might sound weird idk. we experience manic psychosis and the thought of narrative ascension looking like a huge delusion of grandeur to characters who arent or cant ascend and dont know what the ascending character is talking about or really whats going on at all is fascinating to me personally. cause its pretty horrifyingly close to the kinda logic ur brain runs on in episodes like that. shame that dirk went the akio route cause he seemingly couldnt handle remaining as dios. dirk why, why did you choose to watch rgu alone with ur fucked up brain dirk. pick up the phone strider

like not that long ago i wanted to make a blog where i just took bug facts and replaced all instances of the bug's name and replaced it with knight and i kind of miss it. knights is bugs. its chitinous

The thing basically everyone gets wrong about Makima Chainsaw Man is that she's not some kind of seductive femme fatale, nor is she some of terrifying yandere girlboss. She's some lady who works at an office. She's an NPC. Her suit is too big for her. She's got a dopey smile. She ate a corndog and cried at a stupid movie. She's Literally Just Some Guy.

And then also she did all that shit.

She's just some loser with power over an impressionable child. And everything that came afterwards is what it takes to convince the average reader that teenage boys being groomed and abused is bad, actually.

It does not take a femme fatale mastermind to manipulate and abuse an impressionable child. It doesn't take a girlboss to ruin a kid's life.

Like, she's a primordial demon and all that, but she is also just some lady who goes grocery shopping.
