... Shinichi...
A Story of Opening Eyes | Shinichi & Konoha
Tired. An overwhelming sense of sleepiness had been overwhelming him since he left his hospital. People walking by, noises of the city, the humid air trapped by the huge buildings rising everywhere around, and naturally the whole walking around aimlessly. While his body didn't exactly feel the exhaustion, Konoha's mind was becoming a mess, and he was falling asleep right there and then as he walked.
No, this wouldn't do. Falling over like that wasn't going to get him anywhere. Instead the albino found a nice spot in a side alley, and soon after he had sat himself down in the shade, a slow breathing left him, indicating that he was already fast asleep.
Friendly Imposer
"My sandwich?" Momo looked down to her meal with a questioning look in her eyes. For some reason the first idea that crossed her mind was that something was wrong with her sandwich and that maybe he was seeing something that she had failed to see. She had leaned back in her chair to look at it and she had even leveled her head with the table all to get different perspectives, but she wasn’t seeing anything out of the ordinary. And that was when it suddenly dawned on her. "Oh you’re hungry!" If it were anyone else, the boy would have possibly been turned away or scolded for such behavior. However Momo was quite different and she wasn’t about to do something as selfish as hog a meal no matter how delicious it looked to her. Using her feet, the loving lieutenant kicked the chair across from her further out for him.. “Please sit down, you can join me if you’d like?” She wasn’t sure if he wanted to sit with her so she posed it as a question to leave it up to him. At the same time she began to divide her sandwich and fries in half. "I probably wouldn’t be able to finish this all on my own anyways so you are more than welcome to have half."
Was he imposing? Probably. Did he even for a second stop to rethink his actions? No. Knowing little about common sense and with his stomach currently being the driving force, Konoha accepted the offer that had been granted him purely because of his own unintended stubbornness. This girl was kind though - he had already decided that he liked her, but then again Konoha was not a person who knew of 'hate' and 'loathing'. His genuine curiosity towards the world and its people was far stronger than any needs to dislike what it threw upon him. Maybe that was just because he had no way of knowing what the norm was.
The girl barely even done with dividing the portions, Konoha was already reaching across the table to grab at the greasy chips sticking salt and fat to his fingers. It was a swift motion, barely even two seconds passed before Konoha had chewed and swallowed, and immediately a change came to his otherwise expressionless features. A certain shimmer in his eyes and voice growing ever so slightly softer as he muttered a simple "it's good...!" Down went another one. Then another yet, two more, ten more, his half of the sandwich, and before a minute went buy Konoha was sitting there with a faint smile.
"... Thanks..."
"Happy Birthday." Shinichi greeted the other, holding out a cake. It wasn't really much of anything, but he honestly couldn't think of what the other would want besides food.
How the raven haired teen knew was a mystery, but that never occured to Konoha. These past few days had been very special to him. The city slowly changing, stirring with anticipation and joy behind all that business, the snowfall, children playing and laughing. And then of course a very important piece of memory returning to him. For the first time since he had woken up in this strange city, Konoha knew what was the reason behind that grimace people made when they rose the corners of their mouth. He thought he did at least. This precious feeling of an almost explosive heat inside of his chest. Right now he didn't know whether it was the cake or the greeting that caused it, but the wide smile on his face was indeniable.
"... Thank you..."

Happy Birthday...?
-- Do you remember your dreams?
Every single night Konoha would spend in a state of unconsciousness, an engulfing blackness while images and fragments were blurring past his conscious viewpoint. He had come to recognise these phenomenons as respectively 'sleeping' and 'dreaming'. Every single night he dreamt. A voice, a girl calling out to him, but every so often the sound was cut off - somewhat like a broken recorder. He could never understand what she said, but he knew that he wanted to listen to her voice. For some reason her face was too blurred to even make out, but he knew that he wanted to be in her presence. Only the black twin tails seemed to ever stick in his recollection. Black twin tails? Hadn't there been something about that?
