Forgot to post these here. Working on designs for my bird people, the Aravi. Decided to switch to mood pieces to get the right atmosphere first. Still a little off from the exact feel I want, but that’s the fun of exploring, right? Cool, okay, back to work. BYYYEEEeeeee.

Catherine Williams, or Williams,  is actually my take on a character in an existing overwatch ‘photo.’  She’s the one furthest to the right: 

I decided to make a character who had to make her own way after the fall. In the process of finding a new home, she would find a family in Wojtek, Farad, Penelope, and Moira. Also in my hc she’s bros with McCree and the guy on the left (more on that in a later post (god, I am trash) ). Williams came way too close to other heroes’ kits as I designed her, but I managed to give her a super cool niche of her own. She specializes in thwarting ranged units with her ability to reduce their damage when she hits them. In addition she only takes regular damage to the head if behind cover, so she is hard to flush out. Her edge is blunted by dive, but her teammates can handle intruders for her.  Her buddy TalonDAR (pun) can give her a second angle to view from as well as intel (cooldowns, ultimate uptime) which fits with her role as commander and shotcaller for the group Nocturnal.  You can see the art bigger at my artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/61Nd6 And yes, she is named for Cathay Williams if you caught it. :3

I feel like defense heroes could use more love. Smolder is here for those of you who love playing defense mechanics. Or just hunky Indian mens. (or is that just me....) Smolder came from a design for a shepherding character who uses plasma fields to corral enemies where he wants them instead of corgis. He can also absorb energy attacks, because I eat too many hammer fires when I play, so I’m salty. He was a lot of fun to work on, both play style wise and design. A nice toothy dark witty oaf. I did it.
