HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
"Call me, baby, say that you want it Call me, lately, feel that you want it Give you all the pain that, lately I've shown you Give you all the things I've lived through"
[WATCHED] Red, White & Royal Blue
Saturday nights, when I'm home alone, are always movie nights for me. Last night was one of those nights, I made some popcorn and cracked into a cool can of Coca-Cola; I opened my watchlist and decided for a movie I've heard a lot about for about two months now: Red, White & Royal Blue.
I want to start by saying it's a very formulaic rom-com but, my god, is it entertaining…
In the—almighty—fashion of enemies-to-lovers/polar-opposites, I found myself instantly shipping the lead characters, Alex and Henry; they're both witty, affable and charming, and the fact that their relationship is non-toxic (which is rather hard to come by in entertainment these days) makes them all that more likable.
The side characters, are just that, side characters; they do their job, but none of them gets much of a spotlight as the movie is very centered around the lead couple (not that I'm complaining).
The pace is pretty good and constant (it never feels like things are happening too slow or too fast) and the runtime, I find to be just right for this kind of story.
And, since I didn't want it to end, I think it's pretty safe to say I enjoyed it very much.
any advice for someone who isn't really that interesting?
you weren’t put on this earth to entertain people. live your life as a boring bitch to the fullest.
