Amsterdam for the weekend

My mental health has improved so much now that I spend my mornings in nature. Nothing spectacular, just a minimum of 30 minutes of music and walking as soon as I wake up instead of doomscrolling and worrying over what the day will bring.

Here’s some photos from my walk!

I swear I got a bird in almost every shot I took 🙂 🐦‍⬛

I ended my walk at the ocean, where I actually stayed for a few hours. This was even more peaceful as the beaches won’t start getting crowded until the end of this month. It’s still a bit too cold to go for a dip 🧊

20/04 - 27/04

Nature is nurturing for my soul ☁️

Pic 1: My favourite solitude spot during my lunch break. I’ve started making it a habit to get away from my work desk and get some fresh air and sunshine. Those urgent! emails can wait.

Pic 2: Jupiter and the moon hanging out one evening. A shaky shot taken on a whim that still turned out to be beautiful. Unfortunately the clouds rolled in soon after I took this and they stayed for a few days.

Pic 3: Enjoying a rain shower and a few distant claps of thunder from the comfort and safety of my car. Rain is very soothing for me and rainy evenings are my absolute favourite.

Pic 4: My scenic route walking home consists of me passing by this large farmland. I wonder what the farmers have planted here? Only time will tell!

Growing up, I was always told to make a wish whenever I saw a bluebird. I have not seen one recently, and even if I do they always seem to fly away before I can take a photo. How lucky was I to finally capture one today on my walk home!
