I decided to attempt mermay since I didn’t do it for past few years and I actually had a blast painting this. I hope that I’ll be able to paint a few mermay themed pieces, but I’ll see how will that go :’D Like usually, done in Photoshop CC with Wacom Cintiq 27QHD. Enjoy!

This is absolutely gorgeous work.
I hate Facebook
Is anyone else hating on Facebook like I am these days? Look -- I get it. There are a lot of people who are trying to profit off of the situation going on. We all know it. Yet, I’ve noticed more and more there is a loooong list of things you cannot post on facebook. I’m just really sick of it. I finally found a product I made that I wanted to promote and it wouldn't allow me to. But both Facebook and Instagram keep advertising to me to use their paid advertising. Well guess what....I don’t want to give them my money. I don’t want these platforms to tell me what I can and cannot post. I don’t want to be told as a small business owner that my products are taking advantage of people, when I’m selling an essential item. Face masks are an ESSENTIAL ITEM.
What do you think? Love to hear your thoughts
Alright! Let’s open these Arteza gouache paints and see how they compare to Windsor & Newton, QOR, and Schmincke Hordam. I can’t wait!

We all work a little too hard these days. Take a moment to let your hair down. Reflect on a moment in your past and appreciate what it took to get you where you are now.

Creating these abstract cityscapes. The first one is of the Brooklyn bridge and the second is Dublin.

I don’t celebrate Halloween or promote it. I just want to start with that. I did, however, take an illustration class that is having us draw the human form and skeletal structure. I decided to take my sketch this morning and add some watercolor. I loved the rough look and textured feel it gave my sketch. It really added some dimension and form to the drawing. I wanted to share it because it turned out to my liking. I loved using red. It added a little something. I did a secondary sketch with more warm flesh tones and greens. It turned out pretty cool too.

Meta-punk on my art
I just wanted to share Meta-punk with you. They wrote an article about my steampunk watercolor art back in July 2016. Their blog is totally worth checking out and has a lot of awesome topics on steampunk culture.

New painting “Metamorphose”
A woman’s lover is turned into a tree and she weeping crawls up into the tree and becomes one with him. Their branches grow together and their love is sealed eternally. Beautiful story told in this greek tragedy.

I’m taking an illustration course this semester through Otis. It’s turning out to be a great class. I already feel like I’m grasping what I lost over the years that I didn’t study the human form. I’m excited to apply what I have learned to some of my paintings.
