So, I got a bunch of hemp yarn to make a sweater out if and I wanted to see how washing would go, so I made three swatches! . Top: No washing. It's stiff and crunchy, and the stitches are all wonky-looking and loose. 0/10, do not recommend wearing as a sweater (or any garment, really). Good for reusable shopping bags and the like. . Middle: Machine wash cold, gentle cycle; tumble dry low. Less stiff, still a bit crunchy, but the stitches have sorted themselves out and look much better. 5/10, maybe wear, maybe use as a display piece. . Bottom: Machine wash hot, normal cycle; tumble dry hot. SOFT!!!
