Set of the day

Well today I wanted to broadcast a very standardised set but also discuss its strengths a little: Landorus@Life Orb Trait: Sheer Force Timid Nature 4/0/0/252/0/252 - Earth Power - Sludge Bomb - Psychic - Focus Blast This is one of the most straightforward additions to an OU team. If you've got a spare slot for a Pokemon, you lack speed other than a token Scarf user, and you really need more offensive presence, Landorus-Incarnate is perfect. Coming off a respectable base 115 Special Attack with base 101 speed just to piss off anything that hits the base 100 benchmark or lower, Landorus manages to then get stupid damage on his Earth Power, with Sheer Force combining with the Life Orb to 2HKO most of the non-Flying metagame.

Pokemon you never see!

Ok not Pokemon you never see competetively, but rather Pokemon that you don't see used very well, or often. One of these is Masquerain, which I see basically never. Last gen I decided to make an NU team around the guy, and basically it was a Double Screens/ Memento 'Voir, with a spinner in support, to aid Masquerain coming out into a severely weakened opponent behind screens and Quiver Dancing once or twice until at appropriate speed to sweep Masquerain@Lum Berry Trait: Intimidate Modest Nature 4/0/0/252/0/252 - Quiver Dance - Air Slash - Bug Buzz - Giga Drain I haven't really looked into how to use this set in a gen VI context, but I think I should look into it, perhaps with Vivillon, as getting Hurricane>Air Slash is a huge boost, and hopefully the little butterfly won't get banned from the NU tier any time soon.

To start my set-a-day on Tumblr, I wanted to show everyone the following: Beartic@Life Orb Trait: Swift Swim Adamant Nature 4/252/0/0/0/252 - Swords Dance - Stone Edge - Icicle Crash - Superpower This is a great wrecking Pokemon on Rain Teams,especially joined by setters like Ludicolo or Volbeat in the NU tier. Hopefully if someone follows, I'll start posting more descriptive sets. Until tomorrow~
