Hello everyone. As you may have noticed, ANG has been a bit slow lately. We admins recognise that this is partly our fault. We haven’t been very active recently and we thought we could keep things running until everything got better but as it turns out, we can’t. That is why, after some consideration, we have decided to shut down the main blog. This blog will still be open to receive questions and answer anything you guys send in, we just won’t be doing any other stuff like tasks, events, posting bios or accepting apps.

We haven’t been very active recently and we thought we could keep things running until everything got better but as it turns out, we can’t. That is why, after some consideration, we have decided to shut down the main blog. This blog will still be open to receive questions and answer anything you guys send in, we just won’t be doing any other stuff like tasks, events, posting bios or accepting apps. 

However, and because we don’t want any of you to feel like you have to leave this group -- we know how important ANG is for everyone --, we decided that you can continue to roleplay with each other. Everything can continue as before, same plots, whatever you want to do. There just won’t be a main blog overseeing that anymore.

We’re truly sorry things turned out this way. We had hoped we could stick it out and maintain this place running, but everything just got to being too much. We hope you guys understand. As we said before, the main will still be open to receive your questions and anything you want to talk to us about. We have loved every second we’ve spent running and writing with this group, and we hope you keep on doing it the same brilliant way you’ve been doing all this time.

→ Meet Blue…

You know that girl everyone knows about, but almost no one has actually spoken to, and all they know about her is rumours? Blue is that girl at Hogwarts. Ask anyone, they’ll tell you exactly who she is and what she’s done. Or, at least, who they think she is and what they’ve heard she’s done. Think Regina George, wizarding world equivalent. Except Blue is actually quite nice. Within her range, that is. As much as an orphan can be without being suspicious or fake. Since she can remember, her family has only been her brother and her. Golias was everything she had known and all she needed. That was, of course, before Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan walked into her life.

At first, Blue was suspicious of them. Why would they want them, when no one else ever had. But, after a while, she realised that they were just good in their hearts. She’d never known there were people like that, and it made her believe in a better world than the one she’d known until then. She grew to love Dean and Seamus like they were her actual parents, which they were, even if they didn’t share any of her and her brother’s DNA. They were a family, and one of the best ones around.

→ Their personality…

Blue doesn’t have any memory of her parents, but she doesn’t mind it much. The only stuff she knows about them is what Golias has told her, which wasn’t much. She figures she doesn’t need to know, though. She has her parents, and that’s all she needs. People who don’t want to be around her aren’t people she needs to be around. For a while, she wondered if they’d left because of Golias’s powers. Were they scared? Why would they be scared of magic? It was freaking awesome. Blue has since given up trying to understand their reasons.

Raised in a loving home and having always been taught that compassion and determination could get her wherever she wanted to go, it was a bit of a surprise when the Hat put her in Slytherin, after being stalled between the lions and the snakes. Blue was scared her parents would be upset at first, but she soon realised that being a Slytherin didn’t equate to being evil. So she embraced it. She used her iron will to get where she wanted, although not at the cost of anyone. She shuns anyone who needs to step on others to get what they want. 

Blue is a natural party girl. She just likes to have fun. Sure, she sometimes drinks a bit too much or fools around with more than a couple of people, but what’s wrong with that? She isn’t careless. She knows what she’s doing. With as much of a Gryffindor in her as a Slytherin, she sometimes does dangerous stuff, but always when she’s sure she’ll be able to tell the tale afterwards. When he was at Hogwarts, her brother was constantly telling her that she’d get herself killed one of these days, and she’d laugh in his face. That’s the thing about having fallen one too many times: you always know you can pick yourself back up.

→ Their connections…

GOLIAS FINNIGAN-THOMAS. For most of Blue’s life, it’s only been her and Golias. The two were outcasts no matter what they did, even at the orphanage. They always stuck to each other, not really trusting anyone else outside that limited circle. Golias took on the responsibility to take care of his sister, protect her from all the evil in the world, even after they were adopted. Sometimes, Blue can’t help but to feel a bit suffocated, because even though she knows he just wants what’s best for her, she knows she can take care of herself, and it feels like he won’t let her.

ZOEY DEWILDE. It was only natural these two would get together. Despite their very different pasts, Zoey and Blue are two birds of a feather. They just get each other. With thousands of inside jokes and hours of joking banter under their belts, these two are thick as thieves. And although Blue is more closed-off than most, that seems to ease a bit around Zoey, making her comfortable to share stuff, even if it’s not the full extent of her problems.

DARREN STONE. Wherever you see Blue, Darren is most likely close behind. The two are inseparable. After bonding over common opinions on bad parenting, Darren and Blue have become the closest pair you could ever think of, with Blue even helping him with his schoolwork every now and again. Despite knowing he can fend for himself, Blue is always there to stick up for Darren whenever someone pokes at him, most commonly his half-brother. In many ways, Darren is like the little brother Blue never had the chance to have.

