New bjd doll!

This was the first one that I sculpted almost a year ago but I didn't really like her so I moved on and did some other things before going back to this project and finishing it and making it better.

This doll was the first one that I sculpted but I didn't really like the legs and the hip/knee joints so I waited some time and I resculpted

Now I'm very happy about it, I made a test print in pla because it's quicker but I STRONGLY recommend printing it with resin, I'll do it myself one day, when I can afford a new bottle of resin lol

Her name is Anemone!

The price is higher than Nerina because she is taller and with more joints than her, plus you get two versions of the torso part: one with a bigger butt and the other one.... with a smaller butt ahahah

Maybe I'll soon sculpt some high heeled feet for her and add them to the pack of file. And maaaaybe.... I'll do a different head that can hold animal ears, who knows :D

My first bjd!

It's done, it's finally done and I couldn't be happier, yes it's not perfect but it's my first, I printed it and it fits correctly together.

Once I'm done stringing it I'll upload some pictures, I'm planning on repainting it once I have time to spare.

It's been around a year since I started trying to sculpt a ball jointed doll and after multiple projects that failed I finally have one that

I just have some cute pics of my kitty to share with the world.

They gave me Studio Ghibli vibes with the golden light, the dust particles that sparkles like glitters, thanks to the sun hitting them and her mid-cleaning pose ahahah Before anyone starts, she's not fat the vet weighted her and said she's perfectly fine like this.

Look at this pretty rainbow too that I saw from the window the other day, if you look closely you can see a second one right underneath the one on top!

My biggest desire was owning a Ball jointed Doll, but they're really pricey if you want a proper made one and I couldn't afford to buy the ones I liked. Then I started diving into the 3d printing world and I learned how to 3d sculpt, I'm still not as skilled as I would like to be but I'm slowly making progress.

I've seen plenty of videos of doll customizer using bjds in their ooak and I decided to try it myself, I've made a few but they didn't satisfy me enough, of one I've printed almost all of the part and strung it too but.... I was still not completely happy about it.

Here are som pictures of it, I'm still working on this little fox but I need to finesse the tail because the one I sculpted was TOO big and heavy and it didn't pose well, pulling the doll down. This doll will eventually be available aswell for download on my cults3d account, once I'm happy with it.

Finally I've made one that I like a lot and have better joints than the ones I sculpted before, other than that I still have to make the test print and see if I have to make some tweaks and changes so it fits perfecly and has a good range of movements.

I even made the eye base so that I don't have to stress finding a size that fits and looks good too.

I still have to find a name for it, I have some ideas but it's not defined yet.

Once it's ready to be uploaded on my Cults3d account I'll share the link here as usual!

Am I ignoring the pile of laundry that needs to be folded and put away? Yes. Do I care? Also yes, but I fold clothes all day at my job and having to deal with MORE at home too it's just too much for my overstimulated brain.

So, while I try to gain the strenght to do chores I sculpt on Nomad, I'll soon post my thid attempt at sculpting a bjd, will it make the cut to beign sellable this time? Who knows but I'm positive, I guess.

✦ Here's the other 3d printable file inspired by Nana, the Yazawa's world and, obviously, Vivienne Westwood.

One day I'll be able to afford the real thing but for now, that money are pretty rare in my bank account, I have to be satisfied with a 3d printed replica.

When I have time I'll work on a smaller version that can be made into earrings or a smaller pendant, because this have already a pretty thin cross so making it smaller isn't an option.

Gokinjo Monogatari and Paradise Kiss are in absolute my favourite work when talking about the anime/manga world and I especially love the fashion aspect about them, like the Happy berry brand and logo, it's so cute, I even have a little bag that I use sparingly because I fear that it will break and I will not be able to find another one again, since I bought it at least ten years ago...

So I whipped out my tabled, opened Nomad sculpt and made the little berry with wings with a hole passing through, so that it can be made into a necklace or earrings!

Sharing my cults3d account, it's been a little while since I started learning how to 3d scultp and I'm very proud of what I've accomplished so far.

I'm currently working on something that I've longed for years and years: a bjd! In future posts I'll share a little sneak peek of what it will look like, it's almost done, but I still need to finish printing all the parts to be sure everything has a good fit and mobility.

Starting strong with a picture of my beautiful baby, she's a pain in the ass and a constant attention seeker, but I love her.

What will this blog be? Don't know, I just need some place where I can share pictures of what I love so that I can go back to it and scroll through memories when I feel down, which is very often lately.

Being a grown up sucks, try to save up as much money as you can kids, because when you're an adult and live on your own there's always a rainstorm of things to pay.
