I’m actually clawing at my own face right now re-watching Contorno. Hannibal and Bedelia are talking about fireflies feeding on snails, and how their lives are so brief, how many snails they devour to fuel such short lives, to fuel their transformations, and Hannibal says:

“Better to live true to yourself for an instant than never know it”

And I just

that is exactly what Will allowed himself for a few fleeting moments before he took himself and Hannibal over the edge of that cliff. He was true to himself, even if only for an instant, and I cannot even begin to deal with this right now…
