Weaver the Reaper:
Oh, he’s still technically alive. It’s a bit hard to explain, but it’s just his body that gave up the ghost. Now he’s kind of stuck inside the dress, and a little annoyed that he doesn’t have hands anymore.
(Reaver shrugs)
I suppose I could have worded it better. But hydrokinesis is still pretty magical, just on the smaller scale. Stuff like that is specialized, but useful. The magic that goes into the dress is more intracate. It detects the wearer’s needs and changes to suit them.
(He nods)
Knowing that most amphibious monsters are cold blooded, I thought that it might come in handy for it to be able to produce its own heat. Just to make sure that you’re comfortable.
Well that explanations was rather strange. The woman blinked. Probably the only time Exol’s heterochromatic eyes ever opened for a second. A body that faded away and left the soul’s ghost to inhabit a dress? How odd would it be to wear that? What if the dress whispered to you while you wore it? Hopefully nobody owned it or else she’d have bad news for them.
❝ That’s quite strange but at-at least he’s not... Entirely dead? How does someone say something like that without sounding rude... But I suppose hydrokinesis can count as magic. I find it more like a super power than anything. But then again- didn’t the queen have a sort of fire magic? Pyrokinesis? I suppose in a sense it does count as magic. ❞
Hearing that the dress exhausted it’s own heat source, Exol smiled slightly. Not only was it versatile for her to swim in but she can also wear it comfortably without becoming too cold? This dress was getting better and better by the second.

Normally when she went to the cafe she had enough change to cover her food. But perhaps she miscounted this time- she could of swore she had enough left over from rent. And despite being friends with the shop’s owner, Teevii, she still needed to pay for her drink. So heading over to the nearest table, she feebly asked for change.

The monster bounded towards the human, seeming rather excited for once. Why would she act such a way? Simple- she had something to show the woman. After their last conversation, Exol decided that she would write a book about the Underground and to her surprise- she’s actually found someone to publish it! So held in her large hands was the transcript for her book.
❝ Remember how you said I should write a book about the Underground? Well- Would you like to read over the transcript for it? ❞

So there were certain conditions on all the region in the Underground? So..Snowdin was worse in the winter, Hotland was worse in the summer; however, Waterfall seems to be pleasant, the only downfall was the rain, and New Home in the autumn seems to be beautiful from the trees and flowers coming from what Exol told her. There are so many places…she didn’t know the expansion other than the Ruins and just Snowdin in general. She was awe in wonder by this info.
“…Oh wow…I didn’t know that snowstorms would occur in Snowdin…even weather in certain places…” V spoke, quite dumbfounded by the season condition in certain region. Waterfall, Hotland, and New Home seems to be new places she haven’t yet traveled to…
However, she perked up again as soon as Exol warned her about going to the town of Snowdin. The town…oh boy. She prayed that they won’t be hostile towards her, since she is a human. That also includes repeated deaths of her SOUL shattering. She really doesn’t want to harm the residents of Snowdin if anything were taken the wrong way. Not to mention…there was a certain someone that she have to face at the end of Snowdin but perhaps…she’s…not ready nor prepare for the outcome.
“…Y-yeah…I’ll be more careful…” She promised, nodding in acknowledgement by Exol’s warning. Although, she realized something…she never told her name to the amphibian as they were talking. Maybe she could introduce herself to get to know each other better.
“…I may have…forgotten to introduce myself…my name is V….” She greeted. “…What’s your name, Miss?”
