Look I’m gonna be so for real with you. When LotR came out, Gollum was fascinating. A brilliant interpretation.

But then, like, 500 million people started ~doing the voice~ and regrettably the character became tiresome, even irritating.

I mean, I’m sorry, unpopular opinion and fair enough if it’s only me, but was there no other character from the franchise who could carry a spinoff? Maybe the Silmarillion was on the table but got overlooked?

If you and your friends consistently joke about girlmath and girlmoney when you spend money on something unwise or irresponsible, it'll eventually just become a thing you say while spending money on something unwise or irresponsible. It'll stop being a joke.

Eventually, it might something you say to JUSTIFY spending money on something unwise or irresponsible. You're just a girl, you can't be expected to do anything more than girlmath, people shouldn't bug you about what you spend money on. If that happens, you'll have accepted the absurd logic that was supposed to make the joke funny as regular logic. On some level, you'll have accepted the idea that you are intellectually inferior due to your gender.

I had to look this up because “sleep while in flight” ????

but yeah, apparently completely true.  these birds stay aloft for as much as 10 months nonstop, feed on insects, spend more energy at night (when there aren’t warm thermals to ride) and at dawn and dusk climb to 10,000 ft altitude where the 30 min slow descent is probably when they catch their sleep.

they’re unusually long-lived for such active critters (20 yrs) and they may be limiting energy expenditure by being extremely aerodynamic and narrow bodied.  Also a single bird travels the distance of about 7 roundtrip journeys to the moon in its lifetime (>3 million miles).

I don’t know if Lindsey Graham was gay or not but hearing that said about him again made me think. For every person who is a “natural” (for lack of a better word) member of the LGBTQIA+ community but dedicates their life to distancing themself from that inner truth… I see a lifetime of lost opportunities. A partner who could have met you along the way and created a magical life together. A hero to others, to himself. A friend who wanted to be there to support and be supported.

I see a missed life replaced with one that was more dissatisfying the longer it was allowed to go on.
