This is definitely not a google drive full of the sleep stuff from the Headspace app, including sleepcasts, music, and wind down meditation, that normally costs 17.99 a month, no siree and you definitely shouldnt share this with people
my last post lost traction so i'm making a new one.... basically ive had to up my medication and my therapy sessions (from once a week to twice a week which. IS A LOT) + all of the other fun medical stuff on top of like. college bills and regular house stuff i'm literally suffocating lol<3 and since i'm autistic & it's very very hard to find accessible jobs around my area, taking commissions online is literally my main source of income at the moment.
SO, again, i am taking commissions (and you can find details about prices here and check out the resources i make here)
and if you don't wanna commission anything but would still like to help, this is my ko-fi and this is my paypal.me.
EDIT (22/03): I really need around $145 to get some important exams done that the insurance wont cover & not stay on negative so any commissions/help/boosts that help me reach this goal is extremely appreciated 💖 ty!
Ok so at this point I've had two people roll up to me in manual wheelchairs, well, one of them was somebody pushing somebody who was nonverbal at the time, but it still counts. They asked me why I had zip ties around my tires.
It's winter where I'm living and we have really bad snow. And the snow plow people are really bad at their jobs probably because there aren't snow plow people who clean sidewalks. As a solution I got to thinking about how I could increase the traction on my wheels. And the most redneck thing I could think of was taking a bunch of zip ties and tying them around my wheels. They last surprisingly long, and work surprisingly well. It's basically the same premise as chains for your tires during the winter.
I chose to space them out pretty evenly so there's about one for every spoke. You could probably do more or less depending on how many you want and how much traction you get but I wouldn't go more than three per spoke. I realize that it's a bit later in the winter, and I probably should have made a post about this sooner, but I came up with it about a week ago. So please share this, even if you're not disabled, because there are tons of people I know who are stuck in their houses because they can't get around in the snow. A pack of zip ties costs about $5, which compared to $200 knobby snow tires is a big save, and if you want to invest you could get colored zip ties.

Your wedding was something small by other royal comparison, but neither you nor Aemond seemed to mind; he was the one who wanted it much smaller, but the King was feeling festive. So, the whole of the court was invited - minus your family, which felt glaringly obvious.
You married in the Sept and hosted a banquet in the Red Keep's Great Hall. The King hummed along with the music, tapping his fingers in rhythm, before exhaustion set in and he was being escorted back to his rooms. The Queen departed soon after, and your new husband lead you away rapidly right after that. Behind you, there were a few inappropriate comments hurled your way; but Aemond was quick to shield you from them.
He moved his body as if to physically protect you from their vile words, an arm protectively around your waist to guide you forward; your first sign of his deep-running loyalty.
When you got to your new shared chambers, you found the room in disarray - gasping your shock and wondering if someone had ransacked his room. "Were you robbed?" You had asked.
"No," his cheeks flared, "I was trying to move things around, make room for you, but I realized I did not know what you would arrive with, so, it has come to... This..."
"So, what I'm hearing is that your room needs organized, huh?"
He smirked at you, "I'll order us some wine, but yes, if you'd like," he gestured you forward.
That perhaps was your second sign of his unwavering support of you.
The third was when, during your room-rearrangements, he promised to not share your bed, "unless you ask me to."
His hands also idly toyed with your own, the two of you facing one another; his fingertips tracing down the scar on the palm of your hand. He was quiet as he did, but you weren't bothered - he was usually always quiet.
Anyways, your marriage wasn't consummated that night, but you got to know Aemond on a much deeper level after proposing a drinking game where you each told three statements - two that were truthful, and one that was a lie. It made you both snicker gently and lounge on the bed together after the room was put in relative order.
He did not share your bed, as promised, for a full week after your wedding; but he spent time with you after his training sessions in the courtyard. Apparently, his mother thought it important you and he bond, so, Aemond was excused from afternoon lessons in favor of spending time with you. You both liked to stroll through the gardens, sometimes with a book shared between you both; other times, with an escort through the city streets.
But only eight days after your wedding, there was a rapid knock at your chamber door, and just as you rose from your vanity to answer it, your husband was entering. He swung around to shut the door and lean on it for a moment, making you smirk. "Well, hello there. Nice fo you to pop in, isn't it?"
"I'm sorry for the intrusion, my Lady," he sighed, shaking his head, "but Aegon was being his usual self and I needed to get away - then apparently he followed me and I didn't need him seeing me waiting..."
You nodded, "You know, you're allowed to stay here, too. I would not put you out."
"I do not wish to crowd you."
Your shoulders shrugged, "I think I'd like it, actually."
"Oh?" He breathed.
"Sure," You nodded in agreement. "I mean, we should get used to one another, should we not? I do not wish to put you out."
"Lady - "
"Please, stay?" You pouted dramatically. "C'mon, maybe I'll let you do my hair, huh?"
He chuckled and pushed off the door, glancing at the hand you outstretched. Aemond slowly reached for it, taking a moment to breathe before speaking softly, "I did not mean to interrupt you."
"You're not," You assured softly. "I was getting ready for bed, but between you and me, I'm kinda into this book right now."
"So, you're not tired?" He smirked slowly.
"I'm almost afraid to answer that," you eyed him up and down. "Why?"
"Perhaps you'd like to get dressed? We can sneak out," he sighed some. "Think I could use some air, thought perhaps a walk around the city would do us both some good?"
Your grin slowly stretched as you considered his offer. "All right, yeah. But we go in disguise."
"You think we'd walk around, bare?"
You shrugged and moved for the wardrobe. "I only mean to show you some places and it wouldn't be exactly proper if word reached the palace of our misdoings."
"I thought I was sneaking you out?"
"You are," You assured with a grin, "but perhaps I'll show you a thing or two while we're out."
"All right," he sighed, nodding softly and wiping his palms on his pants nervously. "Whatever gets us out of here."
"What did your brother say that upset you?" You asked, eyeing him slightly before moving for the changing screen. "C'moooon, I know you wanna tell me. I can see it on the tip of your tongue."
He chuckled some, "He's just tiresome."
"Noooo, really?" You mocked gently as you changed from your nightdress into something plain.
"We were at dinner..."
"Mhm."
"And he had choice comments about something that doesn't pertain to him in the slightest."
"Might I ask what that was, husband?"
There was silence as you laced the trousers on. "Our marriage," Aemond finally admitted.
"Hmm," you considered, situating the tunic. "And what was said? What were these choice comments?"
Aemond sighed heatedly, "Something - I don't even know. It was about how you won't let me near you, how this marriage is like all others and it's a farce, telling me to get used to you being absent - and that my one obligation is to put a babe in your belly, but it was the way in which he spoke that drove me up the fucking wall."
"Mhm."
"As if he even gets an opinion on this..." Aemond ranted as you stepped out from the screen, moving for the vanity again to wrap your hair up in a tangle of scarves. "As if his own marriage isn't some sham!"
"Is it?" You wondered gently.
"They were betrothed as children, Helaena's never known different but Aegon does as he pleases - no matter his marital status."
"So, your older brother doesn't respect you," you sighed gently, still fixing your hair to hide it. "But you know what's different now?"
"Hmm?"
"You've a wife who does," you turned to smirk at him, hands dropping to slap your thighs gently, "and Aegon can be jealous all he wants. It's not gonna be a concern of ours, we don't live the same truths."
He paused for a moment, nodding, "You're right..."
"But when you're feeling stressed," you offered your hand again with a grin, "your wife is here to sneak out with you for a bit of fun."
He chuckled and took your hand with his, "We'll need to stop at my room."
"Kinda hate that, but okay," you mused gently, letting him lead you from what was supposed to be your shared quarters. However, just as you were about to pass into his room, Amira rounded the distant corner, and your husband called for her.
"Could I ask for a discreet favor?" He asked, opening his door to lead you both inside.
"What is it, my Prince?" Amira asked, looking you up and down. "Oh, no, you're sneaking out, aren't you?"
You only shrugged with a broad smirk, making her sigh as your husband found his cloak. "Might you bring my things to our room?" He asked your hand maiden.
"Oh," she blinked, nodding, "yes, of course, my Prince. Um...?"
You smirked at her, "I didn't realize the lengths my husband went to to ensure my comfort, so, I've invited him back to our rooms."
"Oh, that is good to hear," she breathed, patting your shoulder. "All right, yes, I'll move your things, my Prince. Might I ask the reason for discretion?"
"Aegon's a dick," you shrugged, making Aemond say your name in reprimand. "What? Am I wrong?"
"Well, no - "
"So, that's the reason," you told Mira, "and we'd appreciate Aegon, you know, not knowing about this, so discretion is paramount."
"I gotcha," she winked, nodding with assurance. "I got this... Yeah, I got this... This is nothing..."
"Mira?"
"Hmm?"
"You got this?" You checked, Aemond tucking his hair beneath his hood.
"Oh, yeah, for sure," she sighed, waving you off. "Just be careful tonight, please. The city's changed, Princess, lots of crime has gone up in rate. Stay close to your Lord husband."
You chuckled, "Maybe I'll save his arse, you never know."
"You'll probably start a fight and he'll have to rescue you," she laughed you off. Aemond offered his hand silently, leading you to a hidden passage at the back of the room.
It was easy enough to sneak through the back passages of the Red Keep, and you quickly realized that this must've been common enough for Aemond - given how well he knew his way around. When you broke free of the Keep, you breathed deeply.
"All right?" Aemond checked, tightening his hand in yours.
"Mhm," you assured, needing to jog slightly to keep up with his long legs and quick pace. "Where to first, Princey?"
He chuckled dryly, leading you down around a few turns. "Perhaps a drink?"
"Hmm," you considered, peaking around alleyways.
"No?"
"I didn't say that," you chuckled. "But could we go this way?" You pointed.
"Why?"
"There's a few fun vendors this way," you smirked, leading him away. For the remainder of the night, you and Aemond crept around King's Landing - hopping around taverns, and you're pretty sure you didn't stop smiling once since leaving the Keep.
Aemond seemed different, too.
He was quiet, still. But he was relaxed, kept a hand on you at nearly all times. He chuckled when something was funny, smirked when someone made a fool of themselves, but mostly, he sat beside you all night. His legs straddled the benches to keep you close to his body, and you'd feel his idle touch as time passed.
Touches to your hand, waist, ribs, back, shoulders, and once even, he smoothed his hand over the back of your head in an affectionate gesture when you had made a particularly funny joke.
It was as if your warm touch reassured him.
So you did not mind, and in fact, found you reveled in it. It was your first real indication that his love language was primarily physical touch and while words did not come easy, his touch lingered.
And when you snuck back into the Keep, the ale you both consumed made your steps clumsy and for you both to snicker as you tried to shush each other. When you fell into your room together, you noticed Amira had, indeed, packed the Prince's things and moved them into your rooms.
It became a comfort that for each night the following five days, Aemond would read aloud from your book as you organized his belongings and clothes around the room. He liked pausing to consider the passage read, making the both of you bicker gently - even if he didn't have a varying opinion, he liked pushing you to see how far you'd go to make a point. You caught onto his game and didn't find it as annoying as when Jace or Luke did it.
Then came your first 'family' dinner that you'd attend at Aemond's side. He paced nervously by the window, watching the sun sink, and you perused your wardrobes for something to change into.
"You're nervous," you mentioned softly, laying a gown out to the bed.
"A bit," Aemond agreed.
"Is there reason, husband?"
He sighed, turning from the window with hands behind his back. "Father's not doing well..."
You nodded slowly, "He's been on a decline for quite some time now."
"And now it's enough for Mother to call for weekly family meals," he sighed, wiping a hand down his mouth.
"'S all right," you assured, "might be kinda nice."
"Nothing's really nice with Aegon around," he frowned, shaking his head to send some strands of gloriously long hair around his shoulders.
"Still mad about what he said?"
Aemond sighed, shrugging some. "In truth, I am unsure what I feel."
You nodded slowly, "That's alright. Family's a confusing matter."
"It is," he eyed what you had laid out for him.
"Yet, I must ask for your forgiveness," you smiled at him, stepping closer as he slowly turned to lower himself onto the bed. He reached for you, taking your hands to pull you between his wide-set legs.
"For what, my wife? I have not been wronged," he sighed, fiddling with your fingers.
"I have let you endure this alone the past two weeks," you spoke gently, slowly raising your hands to pet over his silver locks. "That's not what a wife does, hmm?"
He let his own hands raise to gently wrap around either of your wrists. His eye examined the one as his fingers caressed your skin, leaning in to gently press a kiss to the appendage. "It is of no trouble," he told you, "because you're here now, yes?"
You smiled at him, "Yes, I am here now. The support of a wife, something your brother does not know - should you need to use that to your defense."
He chuckled and tugged you so your hands went to his neck and his own settled heavily on your waist. "Something tells me with you there, wife, I will have little reason to defend myself."
You chuckled at him, giving his cheeks a quick squeeze, "Yes, yes, you get a wife and personal attack dog - aren't you lucky?"
"Terribly," he smirked, leaning forward slightly to rest his forehead against your stomach. He groaned, "Must we go?"
You chuckled and let your arms wrap around him in a hug, folding slightly to peck the top of his head. "Yes, we must. C'mon, it will not be for long."
He sighed, "Might I use you as an excuse?"
"Depends on the excuse used," you teased gently.
"Hm... What if I cited newlywed duties?" He picked himself up to stare up at you with a growing smirk.
"I think I'd kill over from embarrassment," you gasped, nudging his shoulder; making him grin at you. You found, each day, he loosened up - but always tensed up when others were around. When it was just you two, my Gods, he was entirely different; making you feel grateful that you could see him as such.
He sighed and let his hands settle back on your waist, "All right, maybe not. But, perhaps, I could say it to Aegon? Yes?"
You chuckled, hands caressing his jaw to force his eye to your own. "All right, yes, but do not let your Mother hear - please. Or Father. He's still my Grandsire and while I know he knows what happens in a marriage, he does not need be reminded."
"All right, deal," he agreed, sighing again.
"It will not be so bad, come now, we should change," you chuckled, gently pulling away from him. His hands fell from your body, and you instantly missed the warmth.
Though, after changing behind the screen, his hand was back in yours to lead you from the room. You swung your conjoined hands gently, smiling at him when he offered you a curious look. He ended up cracking a smile, unable to help it, but quickly sobered up when you arrived at the private dining room.
It was mostly just an outside terrace with a long table, but it made do for tonight's gathering. And with the fortunate weather, you were almost excited for the meal, if only for the location.
Aemond lead you both in stoically, and surprisingly, you were the last to arrived. Even Viserys beamed, teasing, "Well, this is a surprise."
"Apologies, Your Grace," you offered instantly. "We did not realize the time."
"No, no, no need, I was once newly married," he chuckled, waving you offer as both you and Aemond froze momentarily. You were quick to laugh at the King's joke, and with your hand to Aemond's arm, discreetly directed him towards the only two chairs left at the head of the table. Apparently, it became Aemond's common seating arrangement after the loss of his eye, but you didn't mind much.
Otto was in attendance, and Heleana greeted you happily; all but jumping from her seat when you neared her. You kissed her cheek in greeting, giving her a loving squeeze.
Aegon looked mildly annoyed but hid it behind his cups of wine, slouched in his seat; and making you ponder what seed he came from, since surely, it was not Royalty.
"Here," Aemond muttered to you, dishing something onto your plate. "You've gotta try this."
"It looks strange."
"Just a taste," he nodded, smirking at you. You sighed, eyeing the food with disinterest. "Come now, you mean to say you do not trust me?"
"Well, that's a loaded question."
He chuckled, "Let this be a test, then. Go on, just a taste. For me?"