❝ It-It’s alright- not many monsters even realize it either. I’m rather quiet so I tend to observe the changing of seasons. Winter in Hotlands is never really different from spring, fall or summer. Though a noticeable difference I’ve heard from locals is the temperature does drop a degree or two. Nothing noticeable to someone like me of course who thrives in lukewarm climates. People seem to forget that us amphibians tend to not do well in cold or extremely hot conditions. Unless you’re like- a snow amphibian. Though I have yet to actually meet one. I don’t doubt they exist though. They’re like- cryptids. ❞
Would cryptids be considered monsters? Technically so. But the characteristic of cryptids are that people can’t prove their existence. So cryptids in a way are like the monster’s version of fairytale characters. Perhaps the Alice in Wonderland of the monster world would be considered a cryptid? It was an interesting thought but one short lived as the axolotl continued their trek towards the winter town. As the twinkling lights of small christmas bulbs came into view, her attention was caught by the young child. Had she forgotten to tell her her name! How careless of her.
❝ Oh- It’s nice to meet you V. I’m Exol. We’re right at the brink of Snowdin so if I were you I’d hide your face or something. at least that way people would think you’re just a monster child with hair. Or at most, a monster with fuzzy fur. ❞
The residents seem oblivious to Exol walking hand in hand with a child- not like that was actually out of the ordinary. The monster had a reputation for acting motherly towards lost children. Some even suggested she start an orphanage. However that required G she didn’t have so no matter how much she’d like to care for the wandering kids under Mount Ebott, she couldn’t.
Ratman:
The ratmen’s ears perked a little down when she refused… well, it was understandable, not anyone has so little pride to decide to go to someone they nearly didn’t know anything about and ask to be given ospitality in their house.
“O-o-ok… But…if you c-c-change idea…go near t-the ‘Wishing Room’ in W-w-waterfall… there’s a house…i live there w-w-with my friend and my l-l-little sister…. My f-f-friend Kaynine is a g-good guy and he he-helped me a l-l-lot…“
Though this offer was the best she could get, with her upbringing she knew she couldn’t take it. It’d be too much for her. And with so many strangers? How would she survive? She had bad enough anxiety just being by herself. But being around other monsters? Oh dear lord she’d have a heart attack. Though... The rat was just offering out of the goodness of his heart. Chewing on her lip slightly, she glanced around and sighed.
❝ I... Really don’t have anywhere else to stay. I suppose it’d be alright for me to stay- as- as long as it’s alright with you and your friend. A-Again I don’t want to be a burden and all... Uhm- I just have bad anxiety- it’s hard for me to stay around people I barely know. ❞
Weaver the Reaper:
I learned from a monster named Lepidoptera Moth. He was the tailor who ran the shop I worked at. Sadly he passed away a while back, just after completing his life’s work, a living dress.
(Reaver smiles and sighs)
Really, I don’t need much in the way of payment, being able to show someone a fraction of his skill is enough for me.
(Seems like he really liked this Moth guy. He certainly holds him in very high esteem.)
Exol listened with eager ears- well, if she actually had any. The amphibian was not one for magic- she didn’t have the capacity for it. Unless one would count hydrokinesis as magic. She’s among the outlier of her species for that exact reason.
However hearing about the moth’s passing, a frown found it’s way to Exol’s lips. Such a bright light gone so soon.
❝ I’m sorry for your loss. I’m sure he’d be proud of this dress you made- it’s quite breathtaking to say the least. But seriously- if you ever need anything I can assist. ❞
The axolotl has always been a generous and giving towards those she finds.

Best friend:
“I’m glad you’re not mad,” he said, brushing his bangs out of his face for a second, exposing the still-unfinished portion of his face that was normally hidden under his hair. Oh yes. He was that comfortable around Exol that he didn’t care if she saw what he believed to be the ugliest physical part of himself. “Really? Sugar-fins, you know that if you ever need a spare hand around the place, I don’t mind volunteering. I’m sure even your boss wouldn’t mind me working the floor with you as long as I did the work~” He then chuckled.
“To Waterfall, then! Oh. I also have something else I want to mention to you. It’s more of a question, actually.”
Exol didn’t mind, she thought the unfinished part was just as ~gorgeous~ as the rest of Mettaton, he is the monster gorgeous robot in the Underground after all! She gawked a bit and playfully smacked Mettaton’s arm. He knew just how embarrassed she was every time he comes in. Let’s not begin with the uniform incident, that was probably the Worst.
