Experience is not what happens to you; it's what you do with what happens to you.

Back in September Perisher approached me to create a film that pays homage to their staff while celebrating their service over the past season.
With little budget and an even shorter time frame, I drew inspiration from Eliot Rauschs' work for Samsung and created this short film titled "Thank You".
Client: Perisher Director/DOP: Andy Lloyd Producer: Saleena Shirvington Talent: Perisher Staff Additional Footage: Perisher Media Dept Script: Andy Lloyd VO: Perisher COO Gear: URSA Mini Pro + Zeiss Standard Speeds
A short film that focuses on the story and meaning behind the Haka, a traditional dance performed by Maori tribes before heading into battle.
Client: Contiki Producer: Ginny Copestake - CML Director/DP: Andy Lloyd Fixer: Te Oranga Witehira Editor: Andy Lloyd Sound Design & Mix: Andy Lloyd Score: David A. Molina - The Music Bed, Big Score Audio - PremiumBeat Camera: Sony FS7
My Director Reel is made up of a collection of scenes taken from my 2016-17 body of work. Each shoot was unique and allowed me to embrace a broad range of storytelling techniques and develop my organic approach to filmmaking.
You’ll never stumble upon the unexpected if you stick only to the familiar.

Contiki VR Asia - TASTE
Had an awesome time directing this with Contiki, we headed down Southeast Asia to capture the Culture, City, Nature and Taste of Thailand in 360 along with some short cinematic vignettes.
Back in 2014 Pinetrees Lodge on Lord Howe Island ran a competition for “The Best Job in The World” which I was lucky enough to win. Basically the role involved living and working on the island for 2 months producing marketing content for the lodge.
The perks were that I had free access to all areas of the island including scuba diving, surfing, snorkelling fishing, and hiking tours while staying in TripAdvisor's Number 1 Hotel in Australia.
Below are a couple of videos I shot while I was there.
'Portrait of a Skier' is a short film featuring two ski instructors who have been teaching people how to ski in Australia for 50 years.
Created for Perisher as a tribute to their service - perisher.com

Napal is one of those places you dream of going to as a filmmaker, it’s a place where no matter what angle the camera is facing you’re bound to capture something unique and beautiful.
Antipodeans asked me to direct 3 videos highlighting their trips in Cambodia & India as well as supply stills for the brochures. The 12 day production took me through the lit up streets of Angkor Wat to the foothills of the Himalayas where we trekked for 5 days along the Nepalese boarder.
Heres one of the videos highlighting the adventure.
