when i was a child my mother always warned me about the monsters in the books: the three-headed dogs that eat you alive; the dark souls that possess your body; the women who charm you with their voices; she always told me ‘son, always be careful and protect your heart and your soul’ but she never warned me about the women with hair the color of the sun who have iron pumping in their veins, fire in their broken heart, and moon dust in their eyes. that kind of creature was the most dangerous for my heart and my soul.

The Hallucination

This real life experience was shared with Sixpenceee by Lucy P (awaiting link to tumblr page).

Is it possible that there are miracles and mysteries happening to us everyday, but because it would be mentally impossible to have to confront them in between getting homework done or meeting work deadlines our minds silence them, explain them away as quickly as they happen. So we forget those little moments of other until in a quiet moment of boredom we are struck with an uncomfortable little twinge of memory. This has happened to me at least once but now I wonder if there have been many more instances.
