the way the lyrics absolutely match perfectly to each of the drivers and everything is genuinely making me feral like oml I literally had a whole ass crashout on this dear god

liam lawson starting first with the "helpless" lyric, because his career has always been out of his hands, he's always been helpless when it comes to red bull. then it flashing too "isn't this enough" asking himself, isnt being at VCARB enough? isn't it enough to still have a seat then nothing at all even when that seat is not the one he wants

then arvid with the "he will never be satisfied", it practically being written in the stars that he will graduate for the senior team, him still having the chance that liam wants so bad again, and on liam's side again "would that be enough" is all of this going to be enough for him? he's repeating it because maybe if he repeats it it'll come true.

both come in together on the "satisfied" because neither of them are.

then max barging in with the "history has its eyes on you" is self explanatory, he is so decorated for his drives now, histories eyes are only waiting to see if he'll do more

all of this happens and repeats in tandem, like all the stories weaving together in the red bull pen, before all of them joining together affirming that whatever they do next, history has its eyes on them. because it does.

then max and liam being the "I am not throwing away my shot" one of them currently undergoing rumours of retirement and the other one written off as his shot already being thrown away while arvid and isack are both in waiting, ready to put their own shot into motion.

all of them join together in the finale to affirm that they are not throwing away their shot.

and lets just see what happens.

For context: this came out in 2011 in Australia. Same-sex marriage would not be legalized until December 2017.

It was only legalized in 8 US states (the 8th only a few months before), and wouldn’t be legalized nation-wide until 2015.

It was only legal in TEN COUNTRIES in 2011. We wouldn’t hit 20 countries until 2017. (Australia was 23rd)

As of today (April 14, 2026), I believe only 38 countries have fully legalized same-sex marriage. Out of somewhere around 200 countries in the world. That’s only ~19% of countries.

This is still revolutionary.
