Let's make a movie series with all characters designs atrociously ugly and not at all similar to the designs from original games, retroactively implement that ugly design into nearly every single brand imaginary and then make a sequel to that movie that is thematically completely opposite to the first one. And then make a mascot of a franchise a married dad for some reason? Did they just copied despicable me because that franchise is somehow still racking cash?
Satirics are the jesters of modern world in a way that jesters routines were mostly ethnicity stereotype jokes about people "it was okay to pogrom" at their times and a bunch of general mean-spirited jests about somebody's appearance, and them they would either prank the guy king already dislikes and want to publicly mock, or they get bold and "insult the ruling power" by saying that king's wife is sleeping with someone else.
Watching an odd Simpsons episode can be chuckleworthy for me, yes like any media, especially American one it can be casually racist or chavenistic (like every "Simpsons go to x county" episodes) but the jokes from "classic" eta episodes can make me laugh.By contrast catching a glimpse of a Family guy feels like being tortured clocwork orange-style, when it's not trying to be as obnoxiously offensive as possible it's just painfully unfunny. It feels like the whole existence of Family guy is some post-ironic Goncharov bit, where every clip was created by racist tic-toc bloggers to put in their shorts, and them someone stiched it all together like those "play games from the ADs" apps do with deceptive mobile game adds. And i lnow that Simpsons oversaturated the "animated sitcom" genre at their prime, necessitating a response, but genuinely how did family guy even got made? Get continuations, spin-offs and many other shows that tried to emulate it while also being just extremely unfunny?
And South Park manages to beat it by being even more obnoxiously offensive, unfunny and just plain up ugly to watch. Like people decided that they wanted an extremely shittier version of already shit cartoon for some reason?

interesting how Wikipedia lists all "pro-goverment forces" on their top of the page summary of maidan, with the direct blue links and all that. Meanwhile the instigators are listed merely as "opposition groups" without any specifications on what parties, movements (let alone paramilitaries) were present even though they all have their own Wikipedia page that mentions their involvement.
Also a little environment storytelling, with the alpha group trident being nearly exactly the same as on the maidan flag.

Fnaf-style theorising has brought nothing but extremely obnoxious and easily aggravated people into every movie/video game/show fandom that becomes popular, and it was all fom nothing since FNAF plot never had anything worth theorising about. People would literally understood the plot of FNAF better if they simply applied the knowledge that Scott Cawton is a conservative boomer who previously made christian games, instead of rummaging through theory videos that tried to convince you that purple guy is a reanimated corpse of some dude named Mike you never heard about before.
Chapter 6 releases and suddenly people on r/deltarune would hop on the idea that making Ralsei do "feminine" things is obviously a parralel to Noelle on weird route and that the player is "forcing" archetypes on the characters for some nefarious purpose, therefore everyone calling Ralsei a girl earnestly is actually not engaging with the games narrative and lacks media literacy. Because deltarune is clearly about the fact that ANY choice player makes is inheritantly Evil (Remember the "if you play genocide route in undertale you are a bad person?") and therefore every consequence of players choice is a "bad outcome". To marry this someone brings up Susie as the character that defines the player-given choices and latch onto the fact that she calls Ralsei "Dude" as a proof of that

This is probably not the main catalyst for a theoretical action, and European politicians wanting to show their wholehearted support for banderit nationalists is nothing new, but the wording of "licensed platforms should be subjected to proper scrutiny" makes me wonder if it's another push for more brtish internet censorship they are peddling now? Not saying that they are going to implement another law through this specific situation, only that the narrative here can be read as another way to lander the internet censorship idea (which british government has already been doing for time) through "fighting russian propaganda" narrative

Helldivers was a big social experiment from Sweden humanities researchers, that tried to answer a question: "Can you make a sci-fi fandom that is more Hitlerite than Warhammer 40k?". Unfortunately, they were so preoccupied with the question "if they could" that they never bothered to ask the question "why should they?"
I feel that i need to correct my previous statement. Helldivers 2 was an experiment that tried to prove the "spontaneous genesis" theory of life because if you visit r/Helldivers you get the impression thst game playerbase consists entirely of spontaneously generated lifeforms that appeared out of breadcrumbs on your keyboard, which never experienced any video game aside from Helldivers 2
Really fascinated by the "read the banned books" concept us libraries are apparently doing because it's nearly always the books that aren't banned in the US, and even moreso it's always fucking Orwell. (I heard that he got some of his books banned at some point in usa history, it's doesn't matter because it's no longer the case and 1984 is in a school curriculum and it's so omnipresent in pop culture that it doesn't really matter. And all his other books are reiteration of the same). Doing the "banned books" earnestly kinda forces you to place shit like turners diaries there too, so maybe that's the reason
It's usually pretty obvious that they want to make it known that they oppose censorship in theory, but they won't actually do anything to oppose censorship in practice.
These displays should be full of gay books.
Well, sometimes there are gay books but it depends on which state and library they are doing it in and to truly oppose censorship they shoul be placing stuff that breaks the laws. I am not encouraging libraries to actually go and bite the bullet but the whole thing feels, for the lack of a better world, "performative". Or maybe it's just my knee-jerk reaction on Orwell in particular speaking.