"Well, way to guilt me," you teased him, nudging his arm before taking a taste from your fork. You pondered the feeling on your tongue, manicured hand over your lips as you chewed and considered the flavors. "It is... Strange."
"Is it?" Aemond smirked.
"I do not think I dislike it," you nodded at him, "though, I am unsure if I like it, either. Hang on," you moved for another bite, and before long, you'd finished the bit he'd spooned to your plate. "What was that?"
He chuckled, shaking his head slightly, "You told me on our wedding night you fancied those mangoes from Pentos, did you not?"
"I did," you nodded, narrowing your eyes at him at you glanced at the dish. "Do not tell me..."
"Apparently, stewed mangoes is popular over there," he shrugged a bit, glancing up to his family to ensure they were all still in their own conversation. They were.
"Would you do me a favor then?"
"Hmm?"
"Bit more?" You smirked, nudging your plate once. He chuckled and reached for the dish, dolloping another spoonful before you scooped a bit of rice to your plate and mixed them together.
"How's that?" He wondered in genuine curiosity when you tasted the new dish.
"You know what?" He nodded at you. "I don't hate it. Here, try it."
He nodded slowly and took up his own fork to try a bit, making your head cock in wonder as you waited for his opinion. "'S not terrible," he agreed with you, chuckling dryly before reaching for his goblet.
"So," Viserys boomed down the table, making you jump slightly. "How is married life treating you both?"
You smiled at the King, "You've raised your son well, Your Grace." Your eyes cut to Alicent, knowing she was who truly raised the children. "Married life is... Going well," you glanced at Aemond.
"Like a built-in companion," he mused to the table, taking a sip as Viserys chuckled.
"It is good to know you are getting along," he granted. "Surely, we'll see your face more often, Princess?"
"Of course, Your Grace," you agreed.
"Good," he nodded, smiling lightly.
"Unless my brother actually manages to get it up," Aegon snickered into his, oh, maybe, third cup in an hour? "Then, we'll never see you, will we, sister?"
"I'd mind my tongue, Aegon," you mused, taking another small bite of your meal. "Might start to sound jealous. Though, we know your brother has the injury and one less eye, you've always been jealous of him, heaven't you?"
"Aegon," Alicent warned when his face heated in anger.
Aemond chuckled a bit and let his hand drift to hang off the arm rest. You silently reached for his hand, finding relief when it fell naturally to your lap - turning over for you to hold. The other hand rose his goblet again.
"Do you think you'd like to take lunch sometime this week?" Heleana asked you, leaning over. "I've some questions of my own," her voice lowered to explain.
"Sure," you agreed easily, nodding at her with a smile.
Aegon rolled his eyes, "Oh, what questions could she answer? She's been married all of two weeks."
"I wouldn't take that tone, brother," Aemond warned.
"Boys," their Mother snapped. "Not now."
"Not ever, hopefully," You offered a sweet smile with your words.
"I'm not quite sure how it was done in your Strong Family," Aegon sneered, sitting up in his chair, "but here, we - "
"If your only means is to insult a silly rumor pertaining to my family, then, I'm afraid you might want to silence yourself," you chuckled, staring your uncle down with anger burning your gut. "You are only making my point for me."
"Please," Alicent asked of the whole table, "can we not get along for a single meal?"
Your hand tightened in Aemond's, asking him, "Surely, this is not common?"
"What, sweetheart?"
You paused at the use of the nickname, finding you enjoyed it more than you should - before finding your voice again, "Your brother thinking it is appropriate to speak in such a manner?"
He smirked at your tactic to publicly embarrass his brother, nodding at you, "You will grow used to it, sweetheart, I promise."
"Hmm," you mused, leaning into his arm more as his hand released yours in favor of holding your inner thigh instead.
"So," Otto cleared his throat, "how're you finding the city, Princess?"
"Very well, yes, thank you," you assured with a nod of your head. "Aemond and I might've gone out almost everyday this past week."
"The weather held," he shrugged a bit, cheeks heating at the knowledge that his family knew he was soft on you. It was obvious, if the time together was any indication.
"It was nice," you assured, one hand holding his forearm and giving a squeeze. "I'll have to take you sailing some time."
"You know how?" Otto asked in surprise.
"Yes, my father and his father took me out," you smiled softly. "Taught me how to fish, too, if you'd believe it. Never thought I'd live long enough to watch Corlys Velaryon fish for his own meal. But I must admit, it was incredibly satisfying. Father and I caught this sort of tuna," you told Otto - who was staring at you with the slightest amount of pity, "it must've weighed some 80 pounds." You chuckled at the memory, sniffling lightly, "Father and I nearly fell in trying to wrangle that bad boy from the waters."
It was quiet for a moment before Aemond cleared his throat, lowering his voice, "We did not yet find the time to extend our condolences for your father, my wife. And how sorry we all are for your loss."
"Mother got your letter," you nodded softly. "But thank you for verbalizing it."
With a returning nod, your husband tried to focus on his meal; but before you could, his sister was starting a new conversation. He was quiet most of the remaining meal, just content to listen; and any time Aegon got lippy, even Alicent started to sit back - because your wit outmatched all of their own. You easily fended the boy off.
Heleana simply adored you, and let that be known.
Viserys was oozing pride, as if taking personal responsibility in the match made between you.
Alicent smiled and actually asked a few questions to better know you.
Otto was just as ever - kindly, old, and soft spoken. He also knew some really good riddles that you liked to try and work out - his grandchildren giving up on most of them. Imagine your surprise when you asked, "Is it a mountain?"
And Otto beamed, "Yes! Dear girl, yes! I've been telling that riddle for months and none has solved it!"
It was an overall nice dinner, but truly, by the end, you were exhausted from keeping appearances. There were a few times you wanted to snap at your brother-by-law, but held your tongue; doing little to hide the irritation in your tone when you shut him down.
When Viserys was taken away for bed, Otto escorted Alicent away, and to your surprise, Aemond ushered you to your feet, "C'mon, come with me."
You let him pull you by your hand, jogging again to keep up with his long strides. When you were out of the dining room, you looked around and wondered, "Why're we in a rush to get to bed?"
He chuckled, shaking his head, "Got something on my mind."
"Wanna share?"
"In our rooms," he nodded, glancing at you only as he kept his quick pace - ignoring your whine of annoyance. The moment the doors opened, he pulled you in and shut them after you - pushing your body against the wood as his nose pressed into your neck.
"Aemond," you gasped in shock, holding onto his shoulders; not pushing him away.
"I-I wanted to let you come to me," he rushed, hands bruising your hips. "Yet I do not think I can wait longer."
"What changed?" You smirked, petting over his cheeks as he nuzzled your neck. You wanted to feel his mouth, but he did not dare yet - showing an ounce of restraint.
"Dinner," he sighed, sounding as if he was straining. "Watching you with them all, Gods... I know I am not who you wanted, but I think I need to start giving thanks for having a wife who can keep up."
"That got you going, did it?" You smirked against the shell of his ear; hands petting down his neck. His hands tightened and your hips rose up the wall to let his growing bulge press into you. Your breathing stuttered as his head lifted to leer over yours, your fingertip ghosting over his bottom lip.
"In truth, it's been hard to give you space," he breathed, "but yes, my wife, seeing you with my family was enough for me. You showed no fear in talking to the King and Queen..."
"Hmm?"
His lips pulled in a smirk, hands moving up to hold the base of your ribs. "It was impressive," he whispered, "and listening to you put Aegon in his place? Lady wife," he chuckled, slowly letting a leg raise to press between your thighs, "that did something to me I cannot explain nor control."
"Power turns you on, does it?" You chuckled.
"Only a bit," he nodded, "now," his thigh pressed more securely, "might I kiss you, Lady wife? Or might you haunt me further?"
You chuckled, but he clocked your nod before surging forward to connect your lips in a searing kiss. You let out a shrill whine when his hands drove you down onto him, his bulge more prominent.
"Aemond."
"Tell me, sweet girl," he spoke in your ear, letting his tongue flatten against skin that made you moan, "what it is you want."
But worry knotted your stomach.
"Wait, wait," you pulled back as much as you could, but pushed his shoulders some; making him pull away.
"What's wrong?"
"It's just," you sighed, head thumping back to the door in exasperation. You sighed through your nose.
"You can tell me," he nodded, lowering his leg to give you room to breath. His thumbs started to swirl comforting circles around your hip bones. "You want me to trust you, but it goes both ways, pretty girl. Speak your mind."
"Well, for one, in truth, I think I prefer being called pet names rather than the name my mother gave me," you chuckled some, hands drifting down his chest.
"Noted," he nodded, leaning in to rest his forehead on your own. "Come - tell me what bothers you."
"I've not done this," you whispered. "I worry it will not be satisfying."
"With the way I've been ramped up the past two weeks, there is little you can do to dissatisfy me," he chuckled. "Though, might I tell you a secret?"
"Mhm."
"Think you got me started the day you saved my life," he whispered, "and I never even thanked you for it."
"We share blood, Aemond, I would not have walked away. You needed help, and I knew how to give it."
"Thank you," he nodded, sighing. "I never got to thank you for what you did, but I am grateful."
"'Twas a dramatic night, there was little room for anything else."
He hummed before telling you, "Look, you do not need to worry, this is another learning experience for us to endure together."
"Oh, you must 'endure' laying with me?" You whined, heat flaring up your chest and neck.
"I did not mean that," he relented softly. "Only that I am no expert, either, but this is something between us - something we will learn to do together. As husband and wife."
You sighed, nodding, "Just be patient."
"I know it does not mean much now," he let his lips peck over yours, "but this is between us, sweet girl. You can do no wrong with me."
You sighed, "You say that, yet..."
"Yet?"
"I do not know of a single marriage where either, nor both, were ever happy. I fear that this could be a partnership, but not much else. I understand you've an obligation to sire children, but I am only nervous - "
"You do not need to be," he sighed softly. "It's just me."
You nodded, brows crinkling gently. "It's just you..."
"Your husband."
You nodded, "My blood."
"I am not here to wrong you, nor harm you," he promised. "And while I agree, I do not know of a marriage myself that has been... Happy... I do know that marriages are between spouses, and we get to not just make our own rules, but play by them, as well."
You sighed gently. "How you've been without a Lady all this time is beyond me. You might be the sweetest man I know, and my father was Laenor Velaryon."
He smirked against your lips, letting you gently pull his cheeks to kiss him to time. "None ever bothered to try and know me," he whispered. "You are different, pet, and you always have been."
"You are different with me," you noted, nose rubbing up his. "Why is that?"
He sighed, "You... Provide me with a sense of safety, I think. It is difficult to explain - "
"'S not," you smiled at him, "because I understand perfectly well. I fear I might feel much of the same, as well."
"Hmm," he considered, "that is good. I would hope my wife feels safe with me."
"I do," you nodded in assurance. "That if you'd like to move for the bed, I would not disagree..."
"Are you sure?" He asked, frowning.
"If you're willing to take this slow?"
He chuckled, "As slow as I can bare."
You laughed against his lips, leaning in to trap him in another kiss. "I have to admit..." You pulled back to peck his lips, "You're mildly addicting to kiss."
He grinned, licking over your lips slowly. "Might find more than my kisses addicting,"
"Oh?" You laughed, holding onto his neck tightly as his own arms snaked around your waist to hold you against him. He sighed, nuzzling into your neck as a hand pet down the back of your head before settling around you. "All right?" You whispered.
"Mhm," he hummed, "just appreciating the feel."
You smiled against his temple, laying a kiss there as the mood in the room shifted; and his hands bore the weight of the world. "Aemond?"
"Hmm?"
"Would you show me all of you?"
You felt him pause against you, but his sigh was sad, "Not tonight."
"But would you?"
He nodded as he pulled back; leaving your cheeks brushing against one another. "One day," he sighed, making your heart plummet in sadness. The abuse the boy endured was more than you were willing to admit, but you'd try to understand it best you could and offer him comfort. "For now, let me see you," he whispered in your ear, the fire crackling behind you both as the room flickered and glowed in the light. You did not protest when his hands rose to undo the laces at your back; pulling apart to loosen your gown.
You feared he would not like what he found, but your resolve was crumbling as his mouth opened against your neck. You moaned faintly as his hands easily yanked behind you, freeing more of your flesh for him to grab at.
He pulled back first but you could not meet his eye. His fingers tipped your chin up to let your eyes meet, breathing one breath as his lilac gaze raked you in.
"You're absolutely stunning," he whispered, holding your gaze, and making you feel like he was staring through you. But his eye did not drop from your own as his hands pulled at your dress, freeing your shoulders and upper body.
Your lungs shuddered in nerves as you helped pull the garment down, freeing your breasts, and then down to your hips. His hands moved, his eye did not; only bowing to his knees to hug your waist, looking to the floor, and pulling the clothing from your hips.
Your hands shot back to hold your position against the wall; keeping balance as Aemond freed your legs of shoes, stockings, then your hips of any under garment. But he kept his gaze on the ground as he rose, letting your hands mimic his from earlier, and tip his chin so his eyes met your own.
"See me," you requested in a breath; holding it then as his eye soaked in all you were.
"Gods," he breathed, taking half a step back to get the full image. When his eye met yours, it was almost as if he could not stop the words from flooding out, "You're breathtaking."
"We are married, you do not need to compliment me," you teased gently, leaning back to the wall. "Do you need a moment?"
"I might," he mused. "You're incredible... And you're truly mine?"
"That's what the law now says," you teased. "You know, standing here, naked, 's bit cold."
"You don't say?" He chuckled, reaching a hand out to sweep his thumb over your pebbled nipple. But that was it - that was all he did. "Come, lay on the bed, pet."
He turned from you to give you space, bare feet muted over the bare stone as you moved on the balls of your feet. Look - standing in the nude was one thing, but sitting in the nude? That was something entirely, and you reached for a pillow to hold against yourself the moment you reached the mattress - and climbed upon it.
Aemond turned from the window to look you over, then started to undo his jerkin. "You've never been with a man?"
"Never even kissed one till we got married," you admitted.
"So... You're all mine, is it?"
"Seems so," you chuckled. "Though, I am afraid to ask in return."
His head cocked, wincing, "Lost my virginity at ten and three."
"Truly? To whom?"
He freed his upper half of the leather jerkin, revealing a thin tunic. "A whore, no less."
You hummed in thought, watching him undress without abash. "That was it?"
"If you'd believe it," he pulled the tunic off his torso.
"And how is it you've come by scars when there is no war?" You asked, letting the pillow fall to the side in favor for drawing a single leg up and into your chest.
"Same way I came to lose an eye, pet," he sighed, now avoiding your gaze. "Though accidents - no matter how unfortunate."
Your heart weighed to your feet, slowly finding them as your fingers nervously twisted together. He was distracting himself with pouring a goblet of wine, but stiffly turned when your hands deftly asked him to. They smoothed over rigid, pink-going-on-white scars, asking, "Where did this one come from?"
He glanced at your hand on his upper arm. "That was a lancing accident gone wrong."
"Hmm," you nodded. "And this?"
Your fingertips pressed to his pectoral. "Swordplay with Aegon... Gone wrong."
You smirked, "And this one?"
He breathed uneasily as your hand pushed at the scar on his lower belly. "Hmm... That was from a spoiled organ."
"Come again?"
He smirked as your hands rimmed the hem of his pants. "When I was, possibly, oh, maybe ten and five? There is a little organ that, if ruptured, can ooze toxic waste back into the body. Maesters were quick to remove it."
"How interesting," you spoke softly, watching his throat bob as he took a drink. "And this one?" Your lips asked, nearing his ear.
