two summers ago my boss suggested i take the summer off and i did. and then she held it against me for a year, and argued that i didn't deserve a bonus because of it, even thought it was her idea, and THEN. told me if i didn't work the summer last year, i wouldn't get a raise. and TODAY, she suggested that i take this summer off, and guilt tripped me about how many days i have off for school. and it would be nice to take the summer off but i also need money and the way she suggested it pissed me off, and i genuinely think if she makes me take the summer off, i'm not bothering to come back in the fall.
