Some of us deal with mental illness, some of us were abused, some of us never felt good enough, some of us had our familes torn apart, some of us weren’t accepted into any school we applied for, some of us are drop outs, some of us are dirt poor, some of us are expected to be something we are not, some of us were raped, some of us have high expectations to live up to, some of us struggle with identity, some of us have self image issues, some of us don’t know what we want in life, some of us were hurt by the ones we love, some of us work minimum wage jobs, some of us were kicked out of our homes at 18, some of us can’t recover from an addiction, some of us want it all to end, some of us can’t walk, some of us were cheated on, some of us are disciminated against for the color of our skin, for our religion, for our appearance, some of us struggle with self harm, some of us binge and purge, some of us always felt too heavy, some of us have tried to run away, some of us have cancer, some of us have had a loved one die, some of us started a family too young, some of us have depression, some of us can’t seem to keep a significant other around, some of us have seizures, some of us can’t let go of the past, some of us have no hope for the future, some of us are involved in shit we can’t seem to pull ourselves out of.
It’s how you deal with that baggage that makes you who you are. If you wallow in self pity, you aren’t going anywhere. If you learn from it and want to better yourself, you will and you will come out so much fucking stronger.
Keep fighting, please, but for the love of god, don’t sit in self pity.
