“This place seems bigger than normal.” The third year said as she walked up the stairs to her next class. “But I guess that’s because there have been some renovations while I was gone.”

“Of course it’s bigger than normal,” Angelica replied, glancing down at her phone as they walked. “There’s more first years coming every fucking year so they have to make accommodations for us older students.”

“Awesome! This year is gonna be great. There are so many new faces on the squad.” The girl smiled. She looked down at her phone and started to text Ron to see if he would want to get some nachos after practice.

Angelica smiled slightly at the redhead, her enthusiasm for cheer was rivaling Kuki’s but the blonde could only handle so much happiness, “Yeah, I’m sure we’ll do good this year.” She replied, her eyes looking anywhere but Kim as an awkward silence followed.

 “Do you now? Who would listen to you?” The boy tilted his head with a small smirk. “I mean…cheerleaders, maybe little kids, but that’s only ‘cause you don’t look all that scary. Yet.”

Angelica narrowed her eyes at the kid, her mind made up now about her first impression of him. He did make some truthful points, maybe with everything that’s happened she’s grown soft, maybe she’d just have to go back to the old her. “Goes to show what the hell you know,” She rolled her eyes.

Angelica was impressed with his sarcastic tone, most people didn’t gain her approval that quickly but this kid did. “I’m always a step ahead of everyone else, I lead the whole bunch.”
