Of course she couldn’t get a break. Not only did she wake up this morning to glitter everywhere in the hallway, but to a broken window where it look like a car hit a rock the wrong way and shattered her glass as well. At least, she hoped it was from a car and not one of the other residents. Standing at the edge of the mess with a scowl, she turned to the other.

"You think so, Eddie? Cause I’m about to get real pretty."

She knew he was only teasing, but with her window broken and the cold from the outside air seeping in, she wasn’t in the mood to joke.

The man stopped on his track, crossing his arms against his chest as if to protect himself. Even despite the defensive tance, there was a smile stretching his lips as he shook his head.

"I do, but no need to get mad at me, you know I've done no wrong."

He came closer to her, looking at the mess without entering Erin's personal space.

"I'd say you'd need to put some tape on that window for now. No one will come change the window at this hour. Or you can take my room if it's too cold and I will sleep elsewhere. I told you, there's no need to be so flustered when there are solutions for everything."
