We look at how conservation efforts in India have been pivotal to the survival of these birds.

In the early 2000s, vulture populations in Asia began to crash for no apparent reason. It was eventually discovered that a drug veterinarians used to treat cattle was highly toxic to vultures and poisoning them when they fed on cattle carcasses. The governments of India, Pakistan, and Nepal all worked to ban the toxic drug and support vulture conservation programs.

Twenty years later this is a huge conservation success story. Several Asian vulture populations that had decreased by over 99% before the ban have made huge recoveries thanks to conservation breeding centers, the creation of vulture safe zones, and stricter drug regulations.

to anyone in the areas impacted by the wildfire smoke, my #1 biggest piece of advice as someone whos been dealing with wildfire smoke in the NW united states for years, is build yourself a Corsi-Rosenthal Cube

they perform as well as expensive HEPA air cleaners, and are comparatively VERY inexpensive. all you need is a box fan, 4 air filters, a piece of cardboard, and some duct tape!!!!

i think it took us maybe a half hour to put ours together, if that, and we replace the filters every 3 months. it's really made a HUGE difference, both when the air quality is bad, but also with our allergies

Washington Post is paywalling the article but it looks like Taylor Farms — a consumer bagged salad brand that also supplies produce to grocers and fast food chains like Taco Bell, Walmart, McDonald's, Chipotle, Burger King, KFC, and Meijer —may be at least one of the sources of the current cyclosporiasis outbreak.

Taylor makes bagged greens, salad kits, chopped salads, the works. Keep avoiding supermarket greens, but keep an especially close eye out for this brand/supplier. The above list of grocers and fast food chains is NOT exhaustive, so please continue getting lettuce and other raw produce taken off your burgers, sandwiches, etc.

n e ways im trying to speedrun unlocking dawn and/or filbert.....especially filbert due to my hygos soul.. its probably going to be dawn first solely because i actually Do play yog of my own free will and i already have most of dawn's yog missions done already But its really just gonna come down to who's corrupted forms can i find more of first

also i get that vaelis is a very beginner character but vaelis just straight up sucks

for the cost of a worse ability, worse damage and worse stealth you get a little more stamina and speed. not even enough to really do much with it? its not like yoggy where that speed and extra stam gives you so much more room to use your REALLY GOOD ability. like especially solo vaelis' ability is just really ass when it really doesnt have to be

like the slowing is a good idea but it doesnt apply to all corrupted and it doesnt last extremely long. highlighting all of them also doesnt feel that helpful because . unless youre on a trial with deepest dark they are usually not that hard to keep track of!

so youre just left with a weird midpoint between mylo and yoggy with significantly worse damage than mylo and significantly less utility than yoggy and its like whyy play vaelis. And why torture me specifically by forcing me to play vaelis for at minimum 100 rounds just to unlock filbert who doesnt play anything like vaelis. ill kill you

first real complaint with warden: the character unlock order doesnt make a ton of sense?

like. for context theres 4 different classes in the game. damagers, supports, lures and shields. they all obviously have varying stats and abilities depending on what theyre supposed to do

and the way you unlock new characters is usually by completing specific tasks with other previously unlocked characters. so for example to unlock drakula you need to get to a specific trial with mylo. to unlock jerry you need to get to a specific trial with drakula. etc

the mylo -> drakula -> jerry progression makes sense they're all damagers and have similar roles. they all still do different things but they at least play somewhat similarly?

but why am i being asked to put in a fuck ton of work as vaelis, a quick and frail support, to get filbert, a slow and tanky shield? why does caspian, a lure, require me unlocking drakula, instead of a different lure like azalea? why are you forcing me to play characters i dont want from a class i dont like just to get characters i do want from classes i do like
