And it is time for round 3 of the 52 weeks photo challenge again. This week’s topic for lights and shadows is completely in black and white. Pic 1 my hubby again. I tried to play around with my mini studio and some setups. Pic 2 Roger Waters in a good position for shadowing and light falls. The light in both pictures can be seen nicely. I came to work today and picked up a package sent from Germany. When I opened it THIS was in it. I was sooooooooo happy🥰😍😄 My old and dear friend Astrid sent it to me as a belated Christmas or even more New Year 2019 gift! I always had the feeling this year I’ll make my year. Usually I’m not much into these hyped challenges but it made me thinking. And yes, it is interesting to see what all has happened in these years. 2009 I just came back from the US and worked on my looks as I changed completely during that time. In the meanwhile I started studying, I started my photography, I’ve lived in Berlin, India and now in China...I made experiences in good and bad ways and met a lot of interesting and lovely people and unbelievable but true: I got married!😄 Actually I don’t want to miss all of this because this summary of experiences is me nowadays! Since it is time for the first 52 weeks photography challenge with “My story” as a topic, it is of course not so much about a high quality picture at first but as an introduction of yourself. I want to get to know you better.😁 This summary of things and quotes represents pretty much who I am or in what I am interested in. Photography of course which is nicely represented with my Canon and editing/graphic designing which you can see on my laptop with Lightroom. Music is another big field of interests of mine. I actually like a lot of directions but mostly of course guitar dominated sounds. But as you can also see: My two most favorite bands Depeche Mode and Rammstein. That also represents very much my main influences. Travel is also an important part of my life which is represented in form of my passport and the quote “Too far only exists in your head”. I love to see other countries and cultures and that’s why I’m so open minded I think. Traveling is a way of spending money but nevertheless getting richer. That is why I like the quotes as well: „Never stop to start new again.“ Since I also had and have to go through a lot due to my UC, I started being interested in mindfulness and as a resolution 2019 I started mediation on a daily base. That’s represented in the Buddha figures, the calendar and the quote: “The only limit is you.“ and „Mission being happy“. What else defines me? The blue belt which I carry for more than 22 years. I started karate at the age of 10 and it is still an important part of me. Another resolution is to go back to it again after many years. But I really miss it. And of course my time in the German Navy which is nicely represented by my batches. A nice memory which will always be with me. It was a life changing decision in the most positive way! And of course my tattoos! There are people writing diaries but I carry my story on my skin and there is no end in sight. 😉 And last but not least: Something which was always an important part: Reading. Nicely represented by my comfortable chair and of course in writing (take a look at the book in front). I think now you got an idea who I am and what I am interested in. The time has come that 2018 finds an end. It was a year full of ups and downs but nevertheless: While looking back I must confess it was a pretty good year for #duvphotography as you can see in the top nine here on Insta as well. But this also mirrors my very ups in the last couple of weeks. After feeling low and sick for so long I finally got my rehab sorted and it pushed me back on track. Also I got a Push I would have never ever expected: I was able to click from the photo pit for the first time ever. Mostly in Germany but also once in Germany as well. Let’s hope it will be an even greater year 2019 for new ideas, collaborations, writing and people who want me to click them. Are YOU interested? Another highlight of 2018 was that Slayer gig with Lamb of God and some more. Unfortunately a bad quality. Pocket cam it was, I had a bad position as well.