Fortunately, the role of Blue is currently AVAILABLE.

u guys still have people listed as on hiatus when it's past the date it says they'll return on and these people haven't been unfollowed yet for inactivity, even though they've been inactive for more than a month?

We’ve been a bit more flexible with the hiatuses deadlines because we understand how real life can take over all of a sudden and be a bit hard to manage, so we don’t hold it against them. The people listen in the activity check are the people that didn’t get back to us before the time we said we’d post it. We warned our members specifically because it’s been a rough month on everyone and we didn’t want to seem unreasonable. All the people that have been inactive but not unfollowed are people who talked to us and assured us they’d be active very soon.

→ Meet Daisy...

Dursley is not a name that sparks particularly good memories. The family wasn’t exactly known for their warmth and kindness. But none of that reflects on this girl. Daisy is the epitome of sympathy and gentleness, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. Surprising, coming from the daughter of Dudley, but the girl was raised on a different environment than her father. The only child of the couple, Daisy was raised among real love. She rarely saw her father being as good a person as when he was with her mother. 

Dudley rarely speaks to his parents anymore, even less when they found out Daisy was a witch. That put a pretty definite end to their familial relationship, because despite his upbringing, what with his parents shunning Harry every chance they got, Daisy was still his only daughter and he wouldn’t forsake her like that. So he learned to embrace it, with the help of his cousin and his family. As a result, Daisy ended up spending a lot of time with the Weasley-Potter kids, and thus learning more about what it was to be a wizard.

→ Their personality...

A Hufflepuff at heart, no one was surprised when the Sorting Hat yelled out the house as soon as it touched Daisy’s curl-covered head. Her parents were excited -- as soon as they learned what Hufflepuff was -- and thus began her journey in this new, exciting world. Being from a mostly-muggle background, the girl never really understood the divide between the four houses. She came to learn that it used be to much worse, and that Wizarding War had put a filter on everyone’s house competitions and prejudices. Still, she was amazed at how seriously some people took their house. 

Under the influence of her cousins, Daisy joined the Quidditch team -- even though she hardly knew what Quidditch was. When Harry got the news, he took it upon himself to teach her over the summer. As a result, Daisy became one of the best Keepers for the Hufflepuff team in the past decade. Now, she loves the sport, and actually finds it therapeutic, even though it can get a bit too violent for her taste every now and again. As far as school is concerned, she tries her best. And it shows. In most of her classes, she has a top-score average and the teachers are constantly gushing about her grades. But she also has her shortcomings, namely in Potions and Transfiguration. She scrapes by, but barely. It frustrates her how difficult everything is. Thus, the teachers have assigned her a tutor, though she hardly thinks he can help. 

During her Sixth Year, Daisy came to figure out something about herself that scared her: she wasn’t attracted to boys. She’d never had a boyfriend and she didn’t really mind it, but she realised that every time she thought about the subject, it wasn’t a guy that she pictured to be in a relationship with; it was a girl. And a specific one, too. She’s been confused about her sexuality since, and afraid to tell anyone about her thoughts and feelings. The only person she’s spoken remotely about this with is Fred, because she knows he would never judge her for anything. She is also afraid to tell her parents, even though she knows in her brain that they’d probably be okay with it, she just doesn’t want to take that risk of them stopping to love her.

→ Their connections...

EMMA MCLAGGEN. Emma is sort of like the forbidden fruit to Daisy. She tries her hardest to be around her as much as possible, but she can’t do much more than that. The two grew close after being in the same Potions class and being paired together. Emma is everything Daisy wished for: funny, kind, compassionate... and beautiful. Daisy just couldn’t help but to fall for her, but she’s never said anything about it, in fear she might lose her friend by asking her to be something more.

CONNOR LONGBOTTOM. Daisy already knew Connor since they were both little and she would go to the Weasley-Potter gatherings, where sometimes he would be, too. but they never really spoke until the teachers decided to assign him as a tutor to help her with Potions and Transfiguration. She didn’t really understand why they’d assigned him and not someone else, since he obviously didn’t give a damn whether or not she got better. Still, every week they meet in the library, and Daisy tries desperately to grasp the subjects and get Connor off her hair.

FRED WEASLEY II. At first glance, you wouldn’t pitch these two together. In truth, they’re like polar opposites of each other. Call Daisy a sucker for hopeless cases or something like that, but since they were little, there was something calling her towards Fred. And she listened. Even thought she had to go through layer after layer of coldness and anger, she got to the bottom of him, and what she found made her want to stick around. Together, they’re completely different people than they are when they’re apart. Of course, Daisy doesn’t understand some of the stuff Fred does, but she doesn’t judge him, just like he doesn’t judge her for anything.
