Hi, I got tired of writing here but I can at least post some pictures :). First 3 pictures are from Chicago. I went there with family of my friend. I’m with them so often that I’m starting feel awkward (it’s the third Saturday in a row which I slept over at their house :D) but I love them so who cares. We had a great time in Chicago it was so much fun I laughed all the time but I also remembered there on my family and my sister and our traveling which made me sad because I love traveling with them and especially with my sister. The other 2 pictures are from Capitol in Madison where we went yesterday (the last picture is Maria's master art piece). I realized there that it’s 5 days till Christmas and I still don’t have all Christmas presents so I’m a bit nervous. It’s not my style buy presents on a last minute but I just didn’t realize that it’s coming so soon (especially when there is no snow outside :(( ). So that’s it… :D See ya in a few weeks

Dislike cats

Hey, Even though I feel comfortable in my host home cats drive me nuts. They leave hairs everywhere and tip over everything. I wanted to decorate my room with some accessories but they showed me their disagreement right away. When I came back after school everything was scratched and smashed on the floor. I was about to kill them. Now my room is ban for them (it's not working quite that good as I thought it would). And even if it seems like they are angeles and they want to just cuddle, they'll scratch you after while. Cats are evil. I guess I'm dog person :D. Ou and I think I succeed with my "unshrunking" process. My friend's mum gave me some advices how to unshrunk clothes and it seems to work. I soaked it in a conditioner and then I would trying to stretch it ( it looked ridiculous :D) but I think it's working!

Sometimes I wish I could stay here longer. It goes by faster and I'm not ready to leave yet. I feel so much more comfortable now and I have a real friends. I'm excited to go home and see everyone back home but when I imagine I'll have to leave all this, my whole American life, my friends, my school and house it makes me sad. I can't believe I won't see these people ever again and I won't be part of whatever will happen. 😓

We won conference, yes we did😂😂😂 Yesterday was my last swim meet and it was success. I did very well and I can’t believe that I actually was able to go through the whole hard season and every practice. I was really enjoying to be part of swim team and the fact that swim season is over makes me sad. That’s my second saying goodbye to the swimming and this time it’s harder. I will miss my team girls and all the stuffs we did together. I’ll also miss our couch cause Amit is the best, the most supportive and the funniest couch and physic teacher in the world. We❤️Amit! :D

Hey! :) This week was red drug ribbon week. We had a drug assembly or more likely they told us that it would be drug assembly but the first half of assembly the speaker (one of the best speakers in US :D) played songs on saxophone and we could dance :D. He was pro and the songs were cool without doubt but I don't see the connection with drugs :D. And during the second half he told us "super emotional" stories which you can hear in a movies (again no connection with drugs). Just typical American motivation speech :D. And I have another bad life experience with doing laundry. I'm super mad because half of my clothes had shrank because of dryer. Now my shirts look almost like a baby shirts, my sleeves are shorts and I'm stuffed in it, just perfect! I should have ask why we had stopped use dryer at home. This week I had another chance to speak with Czech man (He moved to US when he was teenager.) and honestly I feel so embarrassed. I'm not able to communicate in Czech. My brain hurts when I am trying to speak. I have to find a word and it takes me so long besides I sound like some foreign student who's trying to speak Czech :D. It's so awkward and sad but after I'll come back it'll come to me soon. So we (two Czech people) ended up with conversation in English :D. See you soon :)

Last week I visited a Haunted house with a group of AFS students. I was terrified. I really don’t enjoy scary things besides my experience from the paths of courage full of tears are not nice (I mostly cried whole way or I gave up at the very beginning :D). But I challenged myself and with a small help I did it. I was amazed how brave I’m :D. The other pic is from senior swim night. That is vey neat tradition. Swimmers say thank you to theirs parents (That was awkward I had to speak to the microphone:D) and the then juniors give a presents to theirs seniors. My friends made sign with poem and wishing for me that was so cute I almost cried :D.

We have an absolutely beautiful fall here and as the Halloween is coming farms are filling with pumpkins. I carved one pumpkin to. It was fun but also gross. You have to pull the seeds and stave out and trust me that's not yummy :D. But the backed pumpkin seeds worth it. Anyway I tried my best even though I don't have the skills :D.