❝ Gah- Mettaton I’d cry if you tried to volunteer. ❞
She let out a small chuckle as well, crossing her arms and beginning to follow the robot, however she stopped in her tracks as he mentioned he had an inquiry for her. She raised an eyebrow slightly and rolled her shoulders.
❝ Oh- sure Mettaton, shoot. ❞
The fallen prince, ASRIEL DREEMURR:
“I wish it were as easy as believing that they would love me no matter what, but it isn’t quite that simple. I’ve had to do some truly terrible things to be like this, there’s blood on my hands, and that’s something I’m prepared to have to own up to if it’s ever brought into question with the other monsters.” He paused, and swallowed nervously. He seemed to have trouble looking the other in the eyes as he spoke, as this wasn’t easy to talk about, especially not with someone he just met. Still, the truth would come out eventually anyway, would it not?She already found out who he was, it stood to reason that he couldn’t hide what he’d done in the past for long.
“My mother had forsaken my father for killing a few humans. What would she think if she knew that I, too, was a murderer? I doubt she would consider me her son anymore… and my father, would he understand that the deaths at my hands were a means to a better end, or would he forsake me because I had to hurt monsters too?” He shook his head, and cleared the thought from his mind for the time being. There was a lot he hadn’t told her, and he didn’t expect that she would fully understand. “Mine is a long story, I’d tell you the whole tale someday, but if you don’t wish to converse with me any longer knowing that I’ve hurt people, I understand.”
Exol was dead silent as she listened to Asriel. So that’s what he did. He absorbed the souls after all. The books were true, they weren’t theories, they were true. She hoped her hunch wasn’t this, but she has to face the music. It was obvious just how regretful he was though. She couldn’t bastardize a monster who felt regret over his own actions. Exol stayed put, fumbling with her fingers slightly. She didn’t hate Asriel, no not really. She felt sympathetic really. The monster went over quickly and pat the monster on the shoulder, trying to pick her words carefully. How does one address a situation such as this? How do you address a monster who has killed fellow monsters. He talked as if he was saying he was a serial killer, but that can’t be the case. He must have been doing it for survival right? Right...? Regardless, Exol put on a sympathetic smile, trying to calm the other.
❝ Asriel, I would like to keep conversing with you. You’re quite the interesting individual. And you’ve made it apparent just how regretful you are of your actions. That is something I cannot be upset about. All monsters have done actions they have regretted, some worst than others. But if you have at least tried to atone for them, then I do not believe that you will be forsaken if you just made it clear that you have atoned for your sins and regretted what you have done. Perhaps I am too much of a push over, but I see a golden heart in your Asriel. You talk like a monster in possession of a golden heart. I can see though why you would want to take some time before contacting your parents, something like that must be so hard to bare and I am sorry you have to endure this all alone. But if you would let me, I would like to be here for you so you don’t have to be all alone. ❞
She was very firm with what she said, remaining by the other monster’s side.
Chicken man:
Sporting a happy smile regardless, Tyree stands up straight, and crosses his arms. Exol must be a rather shy bean to turn this down, though he couldn’t blame her. What if someone stumbles upon their foolish antics? She would probably be trembling where she stands while her nerves is out of wrack. Now he wonders how uncomfortable she would be if he tries to take her picture.
“But Exolllllll… I want you to join the chicken revolutionnnnn…”He whines, before continuing to speak as he tries to pat her on the shoulder a few times.
“But that’s okay. It was fun while it lasted. Oh, keep the beak, by the way. I’m gonna convert the whole Underground into chickens! Even the king too!”