'-xxx- your birthday is on -xxx-, isn't it? Why didn't you -xxx-? I only knew beca -xxx- sensei told -xxxxxx- supposed to mention -xxxxxxxxx- this! Why are you always so -xxxxxxxxxxxx-?! Listen up! There's barely any time to -xxxxx- but even if it's Christmas Eve we'll somehow find the time to cele--------'
As the voice scolded him he would flinch, he would become intimidated, but he could never really get himself to dislike the sound of that voice. It was right though, even back then he had always tried hiding even the silliest things because it would just end up bringing unnecessary work. To who? Why? The twin tailed girl? Was there any particular reason she could not know of a small thing such as the day he was born?
"Born?"
"Birthday?"
"Christmas?"
Concepts barely even familiar to him were floating through his mind at a page much more rapid than what he would have preferred. He wanted time, more time to gather his thoughts and attempt to reach a conclusion. A person existed because they were born. No animal or person could be without having been granted life, he had come to know that in that place where everyone seemed to go for learning new stuff. 'Academy'. Another unfamiliar word. Birth. A day of birth.
I wonder...
Was I born as well?
Or do I only exist?
An existence without origin: no such thing could exist. Even he had to have come from somewhere. And where ever that somewhere was, maybe the twin tailed girl was linked to it. Christmas he had come to realise was a celebration of light amidst the dark times, it was on this very day. A day to celebrate. His birthday? Wasn't that what his dreams had told him as well? An exhale of relief. Even he belonged somewhere after all.

"... Happy birthday..."
A sudden snow storm sweeps over Bunkyo, blanketing the ground with snow. How will you spend your day?
Eyes growing wide with excitement and admiration, Konoha was watching carefully as a white carpet fell over the city. He had noticed a change in surroundings; people passing by would be wearing more and more layers of clothes even though the boy himself was oblivious to the change in temperature, but with this substance suddenly dropping just like that, naturally one couldn’t help but be fascinated.
Snow.
That was what the people around him called it. Konoha didn’t know exactly why but he was drawn to it like a fly to a light and soon his boots croaked against the soft ground as he went into a world that seemed just as white as he himself was. Voices nearby caught his curious attention and following the sounds Konoha found children playing happily, throwing small balls after each other. Was this ‘fun’? Upon being noticed soon the adolescent was dragged into the play as well. At first he didn’t quite understand but it didn’t take long before he had got the basic motions of rolling and tossing down, aiming with such accuracy that eventually the entire playground had decided to team up against him. And yet Konoha didn’t mind. Their laughs and shouts and smiles were fascinating. As the corners of his mouth rose Konoha realised something.
This had to be what they called happiness.
HBD kurokonoHAruka!!!!!
You open your front door and see a turkey in front of you. What do you do?
A moment of awe, that was all. A single moment of unawareness as his eyes went down to observe what it could possibly be he had stepped on, and then Konoha was filled with a warm surge of excitement. This scent seemed familiar to him even though he couldn't really explain why, and a sudden loud growl of his stomach was enough to guide his next course of action. Which of course was to crouch down and eat the entire thing with a speed that would seem unbelievable to any bystanders.
finally another one. Artblock is strong and I’m a lazy shit. Konoha - #12 requested by cutiepie celestiaru ♥
五 When Momo had ventured out of her dorm, all she had in her mind was the idea to have a small adventure of her own. There was so much she had yet to see, but only a few minutes later, Momo was struck with a wonderful aroma from across the street. Her eyes nearly bugged out when she saw all the food and it looked so delicious! Not more than five minutes later, Momo sat outside with her order of what was titled by the cafe as the ‘Number one selling sandwich.’ She was just about to take her first bite when intuition told her she was being watched. That intuition was correct when she looked across the way at a boy whose gaze was acute. She bat her eyes curiously before setting the sandwich back down on her plate. “Excuse me. Is there something you want?”
Shifting his eyes back and forth between the girl and her sandwich, Konoha finally nod his head. Despite his expression being completely void of emotion he was actually a little excited because of the smell that had been invading his nostrils for a while now. He was starting to come to terms with not knowing anything by now, but one thing he did know was that this scent was a welcome one and he had figured out how much he liked food as well. It was different from just eating to survive that, he somehow understood that.