Half way done

Hi, It's been a 2 month of my stay here already and I'm having great time. Im not going to lie it's tough and I miss home every day in some point but mostly I'm enjoying myself. To be honest I really struggle with this tumblr cause I don't knew what to write and I think nobody read it anyway so :D School is easy the material which they learned us is level of our elementary schools so I don't have problems with that. In fact my worst grades are from drawing class :DD (because our art teacher told us that in his opinion C meant vey good drawing but there was some place to improvement! What the heck! All art teachers give A why I have to have the most strict one :D) And also the HW and essays annoy me :| You can't imagine how much you appreciate your county until you left it. I miss my Czech people, Czech food (big lunch) and smart people who knows about existence of other countries :D. Some people were asking me if we know Taylor Swift in my country and if we listen it in English or in our language :D. It makes no sense, how would we listen Taylor swift in Czech ? She would have to record hers songs in every world language :D.

August and crisis is over

Hi all,
I’m glad that I can proudly say: “I have finally overcome my little crisis! :D”. I haven’t got lost for a while, I don’t care about mean people anymore, I’m not afraid to speak in English, I know which button on the water machine I have to press when I want to drink :D but mainly I have a friends. 
I found amazing friends from AFS especially Lara from France. She’s my soulmate and we have the best time and fun together but unfortunately we live far from each other. So we have to plane and find time to see each other. 
But I find a great people in the school and swim team too and you know when you are surrounded by friends everything seems to be better.
So Crazy homecoming week blowed off. Whole HoCo thing was unfamiliar to me but in US it’s pretty big deal. We had dress up/spirit days (Themes as pyjama or beach.) to be honest that’s the thing I really don’t like. Everybody here is super into these dress up days but I don’t get it why I should humiliate myself :D?!
Then here was powderpuff that’s the football game senior girls vs. junior girls (not professional, girls doesn’t play am. football here). Football coach told us that’s the dirtiest and the most violent “game” he had ever seen. And he was right there were few injuries and broken bones :D girls are just rough!
On Friday whole school united in the field house and the grades competed with each other in some fun activities so basically 1000people yelling to each other (the cheering turned into the bulky insulting quickly). I would call it madness :D. After that we walked in the parade downtown (I walked with swim team) and we were throwing candies for kids. I was blessed that I could make small kids smile :DD.
And finally Sundays dance. I didn’t have a date for a dance (as expected:D) so we organized and spent HoCo weekend as a group with my friends. We got together before the dance and got ready + taking pictures of course ;D!( We aren’t pretty on the pictures because the photos were taken before we had put makeup on and had done our hair :D.). The dance was … different than ours dances. Not worst not better. There were many people (around 500) and everybody were dancing in the crowd (no formal dancing:D). It was almost dangerous because people were pushing each other and they were stepping on feet. But in the other hand I appreciated the decoration, lights, music and food (We were the only one who stayed there after and ate cookies and cupcakes :D.). That’s in the shortcut all. Family~where life begins and love never ends

Hi, It's been a while since my last post. I'm sorry but I'm so busy. It's crazy. I have tone of stuff to do for school, besides swim practices and meets are tiring and my last free time I'm spending with my friends. Yeah I have already found some friends and people who I feel good with (AFS and American also) :D. I have experienced to many things that I'm not even able to describe it. It would be very long and boring for you :D. Despite I don't even have time for sleep I'm glad for that. Cause as long as I'm busy, I'm happy. But when I'm alone and I have nothing to do I started feel homesick. To be honest the thing I miss the most are not friends or school but my family. When I had to write a essay for my English class about my values I picked family as my most important value without doubt. Because family doesn't represent only one value for me. Family covers love, trust, support, friendship, honest, laugh and much more. I know that it sounds as stupid cliche (I always thought that it's just cliche.). But now when I'm 8000km far from people who love every piece of me even if I'm edgy and mean. I realized how much I love them and I regret that I have never told my mum what she means to me and I have never hugged her. I have to fix it back home! :) I also lack the dark part of my personality :D. It's frustrating because I have to be nice and happy every single day! I wish I could fight with sb, argue with sb, give a mean faces, be edgy and break things :D. I guess I can not handle this anymore so it won't take a long time and I'll let my mean face and words out :D. Be aware annoying people! :D

