tumblr being an investor's worst nightmare and therefore not even attempting to seriously compete with any of the Big Social Media™️ platforms is actually the best possible scenario as far as i'm concerned. like i'm sorry but where else can i write incoherent self indulgent paragraphs of unfiltered jackshit for nobody but myself and a moderately sized audience of equally anonymous strangers, free from the constant pressure to produce and perform that you find when using most alternatives. no matter how bad this site's management gets i really honestly can't imagine ever wanting to leave. the day they finally take this old horse out back they're going to have to take me out with it.

you’ve heard of DARK academia get ready for DRAINED academia! the aesthetic is where you feel like you’re chained to your chair in front of your computer and can only bring yourself to mechanically listen to lectures. all joy of learning is sapped away because the material is now virtually impossible to absorb in this format. the anxiety from opening your class website is overwhelming, so you avoid it. often to your detriment.  you attend Zoom University.
