Imbued with Unending Grace, 2015
When Love Arrives
by Sarah Kay and Phil Kaye
I knew exactly what love looked like – in seventh grade
Even though I hadn’t met love yet, if love had wandered into my homeroom, I would’ve recognized him at first glance. Love wore a hemp necklace. I would’ve recognized her at first glance, love wore a tight french braid. Love played acoustic guitar and knew all my favorite Beatles songs. Love wasn’t afraid to ride the bus with me. And I knew, I just must be searching the wrong classrooms, just must be checking the wrong hallways, she was there, I was sure of it. If only I could find him.
But when love finally showed up, she had a bow cut. He wore the same clothes every day for a week. Love hated the bus. Love didn’t know anything about The Beatles. Instead, every time I try to kiss love, our teeth got in the way. Love became the reason I lied to my parents. I’m going to- Ben’s house. Love had terrible rhythm on the dance floor, but made sure we never missed a slow song. Love waited by the phone because she knew if her father picked up it would be: “Hello? Hello? I guess they hung up.”
And love grew, stretched like a trampoline. Love changed. Love disappeared, Slowly, like baby teeth, losing parts of me I thought I needed. Love vanished like an amateur magician, and everyone could see the trapdoor but me. Like a flat tire, there were other places I planned on going, but my plans didn’t matter. Love stayed away for years, and when love finally reappeared, I barely recognized him. Love smelt different now, had darker eyes, a broader back, love came with freckles I didn’t recognize. New birthmarks, a softer voice. Now there were new sleeping patterns, new favorite books. Love had songs that reminded him of someone else, songs love didn’t like to listen to. So did I.
But we found a park bench that fit us perfectly We found jokes that make us laugh. And now, love makes me fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies. But love will probably finish most of them for a midnight snack. Love looks great in lingerie but still likes to wear her retainer. Love is a terrible driver, but a great navigator. Love knows where she’s going, it just might take her two hours longer than she planned. Love is messier now, not as simple. Love uses the words “boobs” in front of my parents. Love chews too loud. Love leaves the cap off the toothpaste. Love uses smiley faces in her text messages. And turns out, love shits!
But love also cries. And love will tell you you are beautiful and mean it, over and over again. “You are beautiful.” When you first wake up, “you are beautiful.” When you’ve just been crying, “you are beautiful.” When you don’t want to hear it, “you are beautiful.” When you don’t believe it, “you are beautiful.” When nobody else will tell you, “you are beautiful.” Love still thinks you are beautiful. But love is not perfect and will sometimes forget, when you need to hear it most, you are beautiful, do not forget this.
Love is not who you were expecting, love is not who you can predict. Maybe love is in New York City, already asleep; You are in California, Australia, wide awake. Maybe love is always in the wrong time zone. Maybe love is not ready for you. Maybe you are not ready for love. Maybe love just isn’t the marrying type. Maybe the next time you see love is twenty years after the divorce, love is older now, but just as beautiful as you remembered. Maybe love is only there for a month. Maybe love is there for every firework, every birthday party, every hospital visit. Maybe love stays- maybe love can’t. Maybe love shouldn’t.
Love arrives exactly when love is supposed to, And love leaves exactly when love must. When love arrives, say, “Welcome. Make yourself comfortable.” If love leaves, ask her to leave the door open behind her. Turn off the music, listen to the quiet, whisper, “Thank you for stopping by.”
It's been a while since I have posted something on my blog. Well this is something to blog about.

It was quite an ordinary for me, till I was invited by a friend out for dinner. He brought me to this place, at first, I thought that the name of the place was "Yakitori" haha it wasn't clear to me that it was "Tambai" (well, who would have thought haha)
The place where the snackhouse is, is really hidden. You couldn't see the place unless you really know how to get there. It was somewhere in Makati Ave., Burgos St., (if I'm not mistaken) and we turned in to some street and saw an Iglesia ni Cristo chapel, and the snackhouse was just a few blocks away from the chapel.
I can say that, that was the best Yakitori sticks that I have ever tasted! Every stick is really full of flavor and it does not need any sauce coz' it's very flavorful. It matches their Kimchi Rice which comes in a serving fit for 2-3 Yakitori sticks and of course, a bottle of beer.
I was overwhelmed of this experience and would want to go back on that snackhouse and definitely will recommend others to try their food.

It has been almost 6 months since my last post. Been busy since the holidays for the short film that we have made. But everything has paid off. We were able to bag the 3rd best picture. Though it was just a runner-up award, well I don't care. At least we were able to showcase what we've got.
So the story was handed down to us and it is on our hands on how we will be able to put it on film. The story is a bout Kristine Dela Peña, a Thomasian Scholar, and beauty queen. With a twist. She once entered the convent after her first year. Feel free to judge our first so-called film with my co-director(nuks), Alea Ilustrisimo ( Visit her tumblr page here)

here is the link to our film.
Many thanks to the production team for making this "film" possible. We could have not done this without them as well. And of course, to our lead actress, Ms. Kristine Bandulin for being so patient and kind while on the shoot :) Thank you very much, guys!
if there are any questions about it, don't hesitate to send me a message:) I would really appreciate it :)

Anthology Vinyl Launch 9-7-13
An overdue blog post.
First Saturday of the month, Number Line Records launches their limited edition vinyl compilation of featured artists from their good list of Filipino Artists. It was held on the new Blanc Gallery located in Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City, Philippines. The event itself was really a blast. The rich Filipino indie music culture and vibe has stunned me. While waiting for the event to start, I can't stop myself observing people around. They all have this unique aura and everyone just smiles at you even they really don't know you at all. We also had a great opportunity to have a headshot by Joey Alvero. The experience of being on that event is really thrilling. I was lucky to have attend this launch and appreciate Filpino indie music even more. Some of the performances were by Eyedress and Similar Objects(they performed a duo), Love in Athens, Slow Hello, No Rome, the ever soothing Outerhope, but most of all, Tarisus who made the crowd dance till midnight.
In order: Outerhope, Love in Athens, Tarsius, Slow Hello and Similar Objects and Eyedress mashup.
Also, our photo taken by Joey Alvero. Photo grabbed to his FB account.Visit his tumblr: www.youmehistory.tumblr.com
Thank you so much for this! :)

too late
I have been wanting all my roles to be finished. I really can't wait for them to be developed and be back at posting my photos. If only I have the time to take a photo of everything I want to capture (or should I say if I only have been bringing a camera with me haha)
I just can't wait.
Home alone. My mom didn't allow me to attend class today due to some illness. So now I have time to blog about something interesting.
One thing you'll notice about the music I am into, is that they are all relaxing (well, for me) the chill vibe, feel good music. It really helps me think even deeper at times.
Swim Deep, a surf rock band from the UK. The way I feel about their tracks is different from the others. Maybe because of their vocalist's voice that gives a more steady vibe to me. It has so much impact if a vocalist of a band has a different way of singing. That's one factor I consider whenever I research for more bands to listen to.
Hope you guys enjoy their music.
keep'em all steady!

For a rainy day like this, it's nice to have a dose of some experimental ambient music.
This Hong Kong based Filipino musician has been my favorite for the first time his music was introduced to me by my bestbud. His tracks were always on my on-the-go playlist whenever I am on my way to school.(since it's taking me almost 2 hours just to arrive school)
Chill, ambient vibe. Good vibes all the way.
Really a good match for a rainy weather.
Enjoy! listen more of his tracks on his soundcloud :)
He had done some collaborations with other artists from Number Line Records.
check it out guys