Hi, here is another very “interesting” post. On Friday I was with my friends at the football game. To be honest I don’t know the rules but apparently almost nobody do. Anyway It was interesting. Every game has dress up theme (This one was USA.). Bleachers were crowded with students wearing u.s. items and colors. Performance of the band and dance team started the game. Then the players ran dramatically in the field, everyone was cheering and shouting. It was almost like some ceremony or some event :D Basically everything like in American movies. During the game everybody was cheering (I didn’t know almost any of the songs so I just pretended that I cheered :D.) but half of people didn’t care of the game at all but of taking pictures and stuff like this :D (people are the same all over the world). On Saturday was my second swim meet. This one was bigger and just for few people from the team so I was pretty nervous. But the best thing about the swim meets that after that we have a party at someone’s house. Usually absolutely huge house with air hockey, ping-pong table and much more. Plus nice people and food!! I love these nights :). Sunday was my day off. We were kayaking with my friend and her’s parents. The Cedar Greek river, where we have been, is the slowest “river” ever. You couldn’t even recognize which way stream goes cause there is no stream! :D The direction of the river is changed by the the wind :D. So I had to paddle very hard besides I was exhausted from paddling I had a fun. And in the evening I did paddle boarding. It was so cool! Amazing day full of paddle :DD. The rest of the weekend I spent with my host parents. They are nice. I could do everything and invite to come over our house anybody. Only house work I do is washing up and my laundry. That remains me how I did laundry yesterday. It was my first laundry without help. So I put clothes into the washing machine and set everything very carefully. After one hour of washing, when I wanted to take off my clothes I realized that I forgot to add soap powder… Good job me! :D

First week of school

Hi, It’s been awhile since I wrote something because I was very busy. School has already started and the swim meets also. So I was lazy to write :D. Anyway I love my school, classes and everything. I always looking forward to school (it’s weird right? :D). I could try to describe in a shortcut how it’s working here. If you saw The high school musical you maybe though that it’s not real but you know what, it is! The American HS are exactly as High school musical or Mean girls :D. There are groups of the very good sport men’s, group of footballers and the popular people and some of them aren't neither very smart nor nice (In my English class I sit next to the football guy and he is… Okay I’m not going to gossip. He might read this :D. I have to be nice. ). But I’m lucky that I study at Cedarburg high school cause things here aren’t so bad. Big difference for me is that my classes last for 85 minutes and breaks are just for 5 minutes! At first I was shocked but now I have already used to it. But I still struggle with 5 minutes break. It’s hard to get from one side of school to the other side and when you want to pee it’s impossible to make it to the bathroom in the 5 minutes:D! But our teachers are very kind and they let us eat and do stuff during the classes. Basically they don’t care about what you do (Most of the student listen music or sleep :D.). Also the material we learn is much easier then in ČR (It’s level of ours elementary schools :D.) so I’m glad for that I wouldn’t be so lost. During the classes we usually speak a lot, working together and play a games. But true is that teachers gave us many HW and projects. And school lunches are grouse! I’m not going to eat that. You couldn’t even recognize where meat ended and where potatoes started it’s just some grey creepy meal :D. Kids usually bring some snacks from home like a sandwich and sweets or they buy pizza or nachos. Eating habits are here very bad and unhealthy. The last thing is friendship. People here are very nice, they usually talk to me but it’s not friendship yet. It’s hard because I have different people on every class (You meet new people on every subject. They don’t have a classes by the age as we have.). Besides the breaks are to short to socialize with somebody :D. But I’m working on it :D! And I find some very nice girls in a swim team and in the school too so I’m sure I’ll be fine :). Okay this is very shortcut of what I’m experiencing here but good enough for now :D.

So today is the D day. My first day of school and after that my first swimming meeting. To be honest I'm not ready for this :D. Yesterday I was on the tour around the school and I also tried to open my locker (Their's lockers are super complicated:D.). After 10th attempt to get into my locker I realized that I'm trying to open wrong somebody's else locker :D. It was awkward, luckily nobody saw me! We also got our team parkas, swimsuits and caps. All the stuffs are so pretty except that my parka's size is XXL so I look like homeless in it :D. Okay so 2 hours left and I'm confused and nervous as hell. Apparently when is held swim meet here, every swimmer has to wear nice clothes to the school. And when you break the rule you have to wear swim cap the whole other day :D. That sucks! I don't have any nice clothes here and besides I don't want to wear formal clothes on my first day! I think I could try to use the first excuse, it could work ;D. Plus I ate too much this morning (you know nerves :D) so I have stomachache and I'm feeling like I'm going to throw up every minute.... What a beautiful day today... :DD Wish luck!