"Which?" But he flinched with a laugh when you bit his neck. It wasn't hard enough to break skin, but against his pale skin, it was enough to leave a small red mark. "Oh, you devil of a woman," he chuckled, letting an arm wrap around your bare waist.
"Apologies, dear husband," you smirked, reaching your arms around his neck to allow your breasts to press into his chest without barrier.
"Perhaps I can be persuaded into forgiving you," he hushed against your lips, licking over them before trapping you in a kiss so searing, it pulled a moan from your throat.
"Just ask it of me," you whispered to him, daringly letting your hands drift when he pulled you in for another kiss; fondling his growing length over his trousers.
He hissed lightly into your mouth, muttering, "Perhaps this will be new for us both, after all... Gods."
You smirked against his mouth, feeling emboldened to now sweep your tongue over his lips and into his mouth; hand solidifying around his neck to keep tight. He blindly set his wine to the table beside him to then press both hands into your warming flesh under your rib cage. His hands pushed, and you were lead back towards the bed; where you were sat on the edge for your husband to gaze down at. His hand cupped your jaw, gently caressing your cheek; yanking the laces of his trousers at the same time.
"Let me," you whispered, mostly curious - reaching for his breeches, and keeping eye contact as you unlaced him.
You fist the material by his hips and yanked down, still staring up at him - even when his cock sprang free to gently bob in your face.
"Fuck," he seethed, reaching to pull your hair back. "Might I teach you something first?" When you nodded, he almost grunted, "You can use your mouth."
Your brows furrowed, "On your cock?"
Aemond let himself chuckle, "Yes, sweet girl. But not your teeth..."
"I think I could've figured that one out, Aemond, Gods!" He laughed with you, but sharply inhaled when your hand reached for his thick member; giving a few curious strokes. "I can ask you something?"
"With my cock in your hand, you can ask me anything," he breathed in tune to your pumping hand, twisting wrist. "What is it, pretty girl?"
Your breath fanned across his public hair, head tilted to gaze up at him and wonder, "It... Will fit?"
He snickered, "Yes, sweet girl."
You nodded, "And are they all... This size... A-And girth?"
"Perhaps not, but I'm not running around, whipping my cock out to compare it to others,"
"Pity," you pouted at him, seeing his teeth flash in amusement, and lean in to take a tentative lick. His hand tightened in your hair and you understood what he meant; slowly, surely, and very sloppily, figuring it out. What your mouth didn't fit, your hand twisted around; and Aemond's knees were slowly buckling.
"Slowly, slowly," he whispered to you, thumb sweeping a tear from your cheek when you tried to take more of him. "That's my girl, good fucking girl," you preened at his praise. "Easy, don't over do it - that's it, good girl. Use you spit - fucking Gods, that's right - there - wait, wait, less teeth, sweet girl - slow yourself."
You listened to him as you went, feeling sweat start to slowly streak down your skin as heat sweltered in the room; skin at the base of his cock turning salty from his own exertion.
"All right," Aemond hissed, nodding to himself as he took hold of your cheeks and pulled his cock from your mouth; leaving a trail of saliva. "Seven fuckin' Hells, girl, I told you I'm not fucking anyone else, you're not in competition here."
You grinned up at him, rolling your eyes right after as you understood his teasing tone. "C'mere, please," you whispered up at him, hands curling around his neck to thread into his hair when he loomed over you. Your lips met in a frenzied mess again before one of his hands held his balance and the other pushed your knees apart.
"Easy," he whispered against you, tracing slow patterns up your inner thighs. "This is where trust comes in, sweet girl. I've got you."
"Yeah?" You nervously checked, nodding at him; hands holding onto him as if a lifeline.
He sighed softly, "I'll always have you, sweet girl. Today, and everyday."
You pet down his chest and tried to relax as his lips met yours again in a frantic mess of lips, tongues, and teeth. His fingers then were dusting up your crotch, and you all but flinched as a jolt of pleasuring electricity shot through your veins.
"Aemond," you breathed as one hand darted out to wrap around his bicep; fingers sweeping up and down your wetted heat. "Gods," you squeaked when he pushed to let his face rest against your neck; arms tight around his neck for anchoring, letting a finger sink deep into you. Your legs opened wider to accept him.
"Good girl," he growled, your hand feeling his arm flex as he started to pump his finger messily through your sopping folds. "So fucking wet for me, Gods. I heard rumor virgins were wetter, but fucking hell."
"Or perhaps it's just for you," you whispered in his ear, holding on tighter as a coil slowly tightened in your lower belly. Almost on instinct, your hips moved to hump into his hand.
"Hmm," Aemond considered, "say that again, but without the perhaps."
You chuckled, pausing for a moment before telling him in his ear, "'M just so fucking wet for you, and only you, my Prince."
"Gods," he groaned, pulling his hand free to straighten up. "On the pillows, love, go on." But you paused to beam obnoxiously at him. "What? What is it?"
"You called me 'love'."
He chuckled against you, leaning in to kiss you happily. "Got issue with that, Lady wife?"
"You will not hear complaint from me, Lord husband," you assured.
"Good - back on the pillows, then." When you pulled yourself back over the bed, he was quick to follow overtop of you; pressing another kiss to your lips as he settled between your legs. "I will warn you, there might be some complaint the first few minutes."
"Oh," you nodded, "yes, I-I was warned of that. And it is common for there to be a bit of blood, too."
"Good to know," he smirked, pecking your lips. "You need only tell me if it's too painful, but it will be before the pleasure takes over. But if it's too much, just tell me."
You nodded and pet over his cheek, promising, "I will."
He smirked, "Spread your legs, pretty wife."
You both paused, shaking your heads at one another, and you deciding, "'Pretty girl' is a solid option, 'pretty wife' sounds strange to my ears."
"Strange on my tongue, too," he agreed. "Pretty girl, it is."
You hummed in agreement, bringing his lips to yours as he helped shift your hips slightly. Then, his cock's head was sweeping up and down your slick - like his fingers had - and just paused to linger at your entrance.
"Hold onto me," he whispered, slowly pushing in - and feeling you instantly freeze.
"Fuck's sake," you wheezed as he went.
"Do you want me to stop?"
"There's more!?"
Aemond was unable to fight off his laughter, leaning down to push his tongue into your mouth before pressing forward the rest of the way - pressing his hips to yours in full.
"Fucking hell," you whispered against him. "Oh, wow, okay, okay..."
"All right?"
"I don't know," you admitted. "Feels very strange."
He nodded, leaning in to kiss you softly. "Tell me when it's okay to move. This will be uncomfortable until you're acquainted, and then it'll feel better - I swear it."
You nodded, "Go ahead."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah," you whispered, moaning when his tongue swept into your mouth again. "Holy shit - Gods be good," you whined when he began to retract his hips and push forward again; the friction created something mouthwatering.
"Fuck," Aemond panted, humping a little faster. "Ah, shit, you feel fucking divine, sweet girl. Fuckin' made for me."
You readjusted your hips again and let him work at a new angle. His mouth hung open for a few thrusts, eye fluttering close as your hands gripped anywhere they could reach. And with his motions, you started moving your own hips; fucking him back, to his approving groan. His mouth found purchase against your neck, biting, sucking, licking; humming into flesh as pleasure coursed.
"Aemond, fuck, fuck, fuck, harder," you pleaded, letting your knees reach your chest as his hands pushed the backs of your thighs in a new, bruising grip. His balls slapped against the apex of your cunt, creating something of a rhythm amongst the room that met the chorus of your moans, groans, and his grunts.
"Take it," he growled, hands sliding up to hold the back of your knees. His hips were relentless. "Oh, fuck, good girl - 's my good fuckin' girl. Feel so fuckin' good, taking all of me your first time," he smirked down at you, reaching a hand for your throat when he felt your walls tightening as his cockhead pounded into that soft, spongey spot.
You whined against the pressure on your throat - not enough to constrict but enough to feel all the way down into your toes.
"Gods," he groaned when your velveteen walls stroked him for all he was worth, "look at you, so fuckin' ready for me."
"Yes," you whimpered, reaching for his neck to yank him closer. "Please, please - "
"Tell your husband what you need, Princess," he smirked, dropping his lips to stick to yours - and pull apart messily.
You whined lowly in your throat, "Wanna cum."
"Where?"
Your hands shook as you held his cheeks in your grip, "Around you."
"That's my girl," he purred, moving himself at a renewed pace. "Where do you want me, pet?"
"In me," you didn't even realize you moaned that aloud until he groaned from deep in his chest; brows furrowed, and one hand holding himself up as the other dropped to your cunt. "Wait, wait, wait - "
"That's the feeling, my girl," he promised, fingering your pearl. "Chase it, let it come for you - let it come, good girl," he praised, catching your body when you arched into him and came with a soft cry.
"Ae-Aemond," you begged still, eager to please. His hands held your hips in place, face held to your neck; hips pumping relentlessly to chase his own end now. "Please - oh, fuck!"
He came with a shout of his own, hips swooping to thrust into yours once, twice, a third time, then grinding to a slow halt as his balls contracted to release his load in your warmth.
"Shit," he panted, body giving up some to collapse into your own. It pushed his cock further up, making your mouth open in shock; arms coiled around him to keep him against you.
"Yeah," you agreed, letting a hand smooth down his hair. His breath fanned across your collarbones, and readjusted your hold on him to press a kiss to his forehead. "All right?"
"Yeah, yeah, good," he chuckled, pecking his lips up your neck. "Are you all right?"
"Mhm," you nodded at him, noses brushing together before his lips met yours - again - slowly. "So, that's what we've been avoiding?"
He smirked, "Well, you've been avoiding, Lady, and I've been dreaming."
"How'd it match up in life?"
Your husband offered a soft smile, "'S like you're a dream come into my arms. If there is a heaven, I think I've found it."
"Oh, please - "
"No, truly, Lady," he nodded, letting his lips peck yours again. "Here, with you, I am at peace."
"Then make a bargain with me?"
"Cock's still in you, so, ask anything of me - 's yours."
You giggled lightly and rolled your eyes as he fixed himself up to his elbows to keep the pressure off your chest. "Spend some time alone with me in the next few days?"
"Lady - "
"No, I mean, let us take a period of time away from everything and just," you shrugged a bit.
"Hump?"
Your eyes rolled, "I was aiming for something a little more poetic, but sure, yes, yes, stay with me and fuck me properly."
"My Lady wife," he teased, "I did not think you so brash."
"You've not been paying attention," you teased. "Please?"
He chuckled through his nose, nodding as he shifted himself towards your side - huffing a bit when his cock pulled free of your warmth. "Whatever it is you want in this life, wife, I'll give to you," he decided as he crashed to the bed beside you, offering an open arm for you to curl against his chest.
"You sound smitten, Prince," you accused gently, nestling into your new home - at his side.
"Perhaps I am, Princess," he told you, eye taking in your entirety. "Perhaps you have me enraptured, and I am unwilling to leave your clutches."
You hummed and let your lips press to his, slowly increasing the tempo as your own libido felt newly heightened. How strange, the moment you lost your virginity, you suddenly crave the action of another warm body - or perhaps, you craved the body of your husband.
None the less, Aemond let loose the faintest of moans; hand coming up to hold the back of your head, mouths moving in sync.
When you pulled back, it was only just to mutter, "Perhaps the feeling is mutual."
"Good," he whispered, licking into your mouth again. He hummed and pressed one last hardened kiss to your mouth, then pulled back. "Give me time to nap and I will spend days worshipping you. Yes?"
"Deal," you agreed against his swollen lips, breathing stuttering when your teeth caught his bottom lip and pulled.
"Devil woman," he whispered, hand wrapping around your throat. "Behave."
"You're not making the point you think," you whispered.
"My girl likes my hand at her throat?"
"Only in this sort of position," you smirked, lips catching his own again to tangle together in a frenzied dance of passion and newly found, newly formed love.

Summary: Learning about Aemond’s indiscretions hurts more than you thought it would, and leads you to accepting help from an unlikely source.
Warnings: gaslighting and manipulation on Aemond’s part, reader being slightly naive :(
A/N: I love rewatching certain eps or scenes for inspo. I got inspo for this watching the iconic knife scene. Very interested lately in writing women that eventually (and rightfully) snap after being actively harmed by patriarchy/the men in their lives. Also alys and aemond meet after the dance starts but let’s pretend they meet right before viserys passes. This will have a slightly ambiguous ending… for funsies 🫶🏽

You consider yourself a forbearing person. Your resigned nature was natural to you, but also the way you’ve been bred to be. Your mother especially preaching that good things come to those who not only wait but keep their heads while waiting. This idea only got compounded once your family arrived at court in King’s Landing. Now you had septas, on top of your mother, teaching you the ways of a ‘proper’ lady. Demure, well read and groomed, and obedient. You did was expected because what else could you do. Your parents were in your ear telling you do not waste the opportunity in front of you. An opportunity for a better life.
For a time, you thought your mother had a point. You did as you were told, and good things fell into place. Princess Helaena and you became fast friends through your lessons. Your interest in plants crossing over with her interest in insects and arachnids. Through your friendship with her, you caught the eye of Queen Alicent.
Despite your shy disposition, you managed to get in the good graces of the most powerful family in the Seven Kingdoms. You trusted the process.
But the cracks in the restrictive facade started once the discussion marriage entered the picture. You knew marrying for love was not something everyone was afforded, but you thought maybe you had a chance. There were tries for courtships here and there, but it was something you kept putting off. The clock was ticking, and no one let you forget it. Especially after your friends, including Helaena, started getting married and having families of their own.
You still remember the thrilled smile on your mother’s face when Queen Alicent not so subtly suggested a union between Prince Aemond and you.
The One-Eyed Prince. He had been nice enough towards you. But you were sure most of that was out of sheer obligation because his mother and sister liked you. Despite the love you have for Helaena and the respect you have for the queen, the idea of marrying into the family terrified you. You saw the burden and hurt each of them carried. Even with the possibility that Aemond wasn’t as bad as Prince Aegon or King Viserys, his brooding nature still made you nervous for what a marriage with him would mean.
“Your work has paid off my sweet girl”
It took a simple sentence from your mother to change your mind. The ever growing need to be validated spurred you into a decision you’d later question.
The courtship was quick and to the point, much like Aemond. He wasn’t thrilled with the decision. Then again, happiness was not an emotion you’d seen him exude very often. You did not know what it looked like.
Throughout the courting, wedding celebrations, wedding itself and after, you two had a mutual understanding or so you thought.
You saw the change in him. When you’re all but forced to spend your days with someone, you notice their behavior more. He’s lighter it seems. You don’t know how to explain it, but he moves different.
The only feeling you can compare it to is when you were pregnant with Daella, your daughter. For all his faults, you can acknowledge that Aemond is a good father. He was from the moment the maester told you two the news. He was attentive and uncharacteristically warm to you during your pregnancy. And then he acted as if a weight was lifted off his shoulders when she was born. Even now, he indulges her rambunctious antics and playful conduct in a way he wouldn’t for anyone else. His previous byka zaldrīzes
His devotion never wanes when it comes to her. It was a different story for you and him.
It was foolish, but so typical of you. You had done your duty so well that you’re now in the position of having genuine feelings for him. Wanting your husband shouldn’t be a problem. But craving the love and affection of an enigma like Aemond is not for the faint hearted.
“Is my brother with his whore tonight,” his words were cruel, but he genuinely seemed curious. Aegon and you always had a strange relationship. He wasn’t rude though certainly not kind. You remember overhearing the way he described you after you two first met: pretty but terribly dull. You didn’t know what hurt worse: him saying that or the lack of pushback from Aemond.
“Aegon!”
Alicent gives you a pained look before pulling Aegon to side during dinner. You can tell by her scowl and his now sheepish facial expression that she’s using some choice words.
