seeing doomed doppelganger horror yaoi in a movie theater with friends was NOT part of my 2026 bingo card
After 1 and a half years and 73926382 rereads of the same chapter, I have finally finished this damn book
Every single of one of my hyperfixations some way, somehow, traces back to count of monte cristo
now that episode 12 is out, i have finally completed the rot playlist
I know China loves a solid black and white dynamic, but I like the route Double Helix is taking getting there.
Lu Feng and Yi Chen (Xiao Chen) were slightly matching when they were younger.
Their relationship felt "normal" and so did their colors with each other, as if they complemented each other.
But the undercurrent of the dark and light were always there.
Yet it felt there was still a chance for a true balance for them.
Then, everything went to hell.
And Lu Feng went dark.
Yet despite it all, Xiao Chen stayed in the light.
And that's where they met each other years later.
Lu Feng always had the potential to be fully dark, and we saw it the first time they had sex, which was actually sexual assault.
And it pops back up because the only time Lu Feng can be completely honest with Xiao Chen is when it's completely dark (sidenote: they switched the color-coded utensils here).
Prior to the lights going out, Lu Feng was trying nicely to get Xiao Chen to stay, but once the lights went out, he dropped the act.
I enjoy people defending Lu Feng, but the toxicity is strong in this one, and every now and then, we get glimpses of just how dark he could really be.
But Xiao Chen will always be his light.
Lu Feng closes the curtains so they are disconnected from the outside world and thrown into darkness, but Xiao Chen and his little light always remain.
Without Xiao Chen, Lu Feng would be completely dark.
It's only because he has Xiao Chen that he has light.
But beyond being light, Xiao Chen is blue. He will be loyal to a fault. But blue can also show up as a sign of immense sadness or even depression.
Because while Lu Feng would harm everyone including Xiao Chen, to have Xiao Chen forever, Xiao Chen would hurt himself just to never harm anyone else.
And Lu Feng will only make this worse because Lu Feng believes by cutting Xiao Chen off from the outside world, he is protecting him.
But what he is really doing is dampening Xiao Chen's light.
So once he and Xiao Chen are separated again, Lu Feng will only become darker.
He will embrace the darkness.
Xiao Chen is his, and his only.
Because if he no longer has his light, nobody can have the light.
Therefore, I don't think China is going for a story of balance with these two, but total dependence.
One cannot exist without the other, much like a double helix.
kiss of death
fuck this man and fuck his rabbit shaped apples
One thing that I noticed is that we already got Lu Feng apologists on-line 🤣
"His father is just awful, it doesn't matter that he killed a guy" was one of the wild takes I saw around and this is promising to be one of those shows where things just get a little too out of control in the fandom
Overall the show did some fine tuning in the introduction and I do appreciate a slower descent into madness with Lu Feng, the signs are all there if you look for them...
This show is so damn toxic but aylio’s facecards eat so much
We can’t expect God to do all the work
Painting comm I had the pleasure to work on!

Ziyu’s actually two apples tall chat
"A fucking piece of fucking shit", but like lovingly.
Why are western forensic based shows so allergic to placing their main characters in ppe
It’s so fkin weird to be in a fandom with accessible merch. Like wdym I don’t have to dig into Facebook marketplace to find for posters of my favorite show?
Tian xuning is like if 2009 Lee min ho came back from the grave and decided to do another enemies to lovers show but instead of reverse harem it’s psychosexual toxic yaoi
