By the time you read this, I may have died and my death was not announced. So please, ask Allah to have mercy on my soul; to forgive me for my sins, transgressions, and shortcomings; to accept me; to make my questioning easy; to save me from the punishments and torments of the grave; to make the Hellfire haram for me; and to unite me with the best of His creation. May Allah have mercy upon you. And forgive me if I have hurt or wronged you.

أزل الفخر في قلوبنا الذي يمنعنا من البحث عن رحمتك

Ya Allah, Bless us with humility. Remove the pride in our hearts that prevents us from seeking your mercy.

Always reflect, always return السَلام

Much of our worries can simply be diminished by a mere utter with pure belief of these words:

ٱلَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ قَدْ جَمَعُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَـٰنًا وَقَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ ٱلْوَكِيلُ

Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ

Indeed, from Allah nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven

وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them; and He has power over all things.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ قُل لِّمَن فِىٓ أَيْدِيكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَسْرَىٰٓ إِن يَعْلَمِ ٱللَّهُ فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ خَيْرًا يُؤْتِكُمْ خَيْرًا مِّمَّآ أُخِذَ مِنكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

If Allah finds any good in your heart, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you.

استمع جيدًا إلى همسات الريح. ستجد أن التوكل الكامل لا يجلب السلام إلا في الداخل.

Listen well to the whispers of the wind. You will discover that complete tawakkul only brings peace within.

رحلة الحياة أجمل بكثير مما نعتقد إذا تذكرنا خالقها

The journey of life is much more beautiful than we think if we remember the creator of it

لا يمكننا دائما أن نجد السلام ، وأحيانا علينا أن نصنعه

We cannot always find peace, sometimes we have to create it.

We can create it through the simplicity of life, through the company that we keep and the places that we see. Happiness and peace can be in the palm of our hands, from the lips of our spoken prayers, or with a pen of the words that we write. In the moments that we live through that, no words can ever define but engraved deeply in our hearts.

القلب المستمع سيجد السلام بين الصمت

A listening heart will find peace in between silences. A grateful heart will learn wisdom in suffering and misfortunes. A heart of acceptance will find strength in reliance upon Allah ‎ﷻ

BASICS OF ISLAM: SUPPLICATION(DUA): PART 6

God instructs us how to address our supplications to Him in the Holy Quran clearly so that we do not need any further explanation, Call upon your Lord (O humankind) with humility and in the secrecy of your hearts. Indeed your Lord does not love those who exceed the bounds. (Keep within the bounds He has decreed:) Do not cause disorder and corruption on the earth seeing that it has been so well ordered, and call upon Him with fear (of His punishment) and longing (for His forgiveness and mercy). Gods mercy is indeed near to those devoted to doing good, aware that God is seeing them. (Al-Araf Surah, 7:55, 56) 

Remember and mention your Lord within yourself (in the depths of your heart), most humbly and in awe, not loud of voice, at morning and evening. And do not be among the neglectful. (Al-Araf Surah, 7:205) And, also God forbids us not to supplicate by becoming proud and arrogant, to supplicate in a screech tone by raising hands excessively and He orders us to supplicate in a humble, and doleful way with a soft voice. Those who are in your Lords Presence never turn away from His service out of pride, and they glorify Him, and prostrate before Him. (Al-Araf Surah, 7:206) Human beings are only allowed to address their supplications to God. That is to say, God is the only One that humans can make a request , no one else, because, To Him alone is made the call of truth and the prayer of truth addressed. Those to whom they invoke and call others (to invoke), apart from Him, cannot answer them in any way – (so that he who invokes them is but) like one who stretches out his hands to water (praying) that it may come to his mouth, but it never comes to it. The prayer of the unbelievers is but destined to go to waste. (Ar-Rad Surah, 13:14) The most admirable and blessed time of supplication in the view of God is when everyone is sleeping or doing else. Elders always have waited for such times to supplicate. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) too, made his supplications of general importance after nighttime prayers. By laying all unawareness, and sleeping aside, invoking cause you to become closer to God. Their sides forsake their beds at night, calling out to their Lord in fear (of His punishment) and hope (for His forgiveness, grace, and good pleasure), and out of what We have provided for them (of wealth, knowledge, power, etc.,) they spend (to provide sustenance for the needy and in Gods cause, purely for the good pleasure of God and without placing others under obligation). (As-Sajdah Surah, 32:16)

‎The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

‎“Fasting is a shield as long as one does not pierce it, it was said: ‘With what does one pierce it?’, he said: ‘With backbiting and lying’.”

‎[رواه الطبراني]

‎'Umar رضي الله عنه used to say:

‎“Fasting does not mean keeping away from only food and drink, it also means keeping away from lying, falsehood and swearing (by Allâh without need).”

‎Mujāhid رحمه الله:

‎“There are two practices, if a person can keep himself from them, his fast will be secured for him: backbiting and lying.”
