there was a moment yesterday and i can't tell if it's always like that, but ali had such a tone in his voice (that is NOT always there) when david tells star she has to drink right before 'war' that was desperate begging, like the "please" said was the desperation of a lover, a father, and a friend who just wanted to see the person they care about live

david then lingered for a second on the top rafter before war started with such a desperate look on his face, and only left at the line 'i'm always between / a match and gasoline'

No I don't think lost boys is telling us to reject found family for blood family I think it's telling us you can choose who your family are, found or blood its up to you who you let in your life and who you think is worthy of your love and time, who will accept you for you and not try to change you.

It tells us family comes in all different shapes and fonts.

But maybe thats just me.
