What kind of round canvas do you use? They seem to be pretty hard to find.
Here in Majorca there are a few round canvases in a Art supplies shop, so I bought it there. Sorry, I don’t know the brand name!
How do you make round frames?
Sorry, I don’t know because I don’t frame my artworks personally, instead I go to a framer. But I’ve never seen a round frame before.
You are insanely talented! I swear, one day your art will be up on my living room wall *.* lemme just get an apartment and money first
Hahahaha!! Thank you very much!!Sure, don’t worry. Go get that money and that cool apartment first ;) I’ll go looking for my country house with sea views :)Thanks again!

Oil painting on canvas, 41x33cm
This is a work in progress. I was going to post “what do I do with you? (talking to the painting, obviously). And then, suddenly, after a few days without looking at this painting I knew clearly how to finish it. So tomorrow I’m gonna finish it! :)
Hope to show it to you in a few days!

Do you recommend varnishing all paintings and whats your process/ what do you recommend for varnishing? I've never varnished my work and im intrigued as it seems like the right thing to do Thank you
Yes, I do recommend varnishing all paintings as varnish protects them from external things like sun, dust, dirt, etc. It also protects the paint and makes colors pop up.
What do I recommend? First try a painting you don’t like as much so you won’t worry too much lol. No, seriously. I recommend that you at least wait a whole month until the painting completely dries (6 months is preferably) and then you have a two options:1- Apply a removable varnish. (I use this one)
2- Apply an unremovable varnish.
Then, you also have three types of varnish (that I know of): Matte, Satin (the one I used) and gloss. As you can guess, the Gloss varnish is exactly that, a glossy finish. The matte isn’t as “shiny” and the Satin should be something in between. I say “should be” because I just used the satin varnish, haven’t tried the other two.
About the process, it’s really simple.
1- Put the painting in horizontal.
2- With a clean cloth, carefully clean all dust and dirt from the painting.
3- Shake the varnish and put it in a container (you can also apply the varnish directly to the painting and then spread it with the brush. That’s what I usually do).
4- With a large brush spread the varnish everywhere on the painting. Then go from right to left, and up and down.
5- With the brush remove the remaining varnish of the painting.
6- Make sure everything is shiny and that there aren’t parts with more varnish than others.
7- Let it dry in horizontal without touching it for at least 15 minutes.
8- That’s it. Once the painting is dry it’s all done! :)
Hope it helped!
Andrea.
