I’ve been really active in a lot of Baldur’s Gate 3 groups as of late, and this is day 1,077 of me asking why Straight Men™️ hate Astarion with every fiber of their being… because trust me when I say it’s becoming a HUGE red flag. It’s not just a dislike for the character either, it’s a full on, visceral hate and becoming such a weird flex in the gaming communities.

First I wanted to say that I love your writing, I have been reading “Shake This Frost Off of My Bones” and holy hell it’s so good! I don’t think I’ve read any other stories where I can actually relate with the characters so much. I’ve just been really tied up right now because I’ve gone back to college, and the medical field is absolutely no joke. 😅 I actually have part of the next chapter written, but I haven’t been able to finish it yet because of all my school work. In the next few weeks the workload lightens because I’m going to be shadowing, and I’m hoping to be able to complete the chapter then.

Hey there!

Thank you so much for this comment. 💛 I’m glad you’re loving it! If you’re referring to it being reworked into an original novel instead of just a fanfic, it’s something I’ve been debating about quite a few of my stories for a long time now. I do plan on getting books published in the future, but I want them to be as close to perfect in my eyes as possible. Since the fics that I write are based off of continuation or canon divergence of already established universes, I would need to completely rework the “missing first piece” of the stories for them to make sense, and since I feel like the more I write, the more I grow as a writer, the stories have the potential to be even better.

But when/if I’m able to get something published, I’ll definitely share it with my readers, so it might be something for you to keep an eye out for!

Also, don’t fret if you’ve realized Tear You Apart hasn’t been updated in awhile. It’s not at all abandoned, but I lost some of the steam I had for it, and as I’ve been working on the next couple of chapters I don’t want to just send them out while they feel like something is missing because of the importance of where the story is right now. It would be the worst possible time to half ass a chapter. But I’ll hopefully be pleased enough with the next chapter to post it soon!
