impossible to cover everything that was happening, but it was incredibly immersive with no public around. Very cool!
I also got to take some pretty cool photos this summer at D-Day Conneaut in Ohio. It was super cool to get in with the troops on the beach and take photos.
A very fun trip to Fort George this summer to see the 1812 reenactment. As I get older the camp life stuff and work in the kitchen becomes a lot more interesting than just the drill and soldiering (still fun). Met lots of great people and learned a lot of cool stuff.
just bleh winter. no snow, no romance, dark skies ugh
It was also a lot of fun to make it out to the Battle of Stoney Creek war of 1812 reenactment. I’d wanted to get out to an 1812 event to take photos and this was great. Unfortuantely I only had a couple of hours to stick around. I’d like to get more opportunity to shoot a full event, especially the camp life, women, kids, officers - the stuff you don’t see the details of during the battles.
Two Highland gentlemen before the dinner.
From the interior of the museum of human rights in Winnipeg. This is a great looking building and a pretty interesting museum. I’d like to see more artifacts and less info-graphic displays, but still worth seeing overall.
Had a great time taking photos of these guys reenacting the Long Range Desert Group. They really worked hard on these vehicles that they've restored and kitted out. Looking for more opportunities like this to shoot! DM me.
Took some great photos at a WW2 Airsoft event. I’d love to get more and of other periods. Thanks to the guys for letting me come and take these photos.
Sometimes it was a really beautiful place to be. Riga is a very lovely city.
A lot of the winter was spent driving around Latvia on weekends. Everything was closed, no one was around. A lot of wide open Baltic spaces, with old castles. It was a really strange and eerie experience.
Daugivpils is this really neat town with a huge fortress wall crumbling around it. They started building it during the Napoleonic Wars, and it was in use until WW2.
Photos from today’s isolation walk along the Bruce trail and some railroads.
Some more of those reenacting photos I said I’d get!
Some weird doll shit in the woods near Prescott, ON.
Photos from the reenactment at Fort George. I had a great time embedded with the group and taking plenty of photos. I definitely want to keep getting reenacting photos - it’s a blast when they hand you a cool location, crazy characters and props on a silver platter.
