right before this happened i leaned over to my friend and said “i don’t think they’re gonna play headlights” because we all know that them playing something in the soundcheck only means significantly better odds, not a guarantee, and when régine got the keytar near the end of the show i figured they were about to play creature comfort

this would have been a bigger deal to me a few years ago but they played laika too and honestly i’m thankful for this experience and for the weird eight-soon-nine-year history and intense hate/love relationship i have with this stupid band

highlight of the show was when someone threw a towel at win's face from the other side of the stage and scored hero

the AF experience was fucking crazy mainly because it was a hundred thousand degrees in the venue and the sound was shit and we were thus constantly on the verge of dying

but it was worth it for the moment when i realised they were playing headlights look like diamonds in the soundcheck and rushed over to tell everyone and they were like NO WAY and came over and just intently listened by the door while getting frigging stars in their eyes and goosebumps one person at a time
