Got a job as a tour guide in the city, there’s a lot of road closures for the 250th anniversary of Amerikkka and the 4th of July. Took a wrong turn on the golf cart, almost hit the highway, the guests left the cart, police had to stop traffic to help me turn around. I check my phone, more posts about Gaza, earlier on the tour one of the guests said “pull over if you see a homeless guy selling water”. Things are very strange.

And I felt embarrassed to not know which building was which. L…..O….L

Just started a new job after doing gig work for some time, I’m in the city again. I really hate dc, I don’t understand why people move places with such a visually stark poverty and homelessness issue. I hate seeing my people on the streets surrounded by tourists. What do I do, because this is what it means to be white, whiteness being socially constructed, I’d be akin to the society that lived alongside the suffering and degradation of a group of people. Maybe I’m just sinking into the fact that my souls mission may just lead to more suffering, if all efforts are acts of terrizm to a genocidal state maybe I have to anticipate jail and potentially even death realistically, less my future look like a hallowed out soul, I want to savor a life I never got to fully yield, falling in love, good memories, on the horizon but what if my neighbor needs me more. They do, and yet I can’t stand in broken ground. How do I fight for you if I’m still licking my own wounds. Ima get it together, I know I will, I’m just thinking out loud