You thank the seven that Daella was asleep after a long day of playing with her cousins and wasn’t at dinner. The empty spot next to you feels vast. This is the third dinner he has missed. It never occurred to you that Aemond would seek companionship elsewhere. Now that it’s on your mind, you can’t forget it.
His whore
Aemond and Aegon are not the same. You know Aemond is not the type for frivolous intimate moments with silk street brothel women. You also know the intimacy he seeks requires knowing someone. He requires way more stimulation. Whether that is a blessing or a curse… you don’t know.
Aegon’s comment had you on high alert. Paranoid even. When Aemond is away, you wonder what he’s doing and who with. It only gets worse the sicker King Viserys grows. It shows on everyone in the family. Queen Alicent gets more anxious for what’s to come, Aegon lashes out, Helaena becomes more cryptic and silent, you wonder how this will impact your already complex relationship with this family, but then there’s Aemond. He shrugs off any ill feelings towards the situation.
At first you wondered if it is because he’s the only one that’s made peace with that relationship never being mended. He didn’t seem to seek out the same approval or explanation for Viserys’ bad parenting that everyone else still craves. With the King dying, meant the chance of change dying as well. But really his mind is elsewhere.
You know you’ve reached a new low when you try to pry information from Ser Criston. If anyone knows where Aemond sneaks off to, you assume it would be Criston. But in the end, it was wrong to go to him. Criston is fiercely loyal to Alicent and in turn fiercely loyal to her children. Though he has treated you kindly, he would never give up more information than he had to.
The idea greatly backfires when then you find yourself the one being questioned.
“If you want to know where I go, you could simply ask,” Aemond’s tone is cool and composed. It makes you uneasy.
He leans leisurely against the wall. You freeze hearing that declaration. Criston must’ve told him about your worries. It feels a bit surreal now having the opportunity to confront him about your thoughts. The words run through your head but never seem to make it out of your mouth.
“You know I like going for long rides with Vhagar,” he starts walking towards you. “She’s older; she needs to stay sharp.”
You do know that. It’s something you found endearing about him, despite how you feel about dragons.
“I just feel like I haven’t seen you much,” you manage to get it out with a forced smile. “Like you’re always away.”
He tilts his head to the side in question. You feel like one of Helaena’s bugs. Inspected and poked.
“You don’t like being around Vhagar,” he points out. “I’d love to take you with me, but you don’t want that now do you.”
You look down at your hands. He doesn’t get it. He has the blood of the dragon flowing through him. For him, Vhagar is a symbol of pride and declaration of love for his ancestors and house. To you, she’s an unpredictable power that you still think humans should not mess with. It’s better to chalk it up to you fearing versus bringing up how you really feel about them. How you share the same skepticism many people across the Seven Kingdoms do. It scares you to think about Daella getting a dragon of her own. You see the awe in her eyes when she looks at her egg or when Aemond tells her stories of the past and present that include them.
Oh, the irony of you being weary of dragons while bounded to a man who rides the biggest of them all.
“No, I don’t,” you mumble. You finally work up the courage to bring up what you really want. “It’s just Aegon said something about you, and I guess it made me think about where you go so often.”
The words adultery or whore make your tongue feel heavy, and don’t come out He sighs once he reaches you, grabbing your face in his hands making you look at him.
“My wife do not let the thoughts of the small minded people cloud your judgment,” he leans his forehead down to yours. “You’re smarter than that.”
He’s not wrong, it is like Aegon stir things up. Aemond has a way of doing this. A way of making you feel silly with his self-assurance. He makes it easy to doubt your gut instincts. His affection has a similar debilitating quality. It’s why your head gets a bit fuzzy when he kisses you. A warm and gentle kiss that left you a bit weak in the knees. You sigh when his lips move to the sensitive spot under your ear.
“We should have another babe,” his whisper makes your eyes shoot open. “Give Daella a sibling.”
You pull away, eyes wide. As much as you loved how Aemond doted on you while you were with Daella, you also remember how difficult the experience was. How towards the end, you were basically confined to the castle as to not risk your health or the babe’s. Your every thought being on the life in your stomach.
“A little warrior would be nice, no?”
Aemond had told you he’s not picky about how many children you two have or even the sex of them. But you’re sure like any noble man, he wants his blood and name passed on as much as possible. Especially as a Targaryen. You’d be lying if you said the thought of a little boy didn’t make you happy. Your children hopefully having a strong bond.
You look at the seemingly earnest look in his eye. You nod with a nervous smile, and he kisses you again. That night being the first of many he tried to put an heir in you.
He wouldn’t want another child while his heart is not it… right?
You gingerly rub your stomach while leaning your head back against the seat. Ever grateful that you have Queen Alicent and Helaena to keep you company and help. Taking Daella off your hands during the day while you rest, your pregnancy making you more tired.
Before you can fall asleep, your lady in waiting peaks her head in the room.
“I’m sorry to disturb you princess, but Lord Strong has requested to see you.”
Your brows furrow. You have seen Larys Strong around, but outside of that he’s been a mystery to you. A figure looming in the background but never someone you interacted with regularly.
“Send him in.”
Lord Strong comes in, small smile on his face. You motion for him to sit in the chair next to you.
“Princess, you’re glowing,” he starts as he sits. “The halls are buzzing with excitement about a new babe.”
You raise a brow. Maybe you outwardly look better than you feel because you don’t feel positively glowing. Not in the slightest. You didn’t feel this exhausted till later when you had Daella.
“Thank you Lord Strong,” you try to keep a kind smile on your face. “What can I do for you today?”
“I just wanted to check in. Let you know that if you need anything, I am always of service.”
You nod slowly, confused about where this is all coming from. What service?
“I know how stressful being with child can be, especially when the father is… busy,” he continues, leaning back in the seat.
Your smile drops. For a time, you did think things were getting better. Aemond seemed excited when you two found out you were with child again. Things were good till they weren’t anymore. He’s not around again, and now you are going to bring another life into an unstable situation. The tone of Larys’ voice makes you uneasy. He smiles like he knows something you don’t.
“I appreciate the kindness, but I do not think your um services are needed.”
He nods at that before reaching into his pocket and handing you what you assume is a letter. He motions you to read it. You stare at the outside of letter. recognizing your husband’s handwriting.
My Alys
Your hands shake as you open the letter. Your vision gets blurred with tears as certain words and phrases stand out. Miss you, need to see you, miserable at King’s Landing, love you. Your squeeze your eyes shut when you see words mistake, baby, and your name in the same sentence.
“Those pesky ravens, sometimes they do the maddest things,” Larys whispers softly. “My princess, the woman the letter is for is an… old friend of mine. If you need me to keep an eye on this or even take care of anything, just let me know. I am always here.”
You look at him as he gets up to leave, lip trembling. Your eyes move stare at the fire in front of you. Fire, blood, and dragons have all consumed your life now.
Is this why you don’t under the understand the obsession with dragons. You hate the ludicrous insistence that you can control them. That if you give them enough love and patience that they will need you the way you need them. Good behavior has gotten you nothing. Doing right by the dragons in your life has gotten you nowhere. Aemond is not yours despite the vows you took, or sacrifices you’ve made for him. The same way your children will never be yours despite the pain you take to have them.
You’ve been burned by the very dragon that’s supposed to protect you.
“Lord Strong,” you blurt before he gets to the door. He turns to you expectedly. “There is something you can do for me actually.”
premise: your husband Eddie Munson arrives on your front door steps five years after he left Hawkins. He holds divorce papers in his hands along with a secret he hopes that can stay private before the media breaks the news. Little does he remember that big secrets never last long in small towns.
TW: mention of divorce/marriage, alcohol and cigarette use, abandonment, cursing, arrest
————
The smell of cigarettes and booze is strong in the air. Def Leppard plays in the background and the bar is starting to fill with more and more people as time goes on. Young couples sway in the middle of the dance floor while friends gather at the tables close off to the side. The place is alive and filled with the same spirit of being together.
Eddie Munson is alone nursing a beer.
He sits inside of the bar that he once used to play at in his younger years. It feels like time froze here. The tables are the same, young couples still come here for a night out and the owner sits in the back thinking of new ways to draw cash in.The only difference is the bartender working her way through college and the bathrooms are upgraded. Yet, it’s still the same place Eddie once called his favorite spot. The place that gave him a chance.
The Hideout.
His phone rings on the bar counter. The same number that has been calling him since he landed yesterday doesn’t let up. Annoyance sets in stone as he debates if he should pick up.
He takes a sip from his bottle and the phone stops ringing. Eddie tells himself he’ll return her call when he’s had more to drink.
It’s been a full day since he’s returned to Hawkins and the papers he brought have yet to be signed. He figured you would have tracked him down by now, surely you must have figured out that he wiped the bank account leaving you with nothing.
Of course he has plans to return it once the papers are signed. He’s not a complete monster.
He’s been waiting for you to find him. Give him a piece of your mind. Sign the papers and tell him to shove it down his throat. But he’s only heard radio silence from you. It should worry him that you haven’t reached out to him.
Why haven’t you reached out?
He thinks back to seeing Steve at the house. Maybe you had opened up an account with him and kept your new finances that he supplies you in there. He tells himself he doesn’t care that you’ve probably done that. He doesn’t give a shit that you’re with Steve now. It stings that you share a child with him, but he doesn’t care. He reassures himself that he’s upset that you didn’t bother to divorce him before starting a new life.
The audacity for you to get upset that he came back with divorce papers. At least he had the courtesy to start the process before he marries—-
A ring blares down on the counter stealing him from his thoughts.
Eddie sighs and debates watching it ring again. The bartender glances over and sees his empty bottle. She doesn’t say anything, but the annoyed look on his face tells her everything she needs to know as he debates answering the call. She pulls a fresh bottle and walks over to him. A fresh beer bottle is placed in front of him and he glances up to catch her giving him a wink before walking away. Her smile is sweet, genuine and kind as she tells him to cheer up. Different from the hungry looks he’s used too. He can’t remember when’s the last time someone smiled at him because they wanted to, not because they wanted something from him.
He leaves the beer on the counter. Maybe it was time he showed kindness to the person that’s been calling him. Eddie finds patience in himself to answer the call.
“What’s up?” Eddie answers. A relieved sigh is heard from the other line before anger is thrown at him.
“What the hell is wrong with you? Why haven’t you called?” Her voice is scratchy in his ear. He can practically see her running her smooth hands through her perfect hair. Not a strand out of place unlike his unruly head. The shiny ring on her finger has probably been polished again ready for her to show off to her father and friends. The thought alone makes him want to order a bottle of tequila and drown in it.
He tells himself he’ll try the kindness act again tomorrow.
Eddie grumbles wiping a hand down his face. He definitely should have had another bottle before picking up the call. He hears her annoyance strong in her voice as she goes on to list the reasons why he should have called the moment he landed.
He thinks about hanging up the phone. The buzz of his third beer is starting to set in and he has to be up early tomorrow to find you. If you weren’t going to seek him out, he’ll just track you down and make you aware of his actions.
“Are you even listening, Eddie?” Her high pitch tone shrieks in his ear.
No. I haven’t listened to a word since the moment we met. Why would I now? He wants to say.
He leans back in the bar stool and looks around. The stage he used to perform on mocks him as it stands empty ready for its next band to perform. A wave of nostalgia hits him as he envisions his younger self strumming his guitar, dreaming of the day he plays a bigger crowd.
Eddie’s taken back to his teenage years. The drive of his younger self chasing a dream that he now lives as a reality almost thanks him as he looks down and sees the shiny new rings on his fingers. The same ones that would have taken five years worth of savings, now only a few performances. He’s about to hit it big with the band. He can’t afford to lose out now.
So he bites his tongue and tells himself that there’s more on the line. He clears his throat and adjusts the phone on his shoulder.
“Yeah, babe. I’m listening. Sorry, just tired from the flight.”
———
A blanket of anger wraps around you as fury builds with every step you take. You’re sure that if looks could kill, every person watching you make your way through the parking lot would be dead on the floor. But that’s the last thing on your mind. There’s only one person that you would like nothing more than to see six feet under.
The audacity of Eddie Munson coming back into your life. He’s only been in town for 24 hours and he’s already become the biggest pain in your ass. Again.
It’s nearing 5 p.m and the parking lot is getting full at The Hideout. You don’t even know if he’s here, but if there’s still some of the old Eddie that you knew still left, you know he’ll be sitting at the third seat at the bar counter. You knew there was a slim chance he would be at his uncle’s house. Something just told you you’d find him here and you were going to go with your gut.
You’re too wrapped up in what curse words you’ll be spewing at Eddie to notice the warm greeting from Joyce Beyers. She sits on the hood of her car waiting for two familiar faces to show up. When you walk by ignoring her friendly wave and the angry look in your eye she immediately grows with concern. Joyce goes to stop you but stops when your hand meets the entrance of the building.
The door is jerked open with great force and you step in. The place is filled with a few parties. The music is loud but you can faintly make out conversations. It takes you a few moments but your eyes instantly narrow on the curly brown hair you used to love playing with.
He sits alone at the bar, third seat down from the end. Figures.
Eddie doesn’t see you as he faces the bar, his back to the door. He’s got a phone pressed between his shoulder and chin. You take him in for a moment, just watching how relaxed he looks. He has a beer in front of him and takes a swing gulping down the liquor before returning back to his conversation. So carefree enjoying a beer you know you paid for. The sight pisses you off and your anger bubbles over.
Your eyes narrow as you’re walking towards him not caring that you look like a bat out of hell. The words fall out of your mouth before you realize you’re yelling at your husband from across the bar. People lose interest in their conversations, quickly finding entertainment in your business.
“You sorry son of a bitch!”
Eddie freezes hearing your voice. All of the patrons watch as you reach him wondering what has caused your outburst. You slam your hand on the counter top forgetting you’re in public. He looks at you and takes in your distaste at the sight of him. He slowly grins. It’s about time he thinks to himself.
“I’ll call you right back,” Eddie ends his conversation and hangs up the phone placing it on the counter. A hand is on your hip while your other arm stabilizes your weight by resting on the counter. You fight the urge to wipe that grin right off his face.
He’s smug. Taking your anger as a victory as if he just won a battle.
“Fancy seeing you here, Sweets,” Eddie happily greets you. His remark sounds sincere, but the tone in his voice is anything less. Yet, he’s relieved you found him here without any form of communication. Even after years of no contact, it amuses him how you found him here.
You shake your head at him not believing that he’s taking this as a joke. The dig comes quicker before you can realize what you’re saying to him.
“Yeah, I looked up where the washed up rock stars like to hang out at and figured I’d give this place a start.”
Eddie only laughs. He knows that’s not true. He knows you know that’s not true either. He’s far from being washed up in his career, if anything, he’s about to hit his peak. The tabloids in the paper and new record deal he just signed says the opposite of your statement but you’re mad. Rightfully so, so he just turns his body towards you. Your knees brush against each other and you’re quick to look down. Eddie doesn’t say anything. You flick your eyes back up to his. He’s amused by your anger.
“Ouch, washed out rock star?” Eddie picks up his bottle and presses it to his lip. He nods his head to the side. “That’s a new one, sweets.” You watch as his lips wrap around it before he tilts his head back giving you a clear view of his neck.
He’s filled out more since the last time you saw him. He’s grown into his body and he looks annoyingly good. The neck you used to leave marks all over from your mouth now mocks you as your hands itch to strangle it.
Eddie watches you as you visibly swallow. You look up at him and he throws you a wink. You scowl at him.
“Shall we continue our conversation from yesterday?” Eddie asks, setting the bottle down on the counter.
