“One of these days Armie’s gonna blow something up and it’ll take a lot more than my usual cryptic excuses to get us out of it.”
Kaylee had been excused from school for a few days to travel to New York for her grandfather’s funeral, meaning when she returned to Redwood, things were in flames from some raging party- and she’d missed it completely. There was so much drama, people not speaking to each other, hookups that were gossiped around the halls, and Kaylee had no idea what all of it was about- which was actually pretty normal. She had, in typical Kaylee style, procrastinated on all the projects she’d gotten extensions on, forcing her to set her alarm for an ungodly hour of the morning before classes started to work at them- although it really just meant someone was shaking her awake since she’d fallen asleep curled up on the floor of the library. “I was having a good dream, where I didn’t have school and was a billionaire, gimme five more minutes,’ The tiny brunette grumbled, swatting the person’s hand away as she blinked, dark eyes bleary and narrowed into slits.
Anda was not a morning person. This was evidenced by how many trips to starbucks he’d made and it wasn’t even dinner yet. Every year he told himself he wouldn’t take early morning classes, and every year he did it anyways. He’d really never learn.
He was hauling ass across campus to get there early enough to get the seat closest to the window-his favorite for dissociating- before one of the other madmen who showed up stupidly young in the morning got it.
Course, seeing ids half asleep all over the place wasn’t out of the ordniary. Still, he couldn’t neglect his mothering gut and carefully approached a sleepy Kaylee. “Uh hey, you ok?”
Her little glare send needles to his stomach and the hair on the back of his neck stood up on end slightly.
“Yikes, sorry, I just.. doesn’t seem comfortable to sleep on the library floor ‘s all.”

That’s not a ‘stabbable’ offence! ” “ PERISH! ” “ There are time I genuinely wish I wasn’t alive, but right now, I’m glad I’m alive. ” “ Those are your last words— pathetic. ” “ With my last breath, I want to be high. ” “ Tommy the tomato plant was too young to die. ” “ I’ll drink to that— I’m sorry it’s been such a hard day for you. ” “ My funeral? It’ll be proper fancy: a bottle of whisky— the good stuff, my body in a ditch, and a pack of matches. Cheap viking funeral. ” “ But it’s such a sad way to go. ” “ I hope you die, sad and alone, knowing you could’ve had everything if you tried. ” “ He’s dead, get over it. ” “ I can’t just “get over it!” She was so much more than you’ll ever know. ” “ Being immortal must be hard, nothing you can do to die. Sucks. ” “ Humans are weak, they don’t even make good knife blocks. ” “ Just do it. ” “ I don’t care. Pull it. ”

Sometimes studying is so difficult, but then I try to refocus on small pleasures like coffee and go from there.
finleywestbrook:
The male waited patiently until his photo had been taken, only giving the odd nod in the direction of people that were shouting his name before he realized that the male was done and now talking to him . “Oh no worries.” The male shrugged as he looked back at the other before he paused for a second. “Yea there’s a party… you can come if you want, I mean everyone else at the school goes, you might as well show your face right? Just think of the year book photo’s you could get. I’ll introduce you to the other quiet people that go…”
Blink-Blink. Did.. did he just include Anda in a thing? What?
It wasn’t as if the boy had never been to a party before, they were just certainly not to the scale of parties often thrown by students here. Those were an entirely different kind of thing with chaos he couldn’t imagine going down all the time.
It would be a good opportunity to photograph them just being social- everyone knew the forced and posed pictures the faculty asked for were exactly that; fake and not the way the students interacted with one another in the slightest.
He glanced at the camera as if it would tell him what to do and then shrugged, hoping he wouldn’t puke out of sudden nerves running rampant. “I.. I guess I could go for at least a little while.”

finleywestbrook:
“what could have possibly been more interesting than watching the reds kick ass…again?” he asked with a raised brow, it seemed like most of the school and the surrounding area came out to see the games and he never understood people that didn’t love football. “but yea being in the spot light a lot is just kind of part of the whole deal these days you know for one reason or the other and you just sort of get used to it.” he shrugged a little as he stood ready for the photo of him to be snapped.
He didn’t really know if he was supposed to answer that or not, but Anda was well aware of status quo and the likelihood that he earnestly say things he considered more important was quite low. Finley had much better things to do. Some of those things being the girls that could never clear the stars from their eyes around him.
Taking the picture (well, taking a few to be sure of a good quality result), he put the camera back into his bag and put that onto his shoulder.
“Thanks.” He said, giving him a nod. “I’m guessing there’s a celebratory party you’re off to now? Have a good one.”
finleywestbrook:
He wouldn’t lie to anyone that asked, he had no idea who most of the people were, sure he knew people at school but it was a pretty big place even for a boarding school and if he hadn’t slept with you or his friends didn’t like to make your life hell then there was a good chance that Finley wouldn’t know you even went to Redwood. There were exceptions for people that he classed as real friends but they were few and far between and he had better things to do with his time that was for sure. Spying the kid with the camera he had no idea who he was and if he hadn’t been wearing the typical uniform that most of the students were currently stood in he’d have questioned if he even went to Redwood at all. “You have no idea what happened do you?” The male asked with a small raise of his brows, he could tell when people knew football and when they didn’t, he’d loved the sport long enough. “But sure…I’ve never been one to shy away from the camera even if there already a million photos of me ready for that book.”
He paused before responding; it must be obvious that he’d not been there. But, he doubted this kid gave a single shit about it, so he’d simply just roll with it and shrug.
“Tonight was busy.” He answered, readjusting the camera once more. “I don’t really pick who we photograph, but you’re in the spotlight enough that this probably doesn’t bother you anymore, huh?”

”come on, i can’t go to the party alone.”
“you deserve so much better.”
“here, let me help.”
“can i sleep over? my parents are fighting again.”
“you don’t have to deal with everything alone.”
“how about i come over and help you throw away all those clothes you’ve been hoarding?”
“you know s/he’s just going to hurt you.”

armandmartin:
“New year, new me, cher,” he said. “I’ve decided that I’m turning over a new leaf.” Of course, he wasn’t really—Armie was a creature of habit, set in his ways at Redwood. It was highly doubtful that he would be capable of changing at all, not until his entire life changed
He pursed his lips, still looking at his roommate before he looked back at the ceiling, flopping back on the bed with his arms splayed out. “I’m miserable. I think it’s time that you kill me now, so I don’t infect you with my depression.”
Armie wrinkled his nose. “Listen, all I know is that this guy never keeps track of his wallet and his dad is a Senator with a lot of mistresses. I bet he’s rolling and he wouldn’t even notice if it was missing.”
He laughed, shaking his head at even the notion that Armie was a person who could just drop old habits and pick up some new traits. Maybe he didn’t help, by exacerbating the more... not positive ones, but Anda never really agreed to anything dangerous. He had fun, egging Armie on and having him do the same, but he himself was set in his ways of trying to protect and help everyone.
“I’d love to help you out but I think they’d kick me out for murder. Sorry bud.”
Standing up, the boy stretched with a long drawn out groan. He wasn’t even sure if it felt satisfying or if it made his achy bones feel worse. Somewhere in the middle, he supposed.
“Come on, let’s do something productive. Like helping him track that wallet of his.”