Exol tensed up slightly, feelign Tyree pat her shoulder. but quickly relaxed as she glanced over. Well, at least she tried, that’s all that matters. She did something out of her comfort zone today, that was one step towards being a more open person like she used to be as a child. Exol scoffed a bit as he whined, letting out a small chuckle. So he plans to have King Asgore get in on this too? He’d probably love it. The king was best known for how silly he was. King Fluffybuns and all. Exol let out a small sigh and looked over to Tyree.
❝ Well- at least you can let me have this. I apologize though, I’m not one for such outrageous antics, I’m not exactly at that stage yet. It’s like me trying to stop being anxious cold turkey. Is that the right way to use the term? I’m not quite sure. But I just can’t step so out of my comfort zone, you see. ❞
❝ I’ll keep the beak for safe keeping, but I’d love to see the King go around acting like a chicken, it’d be the funniest thing the Underground’s ever seen in years. ❞
Weaver the reaper:
(The minute the dress touches the water, it becomes a one piece swimsuit with the same design, perfectly designed for ease of movement. It’s quite comfortable and it looks just as good. Reaver smiles at the success of his work.)
Pretty cool, huh? I figured since that you’re amphibious, you would be swimming a good deal on a routine basis. That, coupled with the fact that you live in a frosty area like this confirmed the need for it to shapeshift a bit to suit your daily routine.
(He nods)
It’ll turn into a warm winter parka as well, with the bottom hem going down to your ankles. It should create a pair of pants to cover your legs as well, ensuring they won’t get cold. Anywhere else it’ll be in its beautiful dress form.
Exol looked down, observing it transform. The feeling was quite- quick actually, almost unnoticeable, but it wasn’t uncomfortable either. The feeling of magic washing over her body to reveal a very cute one piece covered in bubbles was just wonderful! And for once, she didn’t feel uncomfortable being in a swim suit in front of somebody. Exol just smiled more and more, looking up to Reaver.
❝ That’s so amazing! Where did you learn to do magic like this? It’s so so impressive I’m almost at a loss for words. Really Reaver, thank you oh so very much, it’s so beautiful. How can I repay you. There must be something more than letting you use my home for shelter. This dress is too great to not having something just as grand in return. ❞
Within the realm of reason, Exol would do anything to repay Reaver. This was just so kind of him to do for someone like her. She didn’t need this dress but at the same time it was almost too good to be true and too perfect for words. It was like a dream, it felt like a dream really. Exol slowly exited the water and observed it transform back into a beautiful flowing dress. It was so so pretty.

Spiderbite:
Nansi finished off her coffee, downing the last of it before putting the cup back down. She perked up as she saw Exol digging through her bag to pay.
“A-are you sure? I’d be happy to pay, really it’s no problem. B-but if you insist I guess…”
Nansi took a deep breath, calming herself down. Why was she so nervous again? It must be nothing, probably just nerves. That was it, right? Right.
“I’m excited about it too. But, it would be best if I knew where you lived, hehe. I’d be glad to escort you home, though.”
She stood up, pushing her chair in and walking over to Exol, holding out her hand for Exol. Nansi gave a small smile, but she still looked the slightest bit nervous. Probably because she was.
“Shall we?”
Exol paused for a moment, glancing up at Nansi. She gave the warmest of smiles yet to the spider, waving her hand dismissively.
❝ No no- It’s perfectly fine, I brought you here to the first place so it’s obviously me who should pay. I have enough in my pay check so don’t you worry. I have a lot in my savings in the off chance I do need money. ❞
Taking out a coin purse, Exol placed down the exact amount of G needed to pay, rolling up quickly as if on heelies, Tee Vii took away to two cups and saucers, and with a third hand coming out from a cavity in her torso, she scooped up the money as well and took it back to the counter.
Exol smiled slightly and stood up, pulling on her bag and carrying her necessary winter clothes for when she gets back to Snowdin’s atmosphere.
❝ Just follow me, my home borders Waterfall basically, still inside the Snowdin residential district though. ❞
She got up, pushing in her chair politely and made her way to the door, waiting quietly for Nansi.
