“Well I suppose I can’t really say no to a muffin. So I think maybe muffins? Or maybe both?
“Both would always be good.” Andrew chuckled, looking over at her. “What kind are you thinking?”

“Well I suppose I can’t really say no to a muffin. So I think maybe muffins? Or maybe both?
“Both would always be good.” Andrew chuckled, looking over at her. “What kind are you thinking?”
joanweston:
“Hey if you mention that to your dad. Maybe just maybe I will get the break.” She chuckled, “ But thanks though. It’s fine. I honestly don’t mind. Molly’s been a great help lately.” Joan told him grabbing her things.
“I can. Just say the word.” He chuckled lightly, Andy waited for her to gather up her things. “I’m really glad that you have Molly helping you. That is always good. Where are you thinking about going to eat?”
daniellesmarshall:
“Oh, I.. .thought you guys were close?” Dani shrugg. “Maybe… if I run into them.” Sometimes she wondered if she should just not bother when clearly Jessica didn’t want her help.
“We used to be..” Andrew shrugged a little bit. “They would be your best bet. Cause I haven’t seen her in awhile. We drifted apart.”
lizzie--ryder:
Another tiring shift had Lizzie ready to lay down and forget the world but hearing Andrew call out still brought a smile. Things might not feel the same or be as easy as they’d been but. He still gave her butterflies and made her happy.. when he wasn’t making her sad, anyway. “Yep. Just me..” She took in the sight of him in only a towel, wondering how it could still have such an impact seeing him like that. “I want to.” Lizzie bit her lip, following the trail of a water droplet. “I think I can get someone to cover my shifts.”
Andrew strongly believed that they would figure it out. They had to because of how much they have been through. He was trying his best to fix things between them, the shit that he had and caused and for what? Jessica, god he had been so stupid. He hated himself for making her sad. That was the last thing that he ever wanted. “Good. I was hoping it was you.” He stated as he made his way over to her. “And I was hoping you would say that also. How about we leave on Friday? I got us a nice hotel away from Baberton. How does London sound?”
elise-ramsey:
She nodded, “ Sure. I’m not really that hungry but a small bite to eat would be fine.”
“Even a scone or a muffin. Both are small which is what I’m trying to decide between the two.”
joanweston:
“Not a problem” She said as the phones started ringing again. “Sure, let me see if Molly will need anymore help. The phones aren’t ringing off the hook so much anymore.” She chuckled softly.
Andrew nodded his head, looking over at her for a second. “Take all the time you need. I’ll be here.” He chuckled a little bit. “You deserve a break for putting up with my father.”
@lizzie--ryder
“Lizzie?” He called out as he stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel. Wrapping it around himself before he moved out of the bathroom. Andrew had heard the front door so naturally he thought it was her. “Babe? That you.” But one could never know in this town. Honestly he was still working on fixing things between them, he knew he had fucked up and got caught up in the past and she didn’t deserve that. Not after everything that happened between them. She had stuck by his side for the whole Leanne bullshit and everything since. “So I was thinking that we could get away this weekend if you want and you are able to.”
daniellesmarshall:
“Not too much. I just… I was worried about her, that’s all. Thought maybe you’d know what was going on with her.”
“I wish I knew. She doesn’t talk to me much these days. You might want to ask my father or her mother.”
daniellesmarshall:
“Yeah, yeah… I was just wondering if you’d seen much of Jessica lately.”
“No not really. What about you?”
@andrew–bates
“Oh, hey…” She offered a smile as she moved to pass him but then she stopped and turned to touch his arm. “Andrew, wait, do you have a sec?”
“Hey..” He sighed a little bit, when she started to move passed him. But when she touched his arm, he stopped. “Yeah, of course. Is everything okay?”
elise-ramsey:
“Too many memories. This is where Zach and I first met a year ago…” She told him while looking at the event in front of them.
“Right. Okay, how about we go and get something to eat instead?” He offered, looking over at her.
joanweston:
She nodded her head, “ I’m sure he’ll take time for you. He’s just not taking of these calls or seeing any of his customers.” Joan mentioned before calling him to let him know his son was in the office. “ You can go in by the way.”
Andrew nodded his head a little bit. “Thanks, Joan.” He waited, shoving his hands into his pockets. Once Joan said that he could got back, he nodded his head. “Thanks again.” He moved into his father’s office. About fifteen minutes later, he stepped out. “So do you want to go and get lunch?”
“Welcome to Mr. Bates office, I’ll be with you in one second.” She told the person who came into the building. It was one of her busiest days and she was the only one working the reception desk. @secretsummerstarters
"Yeah, okay.” He stated, looking over at her for a moment. Honestly he was just looking for his dad. Maybe some lunch or something with him but if he was busy then that would be okay. “I’m just wondering if my dad is available actually.”
She knew the carnival was in town, but Elise was avoiding it at all costs. It was her and Zach had first met. And she didn’t want those memories coming back. She’s trying to move on from it all, even though it’s hard to do. “I’ll probably go to the carnival next time it’s here.” She said to herself. @secretsummerstarters
“Why don’t you want to go this time?” Andrew questioned, sitting down next to her. He wasn’t sure if Lizzie and him were going or not. If not he was fine with that.
“Well more crap in the paper.” Andrew mumbled, looking it over. // @secretsummerstarters
“Oh, sorry!” Abi hadn’t realised anybody was waiting. She’d been hiding out in the back room of the King’s Head during a lull in customers after a mild panic attack. “I didn’t hear anybody come in.” She continued, moving up to stand in front of them at the bar. “What can I get for you?”
“It’s okay. Just me.” Andrew stated, looking over at her for a moment. A small smile appeared on his face. Moving over to sit at the bar. “How about a whiskey or scotch?”
lizzie--ryder:
There was so much wrong lately that she sometimes wondered what others would do in her position. Crawl in a hole maybe? That wasn’t Lizzies style but she could understand why someone might want to. Get really, really drunk and on a regular basis? Anything to avoid thinking and feeling like shit. She missed feeling connected to Andrew. Knowing where they stood. Lizzie wondered when the end would come because the last… however long it’d felt a lot like he’d been trying to get her to dump him. So it’d be her decision and he’d be off the hook. So, him showing up with flowers and saying he wanted to take her out threw her. “Really? I mean, thanks.” Her smile was real as she looked at him and then took the flowers.
There was a lot, and Andrew wanted to fix things. He fucked up. Big time fucked up by questioning his own feelings. If he had just followed his heart instead of listening to his head. They wouldn’t be in this position now. This was all on him and he knew that. So now he was trying anything and everything to make it right again. Even if he didn’t deserve it.
Andrew honestly missed their connection. Those feelings were still there, he still felt them. They just seemed lost at the moment. He didn’t want to break up with her actually. He just wanted to work on being them again. Nodding his head while looking over at her. “I do. Yes, if you want to go out to dinner with me.” He looked back at her, smiling as he handed the flowers over to her. “These are for you. Your favorites.” He still remembered and he always would.
