Not to find one's way around a city does not mean much. But to lose one's way in a city, as one loses one's way in a forest, requires some schooling. Street names must speak to the urban wanderer like the snapping of dry twigs, and little streets in the heart of the city must reflect the times of day, for him, as clearly as a mountain valley.

An exercise of observation inspired by the photography of Bernhard and Hilla Becher, where the same typologies and objects are photographed in different places but in the same way. A hundred different lamp posts where photographed at different places and hours, but attempting to keep a uniform image throughout the series.

Things come apart

An exercise of understanding the parts that make up a whole. A typewriter was torn apart to its basic composing elements and arranged in a logical order, to easily understand what elements go on top or beside another. Later, it was digitally drawn to create a lasting image of the different components that make up the object.
