“Can't say that I have. It's not really my kind of movie if I’m being honest.” Maybe it was because he hadn’t had enough coffee this morning but the idea of everyone being so damn positive all the time and constant hugging sounded like an absolute nightmare to him right now. “So if everyone was so happy, what’s the main conflict of that movie? Do they just sing and dance for the entirety of the movie?”

It’s hard to…turn off, I guess.” Peter laughed before flashing him a broader smile, fidgeting a bit in place. “Uh…well, let’s see. About a month ago, I caught the last fifteen minutes of some TV movie. Something Christmas-y. Everyone hugged, and it was snowing.”

“Yeah? I guess we all have that to a certain extend. What is it that you're doing?” Andrew certainly knew about not being able to switch off work mode at times, though his reasons for doing so were admittedly a bit different. “A Christmas themed movie in the summer? They should fire whoever was responsible for that programming decision. I know Christmas time seems to start earlier every year, but that's beyond overkill.”

“Unless it's nighttime of course.” Andrew murmured before realizing that maybe, squashing hopeful imagery when someone had a miserable week seemed like an unnecessarily pessimistic thing to do. “Gas leak, huh? That sucks, we're you at least able to move within one building?”

“I know I sound like a broken record, but spending a bit of it on cheaper food might be worth a consideration. As long as he makes sure that you don't starve to death once you run out of peanuts, where he lives kinda is of secondary importance. Congrats though, that’s a pretty big step.”

I feel like it might be a weird thing to do.” Regardless, Peter was already standing in the ticket line, seemingly needing to offer an explanation for his presence. “But I have a one-year-old. “Probably a bit, but why care what others may think? There’s nothing wrong with wanting to watch a movie.” Andrew shrugged. He was standing in line by himself, so he really was in no position to judge. “When was the last time you watched a movie with actual real life actors in it?”

The small bang created by his fist and the wooden high-top table, was subtle enough to most likely grasp anyone’s attention. “Listen, – I’ve been here just shy of a week and I’ve already had to move into another apartment, buy a new phone ‘cause I lost the other in some cab, and I was already admitted to the hospital for a concussion —,” Gavin’s eyes hovered around until they landed on the individual starring back at him. “Oh, sorry. ‘Nd how was your day?”

Andrew looked up when a noise disrupted the relative silence of the place. “Well, at least it can only get better from here on out. Why'd you have to move apartments this soon?”

Andrew shrugged, generally not all that knowledgeable about pets. “Unless the pancake is as big as her, it should be alright, I guess.”

They were being so sweet and cute right now, and Finn knew if someone outside the situation were to watch them, they’d probably think they were being treacly or something. But Finn didn’t care; he was just so happy in this moment. “It’s definitely both of those things,” Finn admitted, “plus how we can have dirty sex and then watch movies and videos of cute animals on YouTube. And whenever something interesting happens, the first person I always want to tell is you. And it’s just everything about who you are, Andrew.” Smiling at his boyfriend, Finn kissed the man, a little more deeply this time, and then Finn said, “I’m glad I put you in such a happy mood, babe. I like seeing you so happy, but I like the grumpy you too. It’s kind of adorable actually.”

Andrew grinned at that. “Shit, you didn’t have to give me the whole list.” He usually had a hard time believing people when they talked about him like that, but this warmed his heart, considering that he felt very similarly about Finn. There was a small voice in his head that questioned whether Finn really knew who Andrew really was, the Andrew who threw himself into work to avoid issues and rather lied to someone than showing his deepest vulnerabilities. But he quickly swatted that thought away. This was a happy moment and he didn’t want to ruin his enjoyment of it by over-thinking what he might nor might not do to screw this up. So he just kissed his boyfriend, reveling in how wonderful it felt to be near Finn. “Well good, because that's something you're stuck with. Coffee and orgasms only have a very limited effect on that one.” He smiled at his boyfriend then. “So, breakfast? Or is my boyfriend going to carry me back to bed? That was your initial plan after all.”

Ian left his company’s building, balancing his briefcase, a stack of books and a cup of coffee. It had been a shit day from beginning to end, but he supposed that’s what happened when you went in with a killer hangover. Then again, nowadays he was hungover more often than not. “Oh shit,” he gasped as he ran into someone. He managed to hold tight to the books and briefcase but the coffee fell to the ground and splattered all over him and victim of his bump. “Sorry, I’ll have that dry cleaned,” he promised as he set down the briefcase and wiped his hand on his slacks.

“Fuck! Sorry.” Andrew exclaimed as he collided with another person. The man’s coffee only spilled a little over the lower part of his dark jeans, so he quickly shook his head when the other offered to pay for dry cleaning. “No, it’s fine, not really something that needs dry cleaning. Pity about the coffee though. Is your stuff okay?” He asked, looking at the man’s books and briefcase.

“My friends call me crazy for never wanting to leave my house, but went outside today for the first time in six days, and I was harrassed by two homeless women, dropped my lunch on the pavement, and almost cracked my phone. I guess you could look at that last one and say it was a good thing, but that’s a lil too optimistic for me.”

“I guess that’s the accumulated bad luck of the last six days unloading on you at the same time. I don’t think I’ve ever been harassed by homeless people in all my years growing up here. Was the lunch salvageable?”
