There’s a fortnight to go!
Stress levels are high as we both work hard to create the best that we can for this competition, but so far we’re really happy with what we’ve got.
We can’t wait to share it!

COSPLAY GOAL 002.5 (2017)
Short Term Goals
For MNCC we want to push ourselves by creating something spectacular. And to do that we feel we need to learn how to make more compicated things that test our limits.
Because we’re lucky in having a large period of time between the competitions, we’re be doing a couple of quick and dirty cosplays that we wouldn’t normally consider, just as test runs to see what we can learn.
So! Look out for those coming in the future too.

Compete in (and win) MNCC Finals!
Now that our first goal has been completed, we’re super excited to continue on to the next round. It’s a long shot, but we’re going to give our all!
We’re so excited to meet the other teams and see the fabulous cosplays they create! (Seriously. If you listen closely you can probably hear us squealing in joy.)

UNLOCKED! COSPLAY GOAL 001 (2017)
We won the Hobart round for MNCC!
Teamski will be heading to Melbourne for Madfest to compete for the chance to represent Australia in the World Cosplay Summit.
We’re both so excited that we can barely express our love and thanks properly.
Proper photos of our outfits (which we can now say were Kefka and Terra from Final Fantasy VI) will go up just as soon as we get our feet back on solid ground. Maybe even a youtube link to our skit too!

Nervous to the extreme. This Farfarello cosplay was the first time I competed in an out of state cosplay competition, which turned out rather dismally, but that’s a story for another time.
There is so much I would do differently about this now that I know more (age and experience, woot!) but those flowerboy assassins and their psychic/psychotic nemesis’s hold such a special place in my heart that I’ll never be sad that I did this cosplay. ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

Due to the crud time I associate with that day, I never got the courage to get the HD copies of the photos I paid for and so can only share the watermarked version.
MNCC Nerves
Two weeks left and we’re both screaming in hyperactive glee and terror.

Awards: Best Overall Maicon 2013 I actually made this costume the year before, but woke up on the day of the convention very unwell, so I was quite upset. Anyway, I was able to wear it the year after and Win Best Overall for it :)
I need to get some better pictures of it, haha.

My friend and I were on the plane home from Japan and were discussing the anime convention coming up. I said I’d probably just do a silly outfit that year as I didn’t have much money (I’d spent it all in Japan).
Anyway, Jigglypuff was created, and on the day of the convention, I was so embarrassed by it that I nearly didn’t go in the competition (despite having pre-registered for it). My little sister was there with me and gave me the push that I needed to go in the competition. They had a little back room that joined onto the stage, and thats where I got ready before coming out when my name was called, as I could only stay in the costume for very short amounts of time.
As we walked out of the back room, (my sister held my hand as my vision is nearly zero inside that thing), we were met with a wall of sound of cheers and screams. I had no idea what was going on, so I was pretty much yelling at my sister “WHAT’S HAPPENING!?”. She told me to be quiet and keep walking.
Anyway, turns out the crowd loved the costume, as did the judges. I came first overall, and I won the fan favourite.I do love this costume ^-^

One day, long, long ago, my friend quietly admitted that she had been getting up early to watch Sailor Moon on TV. Just as quietly, another friend also admitted the same thing, staring at the floor. And then me, agreeing with wide eyes, “Yes, I watch it too. It’s amazing.”
Cue days with 8 hour long Sailor Moon marathons, a love for Beryl that will never be denied, and a steady decline into anime nerdom.
