People have criticized Cinderella for waiting for a man to come and save her, or that she only went to the ball to meet and fall in love with the prince. But as her words here prove, Cinderella actually had NO idea the man with whom she was dancing and fell in love WAS the prince!

No, Cinderella only went to the ball for a night of fun and to escape her miserable life. Unlike her stepsisters, she had no plans of falling in love, meeting, and dancing with prince. If anything, him choosing her was a well-deserved reward for her never giving up on her dreams and believing that they would one day come true.