You ignore his question getting straight to the point. It was embarrassing enough finding out your funds had been wiped when you tried to pay for your delivery at the shop. You weren’t going to give him anymore of your humiliation by talking about the divorce in a bar of all places. “Give me back my money, Munson.”
It’s Eddie’s turn to drop his smile and glare at you. It wasn’t just your money in the account. The monthly checks he’s been sending should have been deposited into that account. Sure, he left. But that doesn’t mean he left you high and dry. He made sure to send you a good portion of his earrings to make sure you’d still be taken care of.
“Sign the papers and you can have every cent back,” He challenges. You shake your head in disbelief. The ache in your chest is only fueled by your anger but you refuse to let him see the hurt.
“Give me my money and you’ll walk out with all limbs.”
Eddie’s smile doesn’t falter. He only laughs knowing that comeback didn’t have to take much from you. You were always quick with your remarks. But, he was quicker.
Eddie raises his left hand with a menacing smile on his face. “What’s mine is yours and what’s yours is mine, remember?”
A frustrated chuckle escapes as you smack his hand down. It feels like a cruel dream. The man disappears for years, comes back with divorce papers and now sits in front of you mocking your wedding vows. “Just like how you were supposed to stay for better or for worse, remember baby?” You spit the term of endearment out as an insult. The hard look on Eddie’s face tells you that he knows the double meaning behind the vow.
Eddie sits up straighter shaking his head at you. He stands up and you stay planted in your spot. His chest is up against yours as the both of you stand off against each other. He no longer finds this amusing. He’s getting just as frustrated as you are now. The hate in your eyes stands clear. He wishes he could mirror yours.
You still blame him for that night.
“No, you don’t get to do this. You don’t get to blame me for—-.”
Eddie is cut off when you point a finger in his face. “No, you don’t get to take my money and—“
He throws his hands up in the air. Of course you’re avoiding the subject when he brings up that night. Some things haven’t changed. You not being able to talk to him being one of them.
“No, you don’t get to blame me for leaving when you’re the one who—“
An audience has been created by the other patrons in the bar. They watch as you and Eddie go back and forth not caring about the scene that’s being created.
You throw in an insult and Eddie points his finger in your face. You shove it away and he only turns his hand to hold onto your wrist. He’s gentle but firm as he stops you from getting in his face.
You stomp your foot. “Stop touching me!”
“Stop pointing your stupid finger in my face!” He dramatically throws his hands up.
“I wouldn’t have to point my finger in your stupid face if you would listen! But I guess that mop on your head is still clouding your hearing!”
Eddie gasps as if you just disrespected his mother. “Don’t you dare insult my hair!”
The both of you look like children arguing over who ate the last cookie in the jar. You both are too busy throwing insults at each other to notice the front door opening. Two dirt covered boots step into the bar and a pair of brown eyes zero in on you and Eddie. Joyce right behind them.
The man stops in his tracks. He was never one for rumors, but he did hear the whispers in the grocery store and didn’t think they were true. Surely, he expected to hear the source straight from you by now. But, as he watches Eddie throw his hands up in the air as you roll your eyes at him his suspicions are confirmed.
The cheshire grin spreads like butter. He makes his way over taking slow, dramatic steps. The way he gets so much joy out of giving the metal head takes him back to his younger days. Joyce looks to where he’s heading and stops with her jaw wide open. Seeing Eddie back in town is more than shocking to the woman. Eddie and you are inches away from each other’s faces when Joyce’s date chooses to interrupt the fight.
“Well if it isn’t the jail birds back in action after all these years.”
You stop mid sentence. Eddie freezes. That voice… it couldn’t be…
The cool collected rock star has vanished and for a moment Eddie feels like he’s 26 years old again. He’s taken back to the days of him dodging the older man from his illegal activities.
Footsteps get closer to Eddie and before he knows it someone’s throat is being cleared. Eddie smells the tobacco radiating off of them confirming his worst nightmare. The cigarette and cheap cologne always meshed together to create a distinct scent. A scent practically embedded in Eddie’s memory from the times he’s had to seek it out. Eddie could always smell him first before he appeared. There was a reason Eddie wanted to be in and out of Hawkins. The person behind him being a strong contender of his list. He closes his eyes and mumbles out a quiet fuck knowing he’s been caught.
“You have got to be kidding me.”
You only can grin seeing Eddie quickly shrink into himself. Even after all of these years, the older man had a way of making Eddie feel so small. Eddie slowly opens his eyes and sees the mischievous glint in your eyes. His blood runs cold knowing what you were thinking.
Don’t you dare Eddie mouths at you. You only raise a brow at him challenging him.
“Hey, Hopper.” Eddie’s nostrils flare as you smile at him.
A hand slaps on his shoulder and he’s spun around to face the sheriff. Eddie hears you chuckle from behind him. He tries to mask his fear but it’s quickly wiped away the moment Hopper gives him the same smile he used to right before he took him down to the office.
“Well,if it isn’t Mischievous Munson back in the flesh,” Hopper pats Eddie’s shoulder one last time before ruffling his hair. Eddie takes a step back immediately trying to fix the damage Hopper has done. Hopper grins seeing Eddie’s annoyance. You can’t help but laugh harder seeing the two back together after so many years. It always humored you the way Hopper could humble Eddie so quickly.
“I see you’re still causing trouble, Munson,” Hopper smirks looking between the both of you. Eddie hopes you don’t see the way he’s trying to stay collected. You do and decide to let Hopper humor you while you take a break from chewing Eddie out. You shrug your shoulders taking Eddie’s seat.
Eddie looks Hopper up and down, giving him a fake smile. The old dig he used to tell Hopper to piss him off comes back to memory and he’s saying it out loud before giving it another thought. “I see you’re still keeping the town bakery in business.”
Hopper’s lips drop and his eyes instantly narrow. It’s Eddie’s turn to win this round. It’s like watching both men from years ago. Hopper tries to stop Eddie from his activists, Eddie finding a way out of it. It’s bittersweet remembering those days.
How times have changed.
Hopper gives Eddie one last look before turning to find Joyce. Out of instinct Eddie turns to see your reaction. The two of you always finding yourselves in trouble but somehow lucking out and not having anything on your records.
You fight the urge to give Eddie the approving smile. He was just insulting you a moment ago. But when he flashes that big grin at you, you break and feel your smile struggling to appear. But you hide it by looking away. You catch a glimpse of his beer. The bottle is still full so you swipe it, his eyes remain on you the whole time.
You make a show of wiping off any potential residue from it. “You body shame Hopper, you lose your drink.” You cheer it up at him before taking a huge swing on it. Eddie catches the act and rolls his eyes at you.
“Classy,” Eddie mumbles out. He goes to sit down in the seat next to yours. You kick the chair out just as he goes to sit. He stumbles but catches himself. You smile sweetly at him. He flips you off.
“Classy,” you mock him. Eddie takes a seat and goes to grab the beer from you but you only dodge it up in the air.
“Seriously? I just paid for that.”
You shake your head at him taking another sip. “With my money, shithead.”
Eddie is about to say another word when the sound of a warm voice cuts him off. You both turn your attention to the front door where you see the neighborhood mother walking in with her adopted daughter.
Joyce Byers and El Hopper.
Eddie’s jaw drops seeing the once annoying child grown up now. Joyce has aged gracefully, a few lines running on her face, ever still so beautiful. El is in a matching uniform as her father, hair pulled back in a sleek ponytail. Eddie can’t help but grumble.
“Is that El?” Eddie questions. He knew it was. The bright smile she always wore stays put on her face as she walks up to her dad with Joyce beside her. You nod your head proudly.
“And she’s a cop?” Eddie‘s baffled. He thought once Jim retired that’s be the last of the Hopper family this town would have. Lord knows he’s had enough interactions with him to last a lifetime.
He stands very wrong.
The brunette girl stands proud in her uniform. The one she just received a few weeks ago, following in her dad’s footsteps. It was a sweet ceremony you got to attend, proud of her for growing into a beautiful young lady. The days of babysitting her are long gone and seeing her so grown up has a warm feeling spread across your chest.
“Thought this town had enough of Hopper,” Eddie mumbles. You watch as your husband raises his hand gaining the attention of the bartender. She passes by and asks Eddie if he wants another beer to which he quickly agrees.
“I’d offer to get you one, but you know,” his smug attitude pisses you off and you remember why you’re here. What a cocky bastard you think running your tongue across your teeth.
“What? Nothing to say?” He laughs. He’s having too much fun with this. Nearly forgetting the reason why he’s here.
You clear your throat glaring at Eddie. El’s laugh catches your attention. She’s excitedly telling Joyce about her day while Hopper stands proudly. You watch as Hopper takes out a box of Marlboros from his pocket. He rests it in between his lips knowing better than to light it in front of his daughter. You’re sure El has had her moments of smoking. In fact, you know she has. A memory jogs in your brain. A secret you and Eddie kept to each other that would have definitely ended up on his record. One you’re about to break to get the last word.
Eddie Munson may think he won the battle, but you’re about to win the war.
No hesitation holds you back as your glare turns up. Eddie is watching you. He sees the mischievous glint in your eyes. He knows that look. It’s the same look you give right before you go for a kill. He goes to ask you what’s going through your mind but you gain Hopper’s attention first.
“Hey, Hop,” you smile sweetly up at the older man. Hopper stops his conversation with Joyce and looks your way. El sees Eddie. The same shocked expression is quickly becoming a regular reaction to him. How could it not be after he’s been gone?
You turn your attention back to Eddie, waiting to see the look on his face. The suspicious look on his face is enough to make you laugh in his face. You hold it in wanting your sentence clear for all to hear. “Didn’t you have a warrant out for that drug dealer that sold marijuana to El when she was in high school?”
Eddie’s face falls. Joyce gasps. El’s eyes grow wide. You turn your attention back on Hopper, pleased with yourself. His lips are pressed together and his eyes are slant. All sources of amusement drops from Jim’s face. You watch as he slowly looks at your husband. Eddie’s Adam’s apple bobs up and down as his eyes widen meeting the sheriff's displeased face.
Hopper slowly nods his head in agreement reaching for his metal bracelet. The sheriff has been waiting years to put the cuffs on Eddie. Eddie’s eyes are wide. It’s hilarious how one person can humble someone in a matter of moments.
You stand up from the bar sipping the last of the beer. Eddie’s mouth hangs open and you can’t help but to raise a gentle hand and shut it for him. He gulps and looks at you, disbelief that you just said that written all over his face.
“What? Nothing to say?” You use his words against him.
You shrug a shoulder at Eddie turning on your heel. You’ll get your money back, one way or another.
Eddie watches as you head towards the door and looks at Hopper who takes a step towards him. Eddie backs up and raises his heads trying to think of something quick to say. He thinks he’s done for. Hopper is finally getting him after all these years.
But when you turn your head over your shoulder and wink at him his memory serves him justice. You blow him a kiss before turning around. Your hand is on the door ready to walk out when his voice stops you.
“I may have sold it, but I wasn’t the one growing it,” Eddie states the fact to Hopper but keeps his eyes on you the whole time.
You spin around, disbelief in your eyes. Hopper looks straight at you in total shock. The plants you used to grow in your past are coming to haunt you in the present.
Hopper crosses his arms and El looks down. Joyce tries to change the subject asking if anyone wants to hear about her son’s new discovery at university. It goes on deaf ears.
“So you’re growing more than roses in that shop of yours, huh?” Hoppers arms are crossed and you don’t know weither to run out the door or go across the room to smack that stupid smirk off Eddie’s face.
Eddie catches the last of Hopper’s sentence and curiosity gets the best of him. You own a shop?
You immediately try to put the blame back on Eddie, anything to get Hopper’s attention on him. Your amateur days of growing marijuana were over. Eddie’s quick to start to defend himself. The two of you are creating more noise than the music blaring in the background. After a minute Hopper only holds his hand up tired of hearing you and Eddie bicker.
Hopper turns his attention to El who has settled beside Joyce away from the action. She knows Hopper isn’t done with her and will get to her after he’s proven a point. But for now, he was ready to show El how to do her first arrest.
“Hey El,” Hopper takes a step towards Eddie deciding he’ll personally deal with him. Hopper knows you won’t give El a hard time so he makes a quick decision. “Time for you to break in those new cuffs.”
Your jaw drops and Eddie’s laughter fills the bar. He’s bent over with his obnoxious laugh as Hooper walks up to him, cuffs in hand. Hopper glances over to see El making her way to you taking her handcuffs from her hip. Eddie doesn’t give Hopper a struggle as he turns around with his hands already behind his back. If he was getting arrested, he’d happily do so with you right by his side. Nothing like kicking you from your high horse Eddie thinks.
El gives you a guilty smile turning you around. Metal cuffs meet your wrist the same time Hopper gives Eddie a matching pair. Everyone watches the scene unfold. Tomorrow’s gossip is already making its way out into the town.
“Hey Sweets!” Eddie calls from behind you. You glance over your shoulder as El begins to walk you to the door.
“Don’t look too upset. If I recall correctly, you do like the cuffs.” Eddie’s innuendo to the handcuffs makes your jaw drop. El’s cheeks heat up in embarrassment. Laughter is heard from the bystanders. Hopper smacks the back of Eddie’s head. You
“You’re such an asshole,” you shoot daggers at Eddie. The two of you make it outside to Hopper’s SUV. Eddie rolls his eyes as he steps aside to let El open the back door.
“Yeah, I am. But, you know what?” Eddie’s question is rhetorical as he stares you down. Hopper goes to the driver’s side to unlock the vehicle leaving El to watch you both. Eddie steps up to you. “At least I can admit my fuck ups. When’s the last time you took a look in the mirror and accepted the past?” Eddie knows he’s cutting deep. The reference to that night always finding a way to open that endless wound. El, who stands beside you, pushes a gentle hand against Eddie’s chest. He looks you up and down. The distaste written out on his face.
The hurt you feel from that night is with you every day. Therapy sessions and talking it out have helped, but nothing can ever take away the pain. It makes you mad that Eddie is able to carry on like nothing happened. Like he wasn’t affected by it. Maybe that’s why he was able to leave this town behind and not look back. You always wished you could have had the strength he had. But looking at him you don’t see strength anymore. You see the coward that left. The coward that’s making a mockery of your emotions. Hurt is replaced by fury and you’re being fueled by it.
The ticking time bomb that is your anger sets off and you’re turning your body to kick Eddie’s groin. You miss and end up kicking him in the shin, sending him straight down. He lets out a pained groan as El’s jaw drops. Hopper hears Eddie’s cry and runs over from the other side of the vehicle.
You use the opportunity and go to give him another kick but Hopper hooks his arms under yours, pulling you away from Eddie.
“Hey, hey! Knock it off!” Hopper yells, swinging your body away from Eddie. El tries to cover her laugh with a cough but her dad hears her and sends her a glare.
Behind you, you hear Joyce calling your name. She runs over telling Jim to let go of you. He tells her to get back and drags you to the car. You’re still trying to get in another kick while Hopper opens the back seat. He takes your arms and throws you in as you continue to shout insults at Eddie.
Hopper slams the door shut and stomps over to where Eddie lays on the ground. El sees the displeased look on her father’s face and quickly wipes away the amusement. She meets her dad to where Eddie lays and helps his get him back on his feet. Hopper grabs a handful of Eddie’s shirt causing the rock star’s eyes to widen.
“I didn’t do anything! They started it—“
Hopper growls at Eddie baring his teeth as he pulls him inches away from his face. The sheriff is already annoyed by his presence.
“I don’t give a shit who started it. I’m ending it.” He opens the front seat keeping one hand on Eddie. You glare at both men from the back huffing out your anger.
Hopper shoves Eddie in and shuts the door without another word.
