He reached to pick up the phone and shot her a glance, grinning.

“You did mean request I’m sure, rather than trying to make rules in MY home? You know better by now, Catherine.”

Scoffing at his remark she too was interrupted from being able to respond by the smell of the pizza. Gazing down at the minion of Aku, Catherine gave them a wink before taking the biggest slice. 

Taking a small bite, she relished the long strings of cheese that pulled away from the pizza and gave a pleased hum.

“Perfect.”

Chewing as she considered his offer, she nodded her head.

“Sounds good. My earth is getting a tad boring when it comes to work… But what i really meant was that i’m looking around at new places to conquer. Now that i’ve said that, please don’t get all huffy with me. I know this place is off limits.”

He had to admit, she had good taste in pizza...

"Yes yes... as is yours... now while I don't mind entertaining you I'm afraid I am not going to help you expand your territory. I'm far less willing to share my conquests as I am my lunch."

Dissapearing from her spot on the ground, she was now atop his shoulder swinging her legs.

“Aaaand the occasional video game.”

“Simple pleasures… they’re fine enough as distractions but to say something like pizza is your true passion?”

He shook he head slightly before tilting his head so he’d still be able to see her from her chosen perch. It’s almost weird how used to her sitting on him he’s become by now…

“I’m disappointed in you. Here I thought you had some actual ambition…”

“Well i never said i had only one love. The other would be of course….”

Reaching out, Catherine stroked a hand along Aku’s jaw, her gaze sultry.

“Expanding my kingdom.”

Aaaaand there she goes again, teasing…

“Really? Because I would think with all the sitting around playing games and eating junk food the only thing expanding would be your waistline…”

Catherine gasped slightly, before turning away from him and puffing her cheeks out in a pouting manner.

“Rude.”

It’s was only moments before she peeked over at him and simply resumed her lounging.

“Well things are going slowly at the moment mostly due to the fact that I’m browsing the market.”

He let out a chuckle.

"Don't get mad at me, it is no fault of mine that you were not blessed with a form like mine or such precise control over your own body as my own."

Any further prodding he might have given her was interrupted by an underling bringing in their pizza. A quick exchange where the smaller demon received a few words of praise for not giving the delivery driver a tip before Aku held the box up for her to help herself.

"To your liking?"

He'd take a slice himself and set the box aside for the moment.

"And by browsing the market you mean having trouble finding work you mean? If you're getting bored I might be able to think of a few irritants you could take care of for me."

He had to cut short the laugh resulting from that very serious look of hers when the phone stopped ringing and he had to actually put in his order.

Once pizza was on its way and his attention back on her, he resumed where he'd left off as if he hadn't been interrupted at all.

"Well, I don't know why I'm surprised you'd take such a simple thing so very seriously..."