Last few days until the school starts

Hi guys, Another busy weekend is almost gone. I spent Friday with Lara. We had finally chance to get up together! I love that girl so much. We were shopping in Milwaukee cause we needed clothes. Especially she cause she had only one torn jeans :D. Everything was fine, we made some space on ours accounts and we avoided dangerous black neighborhood which was very close to the mall we were shopping. They told us that there is shooting like an every day routine (Many people have already died there.). So yeah I was little scared :D. BTW Dominiku R. I didn’t have chance to practice the worlds you learned me :DD. After shopping we bought frozen custard. And god that’s the most delicious thing ever! It’s like an ice cream but more creamy, butter and heavier (so very dietary ;D). Simply heaven I hope that it’ll come to the ČR soon. You should google it :D. On Saturday our swim team organized car wash and bake sale to earn some money (The typical way for sports teams how to get money.). But Mother Nature is cruel and it was raining so nobody wanted wash car :D. So after one hour I spent waving on cars. We focused only on bake sale. We sold almost every bake goods we had (sugar cookies, brownies, marshmallows in chocolate, …) and the rest of it we ate :D. The final income made 360$, good job girls! Despite the fact that I was freezing and wet I really enjoyed that day we had so much fun :). In the evening Ana and hers gay friend (I don’t know how I should write his name :D.) come over my house. We made pizza and had a great time. I have laughed so hard as I haven’t before here in US :D. Anyway many friends and people told me that they are impressed how good my English is. They asked me how long had I learned English and if it was usual. Some of them though that English is my official language :D. But I don’t feel that way. True is that I understand what they’re saying and I’m getting better in listening but it’s hard to get involved into the conversation. But doesn’t matter I can do it :D!

Btw there was a concert 1D few days ago in Milwaukee. It's weird that so famous group had a concert 15 miles away and I didn't even know. You couldn't find any commercial or anything. If it is in Czech Republic you'd see posters everywhere :D.

Hi, The picture above reveals a little what will be this tumblr about :D. I haven’t written much about my host family yet. So I think my host parents are great. I really like my host dad. He’s funny and we talk a lot. His passion is cooking and music. So I love cooking dinner with him. Music plays loud across the house and he sings. It’s funny. My host mum is trying find some activities for me all the time (sometimes it’s too much :D). But I appreciate that. My host sister is funny and nice to me. At first I was worried if we’ll get on well but it was in vain. Plus she doesn’t spend much time at home. She hangs out with friends and she’s gonna leave to the collage next week. And then there are our 4 kitties :D. To be honest they give me raw time sometimes. Cat hairs are everywhere, kitties are sometimes itchy and they usually want to cuddle when I watch some movie. They come to me and lie down on the iPad. So instead of movie I see kitty’s belly :D. Yeah they are annoying sometimes but I have to admit that I kind a love them ( I have my favorite one already :D. ). And in the end of this belongs the food. My host family eat very healthy and they are vegetarians. I was (and still am) very glad for that cause I don’t want to become an Another Fat Student. We made a fun of that in our organization AFS cause everyone usually put on a lot of weight. So AFS could also means another fat student :D. Anyway as I said I was happy for that. Our fridge is full of vegetables and fruit. I’m tasting food which I haven’t eaten before. And I like it (You know me. I eat everything what’s on the plate :D.). When I have sweet tooth I take toast with butter. That’s my treat :DD. But what I miss is meat! I didn’t realize that until I felt like a mushroom on the swim practice and after that I saw myself in the mirror. My muscles were almost gone. So I went to the grocery immediately and I bought big box of chicken strips (family packet). And guess what, yeah I ate the whole package on my way back home :D (I have started on the parking lot :D.). No shame! I felt soo good almost high. That was what I needed. I love meat! After that even my swim practice was better :). I had a talk about that with my host parents and they bought me protein shakes and they are going to show me how to replace meat. But I still have another package of chicken in my cupboard just for sure :DD. So no scare I’m doing fine.

Hello, I’m started getting more comfortable here. I already have my everyday routine so there’s no free time. At week days I swim and spend time with my friends and at weekends I usually have some trip with my host family. I’ve already taken bike tour of Cedarburg and surrounding. There are nice bike trails but these bikes are killing me :D I’m used to the terrain bike! (The pict above is from the bike trail.) Swim practices are hard but I love it. Instead of yoga we do workout now so I’m literally dying :D + I smell like a chlorine. My skin is dry and my hair is messy. I guess I become swimmer again :D. But what really bothers me is theirs shame. When we go to the shower after practice everybody takes shower in the swimsuit. What is that how you can wash down the chlorine when you have your swimsuit on? :D Anyway yeah I can do it. But what I’m not able to do is change clothes under the towel that nobody can see your body. It’s impossible for me. I tried once without success :D so I have to change on the toilet. It’s insane but luckily I’m not the only one! :D And how I feel? Truthfully, I feel like on the rollercoaste. One day I thought why I’m here? Why I’m trying find friends when I already have amazing friends and loving family in ČR. It’s crazy. It doesn’t make any sense! But the next day I hanged out with Maria (my Italien AFS friend) and everything changed. Now I feel much better and I’m soo glad to be here with AFS organization cause they are the best. They organize many activities and they don’t let as sink. Thanks this organization I have already met friends all over the world. :)