"... Your sandwich..." came the slow and monotone reply finally as the albino seemed to have little trouble with asking a complete stranger for her food. How had he even managed to survive all this while in Bunkyo? That was a mystery. But Konoha was hungry and there was food right in front of his eyes so it seemed like the most logical conclusion.
Expressionless eyes almost artificial in appearance were locked on a person sitting not too far off, or more precisely that delicious looking sandwich in their hand. Having no bad feelings about how intensely he was staring, Konoha refused to avert his gaze as he simply observed. For now.
Your close friend is two hours late to a meeting, how do you react?
Was there a meeting? Well that's too bad because Konoha is already fast asleep right there on the street.
"You wake up, and all of your furniture is glued to the ceiling. What do you do?"
"..." Arriving to such a peculiar sight, pink eyes flew across the furniture that Konoha was pretty sure should not be up there. But this didn't mean too much to the boy. With a jump much more powerful than what should be humanly possible he grabbed hold of a chair, only to seat himself in it while it was still upside down.
A Chance Reunion | Shizuka & Konoha
Haruka was dead. Dead, only a few weeks after moving to Bunkyo. And even though Shizuka had known the older boy for those few weeks, it cut as deeply as though shed known him all her life. For the first few days she’d been inconsolable, almost considering leaving Bunkyo and Ouran altogether, too many painful memories in the one place. But what good would that have done? She’d still have been in pain, but away from the new friends she’d made. It would have been different if she had been able to back to Domino and her brother, but that was impossible.
Now, despite her grief for her friend, Shizuka found herself almost unable to cry. They urge to cry was there, but the tears would no longer come. Now, she looked like a shadow of the girl she had been, dark shadows under red-rimmed eyes, said eyes now a dull muddy colour instead of their usual vibrant hazel. Her whole demeanour spoke of someone who was almost utterly defeated.
Walking listlessly down the street, Shizuka didn’t notice her ID card slip from the book in her hand and onto the ground. Sighing softly, she ran a hand through her bangs. This was silly….Haruka wouldn’t want her to be this sad….would he? Again, she cursed herself for not getting to know the other before he….before what had happened. “Haruka….” she whispered softly, not realizing that she was speaking aloud, jumping when she suddenly got a response.
"Shizuka…chan?"
She stopped short, her breath catching and heart skipping a beat. That voice….it sounded so familiar! Not quite how her remembered it, but still similar enough to his….to Haruka’s…Did that mean?
"Haruka! You-!" She spun around with a hopeful expression on her face, a ghost of a smile on her lips. Only for that expression to fall away as she she got a good look at the boy in front of her, holding out her fallen ID card. He looked a little like Haruka..but that wasn’t him. What a cruel trick of fate. “You’re not Haruka….” Shizuka let out a bitter laugh which sounded almost like a sob. She was such an idiot. The dead couldn’t come back, after all.
There it was again - that one name that Konoha had never heard before but somehow kept appearing around him. Was this really just a coincidence? Then again he couldn't really see what else it could possibly be. Konoha was his own person, and whoever this mysterious Haruka was, that person had nothing to do with him. Probably. Honestly he himself probably wasn't the best judge of whether or not that was the case, but he couldn't do anything but trust in what he knew. Otherwise he really was going to completely lose himself.
With a tilt of the head Konoha responded to the obvious statement, even though it probably wasn't meant to be replied to. "No, I'm not Haruka," he said, coming with just as obvious a comment and added, "I'm Konoha. I don't know you." Why did everyone seem to have such saddened expressions when he began talking to them? Was he doing something wrong?
If that was the case he really wished that people would actually tell him what it was and how he could change it, because on his own he completely failed to understand. Mimicking other people on the street wasn't much helpful, because for some reason people shunned him off when he tried to ask them questions or talk to them. Why he couldn't seem to understand.
Still with this girl, Shizuka's, student ID in his hands the albino was keeping his emotionless glance at the other, simply just holding it and waiting for her to take it. It was her card... right? Starting to feel a tinge of awkwardness, Konoha's gaze turned slightly downwards. "You don't... want it...?"