Joyce stands by El with a hand on her heart. El gives Hopper a sheepish smile. Hopper digs a hand into his jacket and pulls a cigarette out from it. The same one from earlier that he never got a chance to taste. He places it in between his lips as he leans against the car door catching a breath.. He hears you and Eddie start to argue again. He lays his hand flat against the glass and hits the window. Both of you shut up.
He thinks back to when he couldn’t get you two to stop laughing every time he got called to pick you up from whatever trouble you found yourselves in. Now, he can’t get you two to stop fighting for a drive down to the station. He finally lights the cigarette not caring who's around. A tired huff is let out as he wipes his arm across his forehead. The long awaited question the whole town has been asking finally comes out of Hopper’s mouth.
“What the hell happened to them?”

I didn’t bother to hide my groan of detest as I slammed my pencil against my desk hard enough to break the thin lead inside of it.
“Fucking great.” I mumbled, pressing my hand against my face as the others sat around our shared biology table, glanced up at me.
“Did you say something miss y/n?” Mr Kaminski glared up from the straight edge list of names in his hands as the room quieted down, waiting for me to rile up.
I stilled my hands as I felt twenty-four sets of eyes land on my back, one particular smug pair burning into me from where he sat at the back of the class.
“No sir.” I smiled, pressing my lips into a thin line as soon as he turned away from me.
“Great, move into your groups then please. You only have a week until the assignment is due so I suggest you get to work asap…” Loud scrapes of chair legs drowned out our teachers direction as everyone moved to different tables, groaning and muttering as they split from their friend groups.
My childhood best friend Tracy, squeezed my shoulder and shot me a sympathetic smile as she slid from her chair to move a couple of seats over, greeting her group with enthusiasm.
Easier for her, she had the class genius and science geeks in hers. I bit back my sigh as the empty chairs around me filled up, avoiding their half assed introductions as they agreed on their mutual annoyance.
Two band geeks, a jock and a freak.
It was like the start of a bad joke and since I was one hundred percent going to end up having to do this group project on my own, I was the punch line.
“So should we meet up at the library after class?” Colin’s voice was timid as toyed with raw skin around his nail beds, his glasses sliding to the tip of his nose as he cowered under our stares.
“This afternoons no good for me bro, got basketball practice.” Andy, the air headed jock, leant back on two of his chair legs as he tossed a pencil into the air, grinning at me through the base of his cap as I glared at him, folding my hands around my elbows as I crossed my arms.
Sherre, the only other girl in the group, stayed quiet as she hid behind her thin hair and flipped through a note book filled with random doodles.
I sighed audibly this time as I slammed my text books into my bag, resigning to the inevitable responsibility I’d been unintentionally given.
“Let’s meet up at my place at seven? My parents are out of town on a retreat for my mom’s work.” The were three unenthusiastic murmurs of agreement as I stood up from my chair and slung my bag over my shoulder, counting down the seconds until the bell rang.
“Mmm sevens no good for me. Got plans.” I’d been avoiding his sarcastic smirk that crinkled his dark eyes since he sat down across from me, but I finally turned my death stare on him as he leant back in chair. His smile widened as my face flushed angrily, raising his brows slightly as he twirled one of those ridiculously large rings around his finger.
“Alright well it does for everyone else. And since those three live in walking distance to my place, and I doubt we could all fit into your trailer, probably best that you reschedule these ‘plans’ of yours, Munson.” The rest of our group turned silent as they watched the heated argument build between us, shrinking as I pointed my finger towards each of them.
His smile grew impossibly wider as he held his hands up in the air in an innocent show of defeat, biting his lip to hide a laugh as he looked me up and down.
“Make sure you turn up, we’ve only got a week and I have a lot of fucking work to do.” I didn’t bother to wait for the bell as I stalked out of class, straight past Mr Kaminski’s questioning face as I headed for the main exit.
I groaned as I hesitated in the open metal door way, flinching away from the sudden onslaught of cold rain that fell from the darkened clouds above.
Today couldn’t get any worse.

The phone was ringing in a shrill, echoing off the empty entrance walls as I slammed the door behind me, shaking out of my soaked jacket as I went to answer it.
“Hello?”
Hey, it’s Tracy
I leant back against the wall, dropping my keys in the bowl on the hallway table.
“Hey girl.” Her light laughed tinkled through the receiver as I kicked off my sneakers.
I can hear how pissed you are
“This is the second time Mr Kaminski’s stuck me in a shit group.”
Colin and Sherre aren’t too bad, Andy’s an idiot but harmless and Eddie’s…
“An ass.” I finished for her, tugging on the phone cord as I crossed the carpeted runner to flick the light on, chasing away the growing shadows that turned my empty home into a chilling nightmare.
Well, I’m not going to argue with you there. But what can you do? Just try and get along for the sake of your grade?…
I could feel her suppressed giggle through the line and I was glad she couldn’t see me rolling my eyes.
“Yeah well I’m seriously considering just flunking out of the project, my grade can take the hit.”
Munsons definitely couldn’t though.
I smiled at the thought.
“But they’re all coming over in a couple of hours so too late to cancel.” A loud crack of thunder pounded over head, making the glass panes of the front door windows shake dangerously.
In this weather?
“I’d rather get it over with as soon as possible.”
True, well call me after you’ve finished.
I promised to call her back and hung up, creeping through the house as I followed a familiar path to turn all the lights on, bringing a sense of comfort around me as the silence inbetween thunder claps, sent an eerie tingle up my spine.
I sighed as I made my way to the kitchen, glancing at the growing pile of dirty dishes in the sink. The house wasn’t dirty, but it wasn’t exactly tidy either, the mess didn’t bother me but it would give my mother an early on-sought heart attack. I’d thought I’d had another day to clean before they got home, but with my expected houseguests, I figured I’d better make things presentable.
Even if the so called visitors were the last people on earth, I didn’t want to spend time with them out of school, well to be fair it was just one of them, the others were merely tolerable.
The sun was well and truly setting by the time the first knock resounded throughout the empty entry way. I glanced at the clock as I wiped my hands covered in soap suds, against my dark jeans, it read 0710 and I tried not to let my annoyance show as I ripped the door open.
Two equally looking drowned bundles of jumpers were huddling and shivering on the porch as the rain hammered down angrily around them, ricocheting off the concrete and bouncing onto the freshly vacuumed carpet.
“Shit, come in!” I tried not to cringe as Colin’s and Sherre’s sneakers left squelching wet marks against the floor, regret flooding through me that I hadn’t checked the weather and at least tried to reschedule.
“The fire’s going in the living room, I’ve got everything set up in there for us.” They both shot me thankful looks as they peeled their outer layers off, I had just swung the door back on it’s hinges when it was smacked out of my hand. Andy came bounding down the soaked pathway with a basket ball under his arm as he shot through the front door, streaks of water dripping off his exposed arms as he shook out his team jersey.
“Damn it’s wet out here.” I rolled my eyes at the obvious as I waved him into the living room.
I craned my neck into the hazy street to check for a sign of Eddie or that ancient, loud van of his, but the street was empty. I let the door swing close with one last concerned look at the growing puddles of dirty water that swelledup against the gutters, before I went to join the others.
“Does anyone want anything to drink?” I folded myself in-front of the coffee table across from the band geeks as they carefully pulled protected notebooks from their rain splattered back packs.
I tried to ignore the growing wet patches on the fabric of an arm chair that Andy slouched against, spinning his ball on his Index finger as I flipped open our biology text book.
“What about the freak?” I waved Andy’s question off flippantly, surprised that he was the one concerned about Eddie’s presence.
I straightened my posture as I settled into my role of ‘doing everything while everyone claimed credit’.
“Okay I was thinking for the topic, that we compare the effect of antibiotics on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria-“ My words were interrupted rudely as the front door swung open wide, smacking back against the wall as it emitted a frenzied Eddie that dripped cold droplets onto the carpet.
I shot him an angry glare as the others glanced up in surprise and offered a greeting. His face split into a wide grin as he shook his curls out of his collar, the tight ringlets were darker than normal from being soaked in the rain, misty droplets of water trickled down the ends of them and curled around the edge of his chin, rolling onto his parted lips as his eyes found mine and his grin turned snarky.
His jeans had dark patches that matched his leather jacket as he swiped at the damp material, I bit back the rise of animosity that rose in my throat over the fact that he didn’t knock - I probably wouldn’t have heard him over the crack of thunder anyway - and held my hand out towards the matching arm next to Andy’s.
He took the long away around the table, stomping straight over where I sat cross legged on the floor against the couch, I leant back angrily as I huffed and simmering rage burned in my eyes at him, Eddie refused to meet my stare as he gracefully folded himself into the chair, running his tongue along his sharp teeth as he fought back a laugh.
The rest of the group fell silent as the awkward encounter sat uncomfortably in the air, I cleared my throat and sat forward, wanting to have this night over as soon as possible.
“Okay like I was saying-“ I held my hands out from my chest as I pointed my pencil at the graphic photos on the text book, before it was ripped from my grip.
Eddie twirled it between his deft fingers as he leaned back in his seat, spread his legs wide and cocked an eyebrow at me devilishly, urging me to argue.
He was fishing for a rise out of me, and I wasn’t going to give it to him.
I calmly fetched another sharp pencil from beside me as I pointedly turned my attention away from him, pretending - for all intents and purposes - that he was just another frozen piece of furniture that my mother was so uptight about, ignoring every immature attempt to get a reaction from me.

“Okay I think this is a good stopping point.” Andy’s tenth, obnoxious yawn echoed around us as Sherre rubbed her eyes and Colin pulled his glasses from his face.
I glanced up at the clock, it’s face reflecting back just a little past nine as the others stood to their feet with muted groans, shoving their stuff into their bags as I walked them to the door.
I pressed my lips together and cringed for them as I pulled the door open, the deafening sound of the splattering rain hounded down on our ears as Sherre’s face fell and she pulled her newly dry jacket over her head.
She and Colin huddled together before they glanced up at the dark sky and ducked out into the rain, quickly disappearing into the grey haze. Andy held out his fist to me, and surprisingly out to Eddie as well as I felt him move behind me.
“Thanks for the lesson teach.” He shot me a playful grin before he followed suit, using his basketball to shield his hair.
I avoided looking at him as Eddie slid his jacket on and moved closer to me in the doorway, clicking his tongue as I held it wider for him.
“Uhh yeah, we’ve got a problem.” I glanced down at his van parked crudely infront of my driveway, the quickly rising water was lapping angrily at his tires, almost covering them to halfway as the water banked up against the sides of the road.
I swallowed the bundle of panic and nerves in my throat as I grabbed a handful of his jacket and tried to shove him out the door.
“Oh well, I’ll see you at school.” I grunted as he planted his feet and didn’t budge, glancing down at me look like I was crazy.
“Uhh yeah, I can’t drive in that.” My eyes snapped shut as I kept my voice even.
“So, get someone to pick you up.” I shrugged as I tugged on his arm again.
“Can’t, uncle works nights.” He grinned, unfazed by our distasteful problem.
“…. I’m sure you’ll figure something out Munson.” I spoke clearly at him so he wouldn’t miss the fact that this was sounding like a him problem and not an us.
“You’re really going to leave a damsel in distress?” His brows shot up into his bangs in fake show of hurt.
“Well, you’re not staying here!” I half yelled over the storm as the rain battered against the side of the house, pounding on the windows as it screamed to be let in.
“And what do you suggest?” He shot back, his frustration seeping through at my reluctance to help.
“Fine.” I snapped, dropping my arm. “You can sleep on the couch.”
“But I thought we had such a good thing going.” His faked piercing a knife through his heart as I rolled my eyes.
He followed me as I slammed the door shut, spun on my heels and stormed up the stairs, stalking down the hallway toward the linen cupboard.
My stomach sunk as I tugged the brass handle open and small pile of water lapped at the toe of my sneakers. A constant stream of water that had leaked through the roof and left an angry dark patch on the ceiling, was dripping steadily onto the sheets and towels lined up neatly on the shelves.
As if right one cue, the lights flashed off, dousing us in darkness as the steadfast silence of the electricity cutting out, fell on our ears. I hung my head between my shoulders as I felt Eddie’s chest heave with silent laughter, my grip on the door tightened angrily as I sighed.
“In this big, rich house, surely you have a spare bedroom?” His tone was sarcastic and full of judgment as I stared at the dark, soaked sheets.
“Of course we do.” I snapped, slamming the linen door closed.
“It’s just… my dads office.” Eddie sighed as I spun around to face him, peering up at his clenched jaw as he gazed down the dark hallway.
“I can sleep without a blanket.” His eyes were dark as his lashes brushed his cheek bones.
“I’m not worried about you catching a cold Munson. That couch is an antique, you’re not sleeping on it without a sheet. My mom would kill me.” He shot me an exasperated look as I chewed on my lip.
“I’m barely allowed to sit on it.” I muttered, too quiet for Eddie to hear over the hammering thunder.
“Alright, well, parents bedroom it is then.” It was my turn to stare up at him like he was crazy as he looked back at me expectantly, waiting for me to point him in the right direction.
“Are crazy? You know what-” I held a hand up between us as I closed my eyes and gave my head a little shake.
“-Don’t answer that. You’re just going to have sleep in my bed.” I crossed my arms as I resigned myself to the ugly truth.
“You always invite guys into your bed on the first date?” He smirked as he mimicked my stance, flexing his shoulders as he grinned.
“Do you want to sleep outside?” I snapped, pushing past him as I stalked down towards the open door of my bedroom. As I headed to my desk lamp, flicking it on and off without success, I tried to ignore the unfamiliar sensation of nerves that assaulted my stomach as I felt him move behind me.
The first time I was having a boy sleep in my bedroom without my parents home, and it was Eddie Munson.
The world had a sick sense of humour.
“Don’t touch anything.” I snapped as he reached out to man handle one of my childhood teddies I had lined up along my dresser.
“Pretty juvenile.” He smirked as his slid out of his leather jacket, tossing it over the back of my reading chair as he pushed his sleeves up.
“And playing a make believe game with a bunch of freshman isn’t?” His brows shot into his bangs as my stomach sank slowly, his brief moment of hurt scarcely hidden, dimmed my anger as he slid a forced smile back into place.
“Sorry.” I mumbled, sticking my tongue into my cheek. Even in the darkness, I could see the pools of his cheeks redden as he turned away to face my messily made bed, embarrassment shooting through me as he kept his face devoid of any thoughts.
I watched the ends of his curls twist around the base of his neck, caressing his collar bones as he strained his shoulders and stretched his arms, raising them above his head as he yawned and shot a glance at me, smiling as I dropped my stare.
“So which is my side?” Eddie pulled his shirt over his head before I could blink or complain, my eyes bulging as they roamed over his chest dotted with hidden tattoos I’d never seen.
“The left. And make sure you stay on it, don’t get any ideas.” My nails dug into my palms as Eddie hands fell to his belt, grinning as I spun away.
“What the hell are you doing?” I screeched, my hands flying up to cover my eyes.
“I sleep in my jocks. Hope you don’t mind.” Eddie shot me a wink that made my blood boil when I chanced a look at him again, quickly sliding his belt out of the loops as he unbuckled his pants.
“I do actually, what the fuck man.” My voice was thick with embarrassment, over what I wasn’t quite sure, as I looked at everywhere but him.
“Well, I spent all afternoon at the hideout, so unless you want the stench of weed and grog in your nice, clean sheets…” Eddie ran his wet tongue across his bottom lip as I scowled at him, stalking past him to rip a matching pair of pyjamas from my closet, not dignifying his teasing with an answer.
By the time I made it back from the bathroom, shivering in my thin singlet and shorts as the rain hounded down against the side of my house angrily, Eddie was sitting off the edge of the bed on the left side, staring into his hands as he twisted his rings around his fingers.
He hadn’t heard me come back in, and he flinched as another crack of lightening assaulted the street, flashing through the window above my bed and lighting up the frightened lines of his face.
He felt the mattress dip as I half sat on it, my legs swinging off the side as he tuned slowly to face me, his expression carefully guarded.
“You alright?” I asked tentatively, unsure why I even cared enough to check.
Eddie spared me a small smile and nod as his eyes darkened.
I swallowed and dropped my gaze, my anger towards him returning with a strong heat, except this time it felt forced.
“Stay on your side.” I snapped over my shoulder as I tugged down the sheets and slipped beneath them, the cool fabric sending goosebumps up my spine as I pounded my fist into my pillow, moulding it to my liking as I scooted to the very edge of the mattress until I was in danger of falling right off of it.
My breathing quickened as I felt Eddie fidget beside me while he got comfortable, the bed dipping under his weight as it rolled me closer to the middle of the mattress, I huffed angrily as I wiggled back to my side, annoyance flaring in my throat as I silently fumed over our predicament.
But as the next, louder and heavier crack of thunder and lightning made the roof tiles shake and sent a flash of light into my bedroom, creating terrifying shadows that crept up my walls, I burrowed deeper under the warming sheets, greatful for Eddie’s presence as the darkness swallowed us whole again.

Whether it was the drop of temperate that felt like it turned cold enough to turn my breath into ice, or the deafening crack of thunder that made my eardrums ache that made me jolt awake, I flipped over without thinking.
Eddie’s bright eyes flashed in the darkness as my breathing stopped, not daring to move as as our weight moved us both closer to the middle of the bed. I tried to hold back the surge of want as I felt the warmth from his body stretch out against my colder side of the mattress.
“You awake?” My soft whisper was still far too loud in the small space between us.
“Can’t sleep?” His voice was low and gruff, sending an unfamiliar thrill through my lower frame, I bit my lip as I trembled.
I shook my head, trusting he’d feel the movement if he couldn’t see it. “You?”
Eddie returned his own shake.
“Can’t sleep in a new place?” I smiled, silently agreeing that it was impossible, and something that I had always struggled with.
“No… I’m just… not the biggest fan of storms.” His admission was ladled with heavy embarrassment.
“Oh.” I was glad he couldn’t see my face clearly, because it hard for me to imagine that tough, care free - doesn’t give a damn about anything - Eddie Munson, was afraid of something.
“Why can’t you sleep?” His question was edging at something, like he was hoping I had the same answer.
“I’m just cold, I always have a heated blanket, but with no power…” I trailed off, folding my hands under my cheek as our breaths mingled, my stomach clenching uncomfortably as his dark eyes twinkled.
The silence fell around us in a heavy pressure before Eddie spoke up tentatively, like he was expecting a rebuff.
“Here, turn around.” My breathing stopped as I felt his arm move into the air above us in a half open embrace, exposing his chest to me as the sheets lifted.
I stopped breathing as he waited, pinching myself to check if I was dreaming. I tried to find the anger that had paralysed me this afternoon, but it was demolished by the beckoning heat radiating from Eddie’s body that caressed at my shivering skin.
With slow careful movements, I turned back around, leaning my back into his chest as his arm snaked around my middle, tugging me closer as I made sure to keep my legs firmly planted against the edge of the bed, keeping as much space between the lower halves of our body as possible.
It seemed that he was straining even harder than I was to keep us apart as much as possible, and Eddie didn’t push it as I tensed, too on edge at the proximity of our bodies to relax.
As the rain battled heavily with the sturdy walls of my bedroom, I surrendered to Eddie’s hold, sinking into the mattress as his face burrowed against the crown of my hair, his warm breath fanning across the back of my neck.
I was wide awake now, but by the even rise and fall of Eddie’s chest that was pressed against my back, he’d fallen asleep. His face nuzzled against my hair, moved to the crook of my shoulder as his arm tensed around me, his fingers flexed as they tightened on my hip. My hand flashed to his, hesitating between wanting to pull away his arm that curled a sense of security around me, and wanting to pull him tighter.
His warm cheek was pressed against my neck as his soft breath fluttered against my skin, raising goosebumps as I absentmindedly started tracing light patterns up and down his arm.
I’d just started to let myself unwind and relax against the contours of his body, feeling the sweetness of sleep pull at my consciousness when the brightest flash of lightening lit up my room, followed by a deep lash of thunder that made my bones shake.
Eddie jolted, crushing me to his chest as he curled around my body, pressing every hard line of his against mine.
I froze, feeling the hard length of him hidden behind the thin fabric of his jocks, pressing into my ass. The nerves that had flown around in my stomach like butterflies, moved between my legs in a way I didn’t think was possible.
I stayed very still, not daring to breathe as my eyes flew around the room, waiting to see if he’d woken up, but by the unnatural rhythm of his breathing, he had.
Eddie stayed just as silent as me as the seconds ticked by, turning into minuets. The pressure between his legs, rubbing between mine in a way that made me embarrassed of my thoughts, wasn’t going away.
As my heart slowed from hammering in my chest, I started inching away, trying to bring some space between us so I could clear my head.
Eddie’s arm moved from across my stomach to clench the hip that was closest to him, his fingertips digging in painfully as they shot a tremor through me.
“Stop moving. You’re making it worse.” I blushed deeply, rolling onto my back as Eddie moved away from me.
I had one arm curled above my head lazily, sprawling my free hand across my stomach from where my shirt had ridden up.
“Sorry.” I muttered, glancing up at him. Even in the dark, I could see the outline of his jaw clench as he let out a shaky breath.
“Does that happen every night?” My voice was small in the space between us, unsure as my confidence faltered, I had no idea what was urging me on, but the sudden cold from the removal of Eddie’s body around mine, sent a spurn of anger through me.
Eddie scoffed, shaking with a light burst of laughter. “No, but it’s a bit impossible not to with you here.”
“Why?” I bit my lip.
Eddie sighed my name, slumping back against the sheets as he turned to face me.
“Because you’re a beautiful girl, I can’t help it.” His words sent a welcomed shock through me, and I twisted my hips towards him.
“You might hate me, but that really won’t change this.” I could hear his grin as he nodded towards his pants.
“I don’t hate you.” Eddie’s breath froze in his throat as I moved my hand to trace across his jaw gently, ignoring the red alarms bells going off in my mind as I locked them away and gave into my bodies urges.
As I hooked my hand around the back of his neck, Eddie shot forward to meet my mouth eagerly, without restraint or hesitation as his lips met mine. He groaned against me as I twisted my fingers in his hair, pulling his face against mine as he laid me back down against my pillow, hovering over me as I rolled my hips into the air.
He broke away from me with a gasp as he moved to my neck, sucking at the skin as each kiss pulled a moan from me, each one more desperate than the last.
The neves that had moved between my thighs, curled almost painfully as it throbbed, fluttering around nothing as Eddie’s hands roamed my body, gliding across my skin and leaning a trail of fire behind.
He pulled back, rubbing his thumb across my cheek as his arm curled around my head, cradling me softly as his fingers danced at the top of my shorts.
“Can I touch you?”
I nodded softly, biting my lip as Eddie’s fingers disappeared under the thin material. I gasped and threw my head back, arching into the air as his fingers traced above my clit, barely even touching me but enough to send electric jolts through my frame, I turned my face against his arm, breathing heavily against his skin as I squeezed my eyes shut.
“Oh fuck.” I moaned, Eddie let out a soft snort of laughter as I shuddered, grinding into the mattress as his hands moved skilfully in circles over my throbbing bud.
“Do you like that?” His question made my skin tingle as he whispered it into my ear, pressing a soft kiss behind it as I trembled again, whimpering as my legs clenched.
I let out a distracted moan as his fingers slipped between my puffy folds, slipping against the wet that pooled in my panties, my face flushed in embarrassment, but Eddie groaned seductively and pressed his face against my chest.
“You’re so fucking wet.” The nerves coiled tightly within me again as I smiled, letting his words that sounded like a praise wash over me.
I let my legs fall wider, chasing after his approval again as his finger slipped further down and curled inside of me, pressing against the ridges of my walls as he searched for something.
My toes curled as I closed my eyes, leaning off the bed to press my face into his chest, moaning against his skin as he cowered over me, breathing into my hair as he slowly but steadily, began pumping his hand between my legs.
“Oh my god Eddie yes. I want more.” Eddie’s eyes flashed with something dark as they fell to my lips, stealing a devouring kiss from them as he put a stop to my begging.
A second tip of his finger probed at my entrance, a burning sensation shooting through me as he tried to stretch me further before I wiggled away from him. I opened my eyes and placed a restraining hand against his chest, taking a deep, spluttering breath as he pulled back respectfully.
“I want you.” His eyes widened excitedly before confusion clouded them.
“Are you sure? You’re really tight, have you done this before?” His sultry words danced across my skin as I soaked up the second praise, smiling as I curled my hand around his shoulder and nodded feverishly.
“I have, once, but it wasn’t great.” I admitted, feeling embarrassed over my lack of experience.
“I don’t have a condom.” Eddie shot back, pressing his lips together as he tried to keep his will power intact, breathing heavily as he toyed with my clit, my eyes rolled into the back of my head as I tried to form my reasoning.
“I’m on the pill.” Eddie didn’t argue with me as he moved above me completely, settling between my thighs as his planted kisses all along my neck and down my chest, tugging at the hem of my shirt until I let him pull it free over my hair.
The reverent look in his eyes washed away any insecurities that choked me as he moved to take my nipples into my mouth, massaging and tugging at whichever one his lips weren’t wrapped around as I gasped and writhed beneath him.
He helped me as he felt me trying to tug his boxers down, wriggling out of his shorts as I leant back against the pillow and reached up to grip his shoulders, bracing myself as Eddie leant back down, his loose hair tickled my chin as he wrapped a hand around my thigh, hiking it around his waist as he nudged my other leg to the side.
I bit my lip as he wrapped his large hand around his cock, freeing it from his shorts as he tapped at my entrance, running it up and down my slick folds as I moaned and tried to wiggle down against him, practically crying out for him as he smiled above me.
“So pretty when you beg.” The praise mixed with the burning feeling as Eddie melted into me, stretching me out as I dug my nails into his skin, was enough to make me cry with pleasure.
Eddie swore against my shoulder as he began to expertly move our bodies as one, thrusting his hips into mine as I buried my face against him, loosing myself in the blinding feeling that his body was fucking into mine, his length was rubbing against a spot inside of me that made the coil of nerves flutter to explode.
“You’re doing such a good job, taking me so well.” Eddie grunted into my mouth as he forced his tongue into mine, sending my mind blank as I dug my heels into the crook of behind his knees, whimpering for him to go faster.
Eddie pulled my hands free, intertwining our fingers above my head as he muttered how pretty I was, how good I felt, how he couldn’t believe this was happening.
The nerves in between my legs turned into an almost giddy tickling sensation as Eddie pounded into me faster, moving his free hand between us to rub at my clit again.
“You gonna come for me?” I bit my lip, nodding as my brows creased and my vision blurred, I didn’t hold back my cry as Eddie’s cock fucked me through my orgasm, grinning against my mouth as he moaned what a good girl I was.
Eddie’s solid demeanour faltered as he shuddered and sat up, pulling his cock from me as he sat back on his heels and rubbed his weeping head against my folds. I leaned up on my elbows as I felt his trickling wet seed paint my pussy, my cheeks blushed deeply as I watched Eddie jerk and flinch, his face screwed up handsomely as he drenched me in his orgasm.
“Fuck.” He groaned, leaning back down to pin me beneath him, he trapped my mouth with his as he blindly wiped between my legs with the rough fabric of his boxers, I was too fucked out and swimming in bliss to care or be embarrassment as he sat back and examined me, making sure he’d cleaned me all up.
I smiled sleepily as Eddie moved back to his side of the bed, crushing me to his chest as he pulled our sleeping bodies aligned perfectly flushed.
The rain drifted off into a soft drizzle as it finally gave up on the fight for tonight, and the thunder quietly hounded in the distance, moving on to terrorise a new place. Eddie’s arm tightened around me again as the serene depths of sleep pulled me under.

The impossibly loud screeching from the small, pink dial phone on my bedside table, broke through my thin veil of sleep rudely. I answered it without thinking, my mumbled hello croaking into the air as I cleared my throat.
Hey! How did last night go?
“Umm” I coughed as I sat up, muffling a gasp as the sheets tumbled around my waist, exposing my naked chest. I pinned the phone between my ear and my shoulder as I reached down to cover myself up, wiping the bleariness from my eyes as I tried to focus on Tracy’s question.
You never called me back yesterday
My eyes trailed across the thin sheets to Eddie’s sleeping form turned away from me, his messy hair spread across my pillow as he buried his face in it. The blinding fresh sunlight beat down through the window, dancing across his soft, naked back dotted with small freckles.
My stomach clenched and my cheeks reddened as I spotted the angry, thin scratches along his shoulders that matched my sharp nails. I gripped the phone tighter to my ear as Tracy asked if I was still there.
“Uhh last night was fine.”
The receiver slipped from my fingers as I jumped and scrambled to slam it back down as Eddie’s smug voice, thick and low with sleep, filled the quiet space on our end of the phone call.
“Only fine? That’s not what you screamed last night.”

hell hath no fury like someone on the internet being asked to self-reflect on whether or not their behavior contributes to larger and harmful cultural trends
no go on say it. tell me to my face that semi-privately talking about streamers fucking each other contributes to horrible real life situations. dont be a coward
i will gladly say that. i think that publicly posting sexually explicit or otherwise invasive stuff about complete strangers contributes to a harmful erosion of boundaries and basic respect. i dont think becoming a b-list internet celebrity means someone forfeits their right to be thought of as a full person instead of a fictional character. i think the fact that plenty of internet content creators have openly said that invasive fanbases have been detrimental to their mental health is proof enough that this is part of a larger trend that has unfortunate real-world implications.

What had once been not only Eddie’s place of business, but also a place of sanctuary for the two of you had now been overtaken by girlish laughter. Your eyes blinked back tears as you took in the sight before you, your best friend red-faced watching Chrissy Cunningham laugh heartedly at whatever joke he had cracked to her.
You shifted your weight as you continued to observe them quietly behind a tree. Your eyes never moving from his face. His love struck face. He had never looked at you like that.
Your throat bobbed as your mouth began to dry, your knuckles turning a bright white as you began to slowly make your way back to the field, away from the scene that played out in front of you.
God why did it hurt so much?
The following days had become a blur to you, your eyes no longer held their usual shine, your boisterous laugh no longer filled the Cafeteria after hearing a truly bad joke from Gareth, but most importantly you stopped sitting by Eddie’s side. No. Your usual spot now having been taken over by the girlish cheerleader who had now held Eddie’s attention 24/7.
Your jaw clenched, even through the blasting music that poured from your headphones you could still hear her. Dustin and Mike along with the rest of the group save two shared concerned glances with one another as they looked over your deflated person.
Their eyes turned back to Eddie, oblivious to your plight or their nonverbal gestures to ask what was wrong.
“You’re so funny Ed’s.”
The loud screech of metal on linoleum took everyone at the table by surprise, the neighboring tables also flinching at the sudden noise. You stood up abruptly, grabbing the food tray as well as your belongings and stalked off towards the end exit throwing the entire tray into the bin and roughly pushing past those who happened to be in your way.
“What’s up with her?” Eddie asked, the rest of the table shaking their heads by his undiscerning behavior.
Friday had come, though your usual excitement for ‘Hellfire’ was currently stifled. Sleep had become no friend to you with your skin pale and eyes bloodshot, you trudged into the school pushing past the crowd to make it to your locker.
As you stood there, rifling through your supplied your eyes caught the paper that was taped to the white popcorn walls.
“Under the Stars, 1985 Prom. Get your tickets now.”
You took in the poster, eyes scanning over the dark navy blue background that had been expertly dusted with golden stars. You turned back to your locker, a memory from what seemed not to long ago now becoming clear as day in your tired mind.
“Would you ever go to Prom Eddie?” You had asked as you sat seated on the foot of his bed as you absentmindedly looked through his cassettes. The metalhead scoffed, his skilled fingers plucking away at his guitar, the light sound of Judas Priest playing in the background.
“I wouldn’t be caught dead anywhere near that. What fun is there in dancing in a stuffy gym wearing a scratchy Tux and listening to shitty music?” You chuckled lightly at his chastising of the event.
“Why? Don’t tell me you want to go?” He inquired, a slight hint of attitude in his voice.
“Of course not. It was just a question. Plus, I’d rather spend my night right here with you Dork.”You had replied semi-affectionately, turning to see a smirk spreading across his face at your light joking manner.
“And I, with you.”
You were snapped from your memory at the slam of a locker, you shook her head and groaned at the sound of the first warning bell. Grabbing your things you headed to English.
The first two periods dragged on, the lessons for the day not worth your attention as you doodled into your notebook. Your ears perked at the sound of scuffing shoes and the closing of a door.
“Ah Mr.Munson so good of you to join us.” Mr.Reed said sarcastically, the elderly man looking over his glasses at Eddie with a scrutinizing look.
“I just love your class so much I just had to pop in Sir.” Eddie replied lightly bowing at the man who waved him off to his seat.
Normally his theatrics would have warranted a chuckle from you if only you hadn’t notice his gloss covered cheek and the glazed look in his eyes.
You clenched your fist, the mechanical pencil in your hand snapping at the pressure. The poor freshman next to you gulped, the boy moving his chair away from you slightly.
The bell for lunch rang, the hoard of kids noisily shuffling out from the room, the freshman next to you taking no time in running out the door. You grabbed your stuff, making your way to your locker. Haphazardly shoving your books into your locker, you stomped your way towards the cafeteria.
You were surprised at the sight of a Chrissy-less table, the chair that she had begun to occupy now empty. You sighed, placing your tray next to Dustin’s seat, the curly haired boy turning to you with a smile.
“Hi Y/N!” He said enthusiastically. You smiled back at him in reply watching as turned back to devouring the food in front of him. You watched as the others began to sit in their usuals your eyes scanning as Eddie walked up to the table a slightly unusual pep to his step.
“What’s got you in such a good mood?” Gareth asked before taking a sip of his soda. Eddie shook his head, plopping down into the chair.
“It’s my year guys. I told you.”
The boys looked amongst another with you pushing around the food that lay in front of you.
“Didn’t you say that last year?”
“And the year before that?”
“Yeah and I was full of shit then. But not this year this is my year I can feel it. 86 Baby.”
The guys chuckled, Dustin’s dying as he looked over at you. He opened his mouth to speak, Eddie beating him to it.
“I’m gonna ask Chrissy to Prom.”
A silence fell over the table, as you whipped your head to him. “What?” You sneered.
He nodded his head. “I’m finally gonna ask her.”
Dustin began to stutter out as he looked between you two, your hand flying up to silence him.
“You hate Prom. You hate it more than the damn conformists.” You scoffed out, Eddie looking at you with a furrowed brow.
“But Chrissy’s not like the-”
You caught him off. “Oh my god would you stop with that? Oooo Chrissy this Chrissy that, a month ago you wouldn’t catch yourself dead talking to a cheerleader.”
“Oh my god Y/N would you stop being such a raging bitch for once?” Everyone held their breaths.
Normally you would have replied with an equally phrased insult. You sat there mouth shut, your jaw shook with light tremors trying to contain any noises that might escape you tears began to fall down your face, jet black liner mixing in with the salty liquid.
You said nothing as you got up, not bothering to pick up your tray and stalked away from the table. The boys stared wide eyed at her disappearing figure before slowly turning to look at Eddie who’s attention was now on a bag of Pretzels.
“God what has been her problem lately? Can’t she be nice and supportive for once in her life?” Eddie ranted on. Gareth stared at him in disbelief.
“Are you kidding me dude?” He asked with a furrowed look before getting up and dumping his tray into the trash. Eddie looked with a puzzled look on his face.
“Jeez what is it? Shit on Eddie Day?” The remaining members looked down at their food, appetites long gone now refusing to look at or answer their sworn leader.
Your chest heaved violently with your sobs as you walked through the empty hallways, your wails reverberated off the wall in a haunted manner. You didn’t hear the hurried steps towards you nor did you register that you were now wrapped up in Gareth’s arms.
He shushed you gently, his hand smoothing the hairs on top of your head. Your hands grasping tightly at his flannel vest, your sobs muffled by his chest. He began to gently walk you farther into the hall, directing you towards the nurses office.
The elderly nurse turned in worry at the sound of an opening door followed by cries. She shot up quickly making her way to you, arms reaching for you.
“Oh sweetheart what’s wrong? Did you hurt yourself?” She looked you over, your face stained with tears, eyes puffy and cheeks caked with makeup.
She looked over to Gareth questioningly. “Can she get a pass to go home Miss June? She’s been having a bad week.”
She looked from you as you clung to her dress to Gareth before nodding her head. She directed you over to the beds sitting you down slowly.
“Now sit right here Sweetheart while I write up your pass. You can go now Gareth I have her from here. It’s almost the end of lunch.” He nodded his head before looking over to you with sadness in his eyes.
“I’ll check up on you later Y/N. I hope you feel better.” He slowly made his way out his eyes looking back over to you before heading down the hall shutting the door behind him.
You sat there. Numb yet hurting at the same time. It felt like there had been a hole ripped into your chest.
“Bitch” He had called you a bitch. You were use to the joking name calling between the two of you but never had he ever said anything to you with such malice as he did today.
You looked up as the nurse walked to you, handing you a pink slip. “Here’s your pass dear. If you continue to feel bad then give the front office a call and we’ll extend your pass, okay?”
You nodded at her, taking the slip from her as you stood up. Her eyes raked over you with worry before pulling you into a hug.
“Go home and get better dear.” She ushered you slowly to the door watching as you made your way to the exit.
You trudged to your car, fishing out the keys from your bag and getting in. You didn’t remember pulling up to your house or even driving for that matter. You pushed the door open, no “welcome homes” or “hi Y/N” greeting you only silence.
Closing and locking the door, you made your way upstairs to your room black boots thudding along the carpeted floor. You walked to the bathroom turning of the faucet, stripping yourself of your black attire stepping into the steaming shower. You washed the makeup from your face slight remnants of it left in black along your water line.
You stepped out, skin red and scalded before dragging yourself into your room, a small amount of light pouring through the corners of the red cloth that hung from your window basking the room in a dark red hue.
You pulled a shirt over your body along with some underwear before slipping into your sheets.
Your body began to wrack with sobs as you curled into yourself slipping into sleep, wishing that you would never wake up.
I hope you all are crying and gripping your hair in anguish. Worry not there will be a second part. If you wish to be tagged in it, reply in the comments.

Part 1
Autumn was lingering in the air, fresh and loving, gentle as a lover's touch, but no hand clasped hers as she strolled through the rows of laughing and chatting people. Vendors at the booths were shouting, urging the people to draw closer, to taste the dried fruit and the popped corn.
Fallen leaves, yellow as molten gold and red as crimson escaping a deep wound coloured the wind. The hem of the dress slightly longer than the brownish coat, danced, swayed back and forth in the gentle breeze. The hair did not stick to the lips, which could only speak fondly and tenderly. Startled, her eyes widened. No gunshot echoed. Agony expanded in her heart. Desperately, Y/N searched for an injury, but crimson did not seep through the white button-down adorned with a large ribbon. Y/N rooted into the ground, turned into a tree of hundreds of years, millennia and decades. The faces were familiar, summoned tears and banned memories. Fear feasted on her heart, swallowed her body and mind. For a moment, Y/N thought she could not breathe, yet her chest rose and fell rapidly. A low prayer escaped her lips. What was I thinking, Y/N thought to herself, felt like a fool for genuinely believing she could avoid her family. She hoped it was a terrible dream, wished to wake up, but the pain in her chest deepened and Y/N realised she was not asleep, caught in the webs of a spider.
Gazes met and voices called out, called her by her name, told her to come closer, to stay and not escape. She heard despair in the breaking voice and the need to help sprouted in her soul, remembering the children were not responsible for anything the parents had done, what the fathers had said in seething anger. Inhaling the fresh evening air, Y/N adjusted the belt, hugging her body, and repressed the desire to slide her hand over the barely noticeable bulge in a soothing gesture to calm her mind.
"Aunt Y/N." Karl sang joyfully.
Swiftly he ran, beamed and laughed, missed his aunt dearly after the countless moon of departure, and pulled her into a hug. The fear faded away and slowly she knelt in front of Karl. He clasped her trembling hands, and it soothed the pain and healed the unhealed. His eyes inspected the woman with kindness, and Karl talked, spoke like a roaring waterfall, needed to tell Y/N everything that had happened in the last months and it made her smile.
Charlie did not make a move, stood tall and firm, had heard too much about his aunt and stared in distaste at Karl, talking to Y/N as if nothing had happened. Disgust flared in his eyes, ragged like fire, screamed like wood swallowed by flames fed by air and folded his arms in front of his chest.
The smile was gone with the wind. Her heart cracked and the loathing within his eyes shattered what Karl had cured. She swallowed, glad Charlie had no weapon in his possession, saw it in his gaze, cold, murderous, ruthless, something Y/N was convinced children's eyes could not bear, but she was wrong.
"We're lost. We were walking to the swings." continued the boy, babbled.
Y/N nodded.
"Where are your parents? Shouldn't you be home? It's getting late." Y/N interjected in a motherly tone, stern yet lovely with a hint of fear
Shaking her head, she tried to find her brothers, unable to comprehend how the fathers could leave the children alone, but the men were nowhere to be found.
Ashamed, Karl looked into the distance, did not want to answer the question, searched for the right words, but he realised it would be better to speak the truth, couldn't find a plausible explanation. Mischief mingled with remorse. Y/N had seen this expression hundreds of times and a strange warm sensation causing her heart to beat quicker brought a smile to her lips, recalling her childhood in the almost all-boys household of pranks and shenanigans.
"Karl? Don’t lie to me. I will not punish you; I understand, I was once your age and believe me you cannot imagen how often I snuck out with your dad and uncles.” Y/N spoke.
His eyes sparkled.
"But sneaking out is bad and I hope you know it, young boy, and you are lucky that nothing happened to you." Y/N swiftly added.
Memories returned, and Y/N dared to close her eyes, remembered the forgotten, the evenings she secretly disappeared from the house with her brothers to sneak around town, to visit the bar in boyish cloth so nobody could notice a woman was among the Shelby's. The sun faded as the smile on her face, and the dark clouds curled above the fair and obscured the beautiful memories.
"I can take you to the estate if you wish." Y/N breathed. "But I can understand if you don't want. I really can." she continued.
The words were not directed at Karl holding her right hand, but at the fierce boy whose eyes pierced her soul like a double-edged sword.
"We will be fine on our own. We don't need your help. Father told me why you left." Charlie sneered.
The words hit her like a poisoned arrow, but she didn't fall to the ground. The wound was aching, but the pain did not cloud her mind, saw clearly and advanced with Karl by her side. The boy clenched his hands into fists, braced himself, and he dared not to reconsider his father's words, to question them or twist them in a different way. Charlie grimaced and Y/N thought her brother was standing in front of her, telling her to get lost, to crawl back out of the hole she had come out of, but Y/N smiled.
Karl led the way, frowned, and noticed his aunt wasn't following him and time seemed not to pass, but the clouds were wandering.
"Come, I will take you to your father. He is certainly worried about you, Charlie. I don't care that you think I betrayed your family. I did nothing and if Thomas had listened to me for a moment, he would know the truth. Thomas did not let me speak as you do this very moment. You can curse me, but I will not leave you alone and you, as his son, should know best. I don't think I need to explain this matter to you." Y/N spoke in a calm tone.
"Come on Charlie, Aunt Y/N/N will take us home. She won't tell your dad," Karl interjected, but the words did not reach the boy wrapped and sheltered in a dark aura.
Charlie wrinkled, chuckled bitterly, and couldn't comprehend how Karl could be so close to the traitor, the treacherous woman, a serpent lurking in the grass.
"Okay." Charlie gave in, but he did not let his guard down, stayed prepared.
"Come on, Charlie, give me your hand. I don't want to lose you in the crowd." Y/N spoke.
“I am not a little boy.”, “Even a big boy can get lost, Charlie.” Y/N reasoned.
Charlie flinched, didn’t offer his hand to the stranger, not wanting to, tried to get away from her as quickly as possible, was disgusted by her mere presence, but when the eyes met, he thawed and hesitantly reached for her hand and clasped it tightly.
"My car is a little further away from here, come we must hurry.", "Of course and are you coming in too?" Karl asked.
Her heart shattered, wished to say yes, missed her siblings dearly, but she couldn’t, not after what had occurred.
"No Karl, I can't. It wouldn't be a good idea, but thank you very much for your offer, but I must decline. I have to hurry afterwards." Y/N answered.
No words fell, and an almost pleasant silence descended. Y/N drew the two boys away from the crowd, holding onto their hands, refusing to let go of them and merely shaking her head at the question of whether they could look at the horses. Charlie eyed his aunt dressed in a coat and a long dress in dark green hues critically. Calmness flooded his mind, saw her gentle eyes, the joy and happiness, but he hesitated to question his father's words in any way.
"I suppose you are married; you have a ring on your finger," Charlie said.
Thomas can't deny that you're his son, Y/N thought, and the grin on her lips was the answer Charlie needed.
"I don't remember a man asking one of your brothers for your hand in marriage," Charlie said.
Y/N was speechless, was a woman of many words, unfearful of guns and blood, a Shelby, but she couldn't speak but remembered whose blood was flowing through his veins.
"In this case, it was an exception and my beloved, most importantly, asked me for my hand in marriage. He is a dear, a very kind man and I am glad to have him by my side. We met a few years ago. I have always been fond of him, but he eventually asked me to join him for a walk around town and then we visited a museum in London.” Y/N revelled in the wonderful memories of romantic dinners and long walks beneath the starry sky.
"Aunty Y/N/N, where do you live? I wanted to visit you, but no one would tell me where you are. I want to send you letters. Dad said you are in London, but London is a big city." Karl asked.
"I am looking forward to reading your letters, Karl. I gave your father my address when I moved to London, and if you ask him kindly, he will certainly tell you the address." Y/N explained.
The sun escaped the fangs of the gloomy clouds and the rays were caressing the faces. Karl laughed, excited to be back in his room to write a letter to his aunt, not noticing how she tensed as her dark blue vehicle appeared behind the next corner. The unavoidable drew ever nearer, and she longed for an embrace, for her husband, for loving words to ease the fear, but her husband was not among the many men in dark suits.

A/N: Yeah so I thought I wasn’t going to be able to finish this until Wednesday, but I was surprisingly able to write. This is the very first time I am writing a fan fictions, so I’m begging on my knees for you to be nice and respectful. This first chapter is really going to be backstory and setting the scene. And please keep in mind Tangerine’s accent, it makes the reading fun. It’s also unedited. Happy reading! :)
